Really disappointed to take my family over to this shop. Especially disappointed that they're sharing political beliefs in front of their shop and inside their shop that's very incendiary and very anti-christian. Disappointed they can't keep their politics themselves.

Adorable shop with cute bohemian clothing, books, candles, incense, picture frames, and other great gift items. Many items are yoga/spiritual in nature, including books. The architecture/design of the shop is classic historic Durango.

We had the worst customer service experience today in this store. Unfortunate because it did have interesting inventory. I was in line to pay. When it was my turn the counter person said " Sorry, (man's name) is going next. She then proceeded to check her friend out and gossip and giggle while i kept my distance and waited for an unreasonable amount of time. I thought things like that happened in movies. When it was finally my turn to pay, she was EXTREMELY rude. Considering how many small businesses are failing during the pandemic, I would THINK a small store would care more about their customers. I should have dropped my items on the floor and walked out. I was just so surprised by the behavior, it didn't occur to me. I don't know if the saleswoman was the owner or hired help. Nice job giving the "shop local" a bad name, either way. When your customer service falls way behind the local Walmart, better reconsider the way you are running your business.

Great place for reasonably priced items. Staff can help with colors/sizes and can print your design choice while you wait.

Love this place. They have a huge inventory of a variety of items. The stpre is clean, smells oh so good and the staff is very helpful. Plus...they allow dogs!!

I always find something I love here! Beaded hat band...LOVE! Cute undies...yes please!! Adorable gifty mugs...I'll take two!

Use to be better. Now it's like every other store. Nothing original. People are nice. Place is clean.

This is one of my favorite home town stores. They have everything my little hippy heart desires. This is a great place to get some super soft clothes or some funny home decor. And the service is amazing.

Animas Trading in Durango doesn't fit neatly into a subcategory. Here you will find a wide variety of items such as: -rubbings from temples in Thailand -wise-ass bumper stickers -a nice variety of liberal leaning stickers & buttons -jewelry -clothing -costumes -cards -posters -decorative items from Asia and India -much more etc. In total you get a store full of cool and colorful stuff. Definitely worth a stop if you're in Durango.

Amazing! The woman at the cashier was very nice and talked to us for a bit! They have the best dress up accessories! My kids where entertained for many hours! And when my kid wanted to get some lip balm the lady gave it to her for free. They also had very inexpensive dresses. Their stickers and magnets where funny.

Stopped in specifically for two items; 1) Tibetan prayer flags to bring good luck to my chickens, 2) a birthday card for my father. They had the flags but we're out of the small size. :( They had some cool cards, but only one spinner rack. I bought a card with a peace sign/turtle on it and the cute girl at the counter let me use some of her markers to fill it out. Great service for such a low dollar sale! I bought the medium prayer flags and they look good on my coop!

A fantastic little hippie store. A huge selection of clothing, including some stylish selections for guys - a rare find - and an ample clearance rack. Lots of pretty handmade items, too. Their upstairs held curtains, prayer flags, Tibetan door covers, table runners and other home decor, as well as small statues and hand knit wool hats and gloves. To top it all off, the cheerful shopkeeper packed our purchase for us into a purple reusable bag. Definitely a jewel in historic Durango.

fun hippie selections... i fell in love with many of the skirts and dresses but they did not have ANY sizes so it was a tease shopping around. i'm not even close to being a hippie but enjoy the "tamer" lines of clothes (broomstick skirts, elegant tank tops, etc.) that animas carries all for good prices. i also love their selection of scarves and accessories including some great costume jewelry. they also have other "paraphanelia" that reminded me of the local shops near uw-madison's campus. i probably would've dropped a lot of cash if had they a better stock of sizes!

Patchouli If I had to sum this place up in one word, it would be Patchouli I don't like Patchouli oil, not at all The problem is, I like this store, it has been a staple of Durango for many many years, and you don't survive that long unless you are doing something right. If you are looking for someplace to letter your inner hippy out, want to get a costume or just looking for a place to buy tights that aren't $80 and build for the artic, like my wife was, this is a fun stop in Durango. If you hate Patchouli, this is not the place for you. Patchouli Patchouli Patchouli

I love this store! The staff is friendly and helpful, and the owners work hard to find current, cute clothes and items and definitely keep them affordable. Easy place to find a gift for anyone, especially yourself.

As good as a hippie shop can get! Fun, funky imports, hippie chick scarves, dresses, jewelry etc. baby clothes, Men's and some kids clothes. Nice customer service. Great shop!

If you're looking for cute/boho chic, quality clothing and gifts in Durango, Animas Trading is the place to go! Really great pricing, awesome customer service and are the best option in Durango for the newest trends. After shopping around at other stores I found some of the same brands but for half the price at Animas. Definitely going back when I come to Durango next.

Unique local store with interesting items and clothing. A great place to find the perfect gift.
