It is one of best museums in Ankara. Best location, comfortable links between salons, and the pieces inside are eye candies. It was part of culture route festival 2025 so it was free to visit too. Reminder: you put your bags or items in the locker room. You can take photos but no flashes.

The contemporary arts museum offers a fantastic atmosphere with ample space for art appreciation. While accessibility could improve, the real downside is the inadequate lighting, making painting visibility challenging. Some pieces may require a change in location to truly appreciate them. Moreover, temperature and humidity control for painting preservation needs enhancement. Despite these issues, the overall experience is excellent, with a diverse collection making it completely worth a visit for art enthusiasts. ₺90 normal, ₺60 student.

I very much enjoyed this little treat of an Art museum. Unfortunately, there is no good audio guide so tourists can learn more about these rich paintings. In that case I’d give it 5 stars. Here in this museum, you can see how Turkish painters in the 19th and 20th centuries were working right alongside the great European and American artists and learning a lot from those styles and giving it their own unique Turkish flavor and diving into rich themes of Turkish history and culture. I also especially enjoyed the modern artworks, which I thought were just as good as some that you would find in the great modern art museums of the west.
