Soo good!! This the second time I ordered from them. This is turkey, it was so juicy and well seasoned I thought it was griot lol. The last time I got chicken and same thing. The food is cleaned well, and seasoned well. I’m so shocked because it’s hard to get good Haitian food in this area but they really have great food and great portions ! Delivery is a little long so try to order in advance, my only complaint? I wish they were open Sundays!

This is the worst Haitian food I've ever had in my life. First of all, the guy was sitting in the dark. It should've been a red flag, but I still walked in anyway. The rice was pasty and looked light skin, the chicken was really dry, and I've never seen Haitian sauce look that chunky. It must've days old with how disgusting it tasted. The place didn't even look like the pictures, nor did the food. I would've put zero stars if I could. And the fact that he paid that much for those two pieces of chicken is crazy to me.

As a newcomer to the wonders of Haitian food, I would say I am a fan. The flavors are both foreign and nostalgic. I dont have a great deal of things to compare to the service or food, but impressed was not what I would use for the food, nor service. Greeter made me feel like an imposition on his well-earned leisure time. Compared the other Haitian eatery I have had the pleasure this food pails in comparison. I presumed due to the kind of service received, the food would be great (those who know, know). Sufficient to say disappointed by both. Maybe I'm spoiled.

I would say more of a take out spot but I have eaten there. The food is always good and the owners pleasant. I go about every couple of week. This place is consistently good and worth a try.

First time at Amnwey Eatery and it did not disappoint. The food was great, tasted amazing, and came packed. Will definitely be returning soon for a variety of Haitian cuisine.

I always take out. And love everything I order there. The gentleman at cashier sometimes let you sample something that you are not familiar with, which is nice and helpful.

Haitian food is delicious but not at this restaurant. I ordered the Legume and I couldn’t eat it. It was gross!! And they’re Akra….OMG, like how can you make bad Akra?? But they did!! Fat pieces and just gross!! I took two or three bites of what I ordered and just couldn’t suffer through it, so ended up throwing it away. I felt bad because I hate to throw away food. But it was just so bad! I don’t think it’s a Haitian person cooking, because there’s no way it should taste that bad!!

If you’re looking for authentic Haitian food, please do NOT waste your money and time at this place. I ordered rice and beans with chicken in sauce and side of Akra, my husband ordered the griot with rice and beans. The WORST place we’ve came across to buy Haitian food. The chicken, griot, akra, pikliz all TERRIBLE. I wouldn’t even consider this as Haitian food as a fellow Haitian. Long story short we both ended up pretty sick, I threw up everything and my husband’s came out the other end. Sad part about it is we didn’t even eat all of the food, thank God! May have spent the night at the ER. Disappointed isn’t even the word! For the sake of the rating scale, I gave it a 1 but in all honesty this place deserves a ZERO!!!!

Grubhub ordered because I was feeling for haitian food. After looking around, I decided to try this spot. I ordered the $12 medium griot fritalle (fried pork), which came with 3 Akra, 4 pieces of fried plantain, and half of a sausage; pikliz. The fried pork pieces were mostly fat and looked like the side dish for $5; literally, i counted 7 pieces. Nothing too special in taste, really bland, not even a hint of salt n pepper; even the pikliz didn't help. The Akra was good, and the sausage was good. Also, I got a side of black rice, and that also was just Ok. The food was hot, at least. I appreciate the delivery from bedstuy, but I don't think I would order from there again. They didn't even send sauce with the rice. Smh. I was planning on going in person, but now I don't know.

