These are the kind of places you just stumble upon. And you’re thankful you did. 75 years and they’re not done yet. Loved the spaghetti and the service was great atmosphere is classic.

The restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas with many different scenes around the restaurant. The wait staff were knowledgeable about the menu and very helpful. The food was delicious. I had the prime rib, which was delicious and will feed me for at least two other meals. The herbed potatoes were also very good. This is a place my parents and their friends go to every New Year's Eve and I completely understand why. I'll definitely be back throughout the year.

We did make reservations 30 people, we had a few cancellations but still 22. The waiter was so good. She took care of all of us and there was another party of 24 and she did most of the serving, she did have help delivering our meals. If 100 is the best she was better than that. Great food short wait and great prices.

I came here years ago and it was great. Not sure if it was just a bad evening for them or what. The worst part was the service. Not just slow but the servers were rude. I won't list the incidents but several times the two that took care of our party of 19 had attitudes. Wasn't expecting that. The food was still overall good. The atmosphere suffered as the lights above us kept dimming and brightening all evening. I don't know what was causing that but it was annoying. Overall not a good experience.

There was 7 in our group, they managed our seating swiftly. The food here is excellent, their specialty is Italian, we had the Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo, Spaghetti and Chicken Parmesan. Dinners came with salad and bread and again food was excellent, service was wonderful and pricing very reasonable. We will definitely go back.

My husband and I had the most disappointing experience here. The food was ok but the service was horrendous. I am not sure if it's because we were in a group for a birthday party and the waitress knew she had already secured herself a 20% large gratuity tip or if she truly just didn't care. We had ketchup in a cup basically thrown at us, no one attempted to help clean it up and the girl literally walked away stating "not my fault." The lights flickered all night and I had to get my own drinks from the bar because the waitress could have cared less if we had something to drink or not. Sad that such a cute place could bring in such a negative experience all because of several truly despicable waitresses. I will never go back.

Was there for an amateur radio club Christmas lunch and it was very good. The service was competent, efficient, and congenial. The food was delicious and warm. The ambiance was comfortable, isolated, and quiet. Definitely fine for groups.

Traveled out to West Jefferson today for some lunch. Decided to finally check out Ann & Tony's, been on my list for quite a while. Ordered the Italian Combo #2. It consists of Lasagna, Chicken Parmesan and Fettuccine Alfredo. It also came with a salad and bread. The Alfredo had a weird flavor to it, like it was really buttery taste to it. The Lasagna was really tasty with a nice tomato sauce on top, a good layer of cheese and a lot of meat layered in. There were a number of layers to it. On to the Star which was the Chicken Parmesan. It has a nice crispy exterior with a juicy chicken inside. Had a nice layer of cheese and sauce on it. Very flavorful. The salad was nothing special. Italian bread was nothing special either. I wanted to close this with a positive which was my waitress Brittany. She was on it from the beginning and timed out everything, Checked on me a number of times and made sure I was well taken care of.

Great food for the value! Chicken parm with spaghetti is $12.99. It comes with a salad and bread. The butter with the bread is real salted butter which is leaps and bounds better than margarine. The chicken parm was a good sized serving and I think it was better than Olive Garden. Atmosphere is grandma-core. Placed even smells like my grandma's house did. But, that's usually where you had great meals as a kid. Service was good. We sat ourselves for lunch and after a few minutes the server brought menus and then even less time later we ordered. Salads came out quickly and by the time we were done with salad, the main dish was ready. Our price for 2 people (entrees and drinks) was $40 including tip. I would definitely come back!

First time dining at this restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised by the variety on the menu and the very affordable prices. The food was excellent. Our server was kind, attentive, and truly went above and beyond. We watched her gently assist an older gentleman as he stood up to reach his walker. My husband offered to help, but the gentleman quickly assured him that the server knew exactly how to assist him. That small moment spoke volumes about the level of care and service here. If I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely eat here again.

It has been 9 months since we last came here to eat. My husband was disappointed with his entree which was The Monty which was on the special menu. One side of the chicken was very well done and very dark in color like it was forgotten on the grill. He also felt that his spaghetti was mushy. My sampler plate was great! I loved the Chicken Parmesan and the Alfredo noodles. I ended up taking my lasagna home. The salad and bread were tasty! The service was good after the waitress saw that we had been seated. We didn't arrive until 7:00. We loved the Lower London Dixieland Band which was the entertainment! We will definitely be coming again!

Heard great things so we had to stop in for a visit. There is plenty of seating inside and bar to stop in for a drink. The portions sizes are very generous and the sauce has nice flavor. Each member of our party ordered a dinner which included salad and bread. We also tried a cheesecake dessert which was really nice as well.

Some of the best Italian anywhere! Though we did not all have Italian the food here is amazing! The service was outstanding tonight especially as we dined with Collin (sp?)(sorry doll) and she was great! This place is so cozy and the ambience is great. You can see in my pics the green check tablecloths, they serve fresh Italian bread, and the food is homemade. They have been here for a long time and I hope they stay forever!!

We went to Ann & Tony's when I lived in the area over 30 years ago - we were back visiting family and friends and joined my cousin for dinner. The restaurant is family owned and managed with the same recipes and attention to details. The service is what you'd expect from a small family run restaurant in a small town. The ambiance is quaint Italian and everyone is so friendly with large portions at very reasonable prices.

This is a hidden gem! Good homemade pasta and more than you can eat. Small Italian eatery, nice ambiance. I had the Spaghetti with Italian sausage and had a great meal. My wife had the sampler and it was all very good too. Nice glass of Merlot to go along with it. This is a good place to travel to. Probably reservations are recommended but we got in no problem.

We stopped at Ann & Tony's on our way home, looking for a place we hadn't been before. The portions are generous. The lasagna was the stand out.

I had Prime Rib and it was outstanding. Tender, juicy and flavorful. We had a group of 15 people including three kids. They handled us perfectly. Great service staff! We had a separate room which was very nice. A nice interior and plenty of onsite parking. A great place enjoyed by all!

Passing through, and pulled up Yelp for a good place to stop for dinner. We weren't disappointed! Delicious dishes, and huge portions! Give it a go!

We had Good food. We had a fun waitress and she provided good service. A little pricy for what they provided, but we will be back. Yummy leftovers for the next day, too.

We visit the restaurant almost every time we are in town. The family owned history brings a personal touch with their food, customer service and charm. We receive excellent service and delicious meals

This was my second visit here in the past 8 years and the food was just as good as the first time. I intend to come more often. I met Mike G for a Friday night dinner; we had reservations and were seated at a booth. The back dining room had been cleared of a few tables, and all staff wore masks. Great old school Italian restaurant: impressive service, food, portions, prices, and you can't beat a $6 glass of wine (a large pour). My grilled perch with red-skinned potatoes and grilled, breaded zucchini was a wonderful comfort food dinner. The pasta dishes are served with a meat sauce, but you can ask for the marinara instead. There are seafood plates. Dinners include salads, and rolls with herb butter. I passed this time, but they have a large selection of desserts.

Wow, I'm so disappointed to say how much this restaurant has went down hill. We arrived for our 2pm reservation on Father's Day. They were not busy. The hostess stand was friendly and seated us right away. We were put in a side room that was noticeably hot (the air conditioner in this room is obviously broken). Not sure why they would continue to seat people in this room. We were BOILING. It took over 40 mins. to receive our salad and bread. The salad looked kinda sad, but the Italian dressing was still very good. 2 members of our party received their food around 7 mins before the others. The food tasted great as we had a party of 6 and everyone did enjoy the food