I'm home for the weekend and figured I'd take advantage and get some authentic Caribbean food (sorry, nowhere else does it like NYC). I settled on Haitian food, and after some Googles I settled on Anmwey Eatery. The reviews were good and it was only a 5 minute drive from my mom's house. I ordered at the counter when I arrived. I knew I wanted griot (fried pork) with black rice, so that's what I ordered. They were busy, so my food took about 30 minutes to be ready. I was fine with the wait. The bar seats were comfy and I was on my phone. There was also loud reggae music playing from the other room, so I was jammin. I got home and dug into my food and it was almost perfect. The griot was delicious. Just crunchy enough on the outside and tender on the inside. The black rice was a little disappointing, but nothing major. I love black rice, but it lacked flavor. Luckily they give you a side of gravy, which was tasty. I should've taken the girl at the counter up on her offer to get an extra side of gravy. I still devoured everything though. It also came with fried plantain. I'm not a huge fan of unsweet plantain, but it was good when I added the picklez to it. Picklez is spicy, so tread lightly if you don't like heat. 5 stars for Anmwey. I will certainly return.

The food is good. I love the chicken and fries. Also, they have Passion Fruit Rum Punch that's really good. They have karaoke night sometimes during the weekend and that's super fun. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood.

I just ordered some food and am so happy I did. The food is excellent and I am so excited to have a Haitian restaurant near me. Thank you.

AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE. Ordered via yelp with the intention to take out but the atmosphere was so welcoming I paused my plans and dined in!!! I enjoyed everything on my plate, the hospitality, and the great conversation from the workers!

This is a great Haitian restaurant. The owners are very friendly and provide great service. They made ordering and paying for food very easy. Also the food tastes excellent. We loved the Tasso cabrit, rice and beans, macaroni, plantains (both sweet and salty). I ordered the large platters for everything and we had food for days!!! Thanks so much and I'm definitely coming back.

It was raining and I wasn't familiar with that part if Brooklyn and was I. The mood for some carribean food so my cousin suggested this food spot. The place is in a unique residential location and seems like the only spot similar to this place . It's a new place and they have just opened a small cozy mini bar next door to the food food spot that serve carribean Creole food you can relax and chill. however I only came to grab my food so I can go eat at my cousin's house. I ordered the fried came with the flatten fried marinated goat meat cut in small pieces cube style, along with plantains and delicious rice I think they added coconut and the side side had pikliz a hot homegrown hot sauce. Hope to be back in the summer I heard they will look into open mic poetry,creative night this will be good for the community .

Nice spot with excellent food. A little piece of heaven. Haitian inspired cuisine. Well priced food. Did not disappoint.

Amazingly fresh soup joumou. Really cute decor. Friendly service. Great prices. I can't wait to come back for some live entertainment and to sample some more food.

I ordered the Fritay and the Mac and cheese. Both were great. Pikliz was really flavorful. Would definitely try again.

Food was disgusting & charge me extra 50 cent for sauce I asked for on the side of my rice . Food was like warm do better

I always order the legim with beef, white rice, plantains, and pikliz. Amazing food. Great prices for the quantity of food. Always made fresh. And the customer service is above average- even when they're extremely busy. I ordered last weekend, and they told me up front that the order would take longer because they were servicing a very large party. The food was worth the wait, as usual. I prefer home cooked food. When you eat here, it's like a home cooked meal. I pray that this business thrives, because this family owned spot deserves continued success and exposure. Bed Stuy needed this spot! They fed me during the pandemic and I will continue to support this business as long as I'm in Brooklyn!

Wow, Anmwey Eatery was truly magnificent. Clean, vibe is cool. These guys certainly have a terrific menu also. You're greeted with a smile and warmth when you enter Anmwey Eatery. Overall, I love Anmwey Eatery.

The food here was so excellent! we brought a large group and everyone really loved everything! tasted very fresh. folks had fish, chicken, goat and vegetarian stew as well as various treatments of plantains. The chefs (a married couple) came out and spoke to us. The husband is also a musician so we recommend that you ask him to play his band's Haitian music while you are there too. The meal preparation takes time so I wouldn't recommend being in a hurry (unless you order ahead I guess for pickup) , we were a large group so that of course added time.

So i ordered the chicken dinner, and these ppl literally gave me a big piece of chicken and a half pot of rice. WHERES THE PLANTAINS?!!! Chicken was overcooked and the rice was ok. Worst carribean dish i ever ate on god.

Nice spot to bring friends and family; the food is simply delicious. This has been the only restaurant I used from the time I discovered it.
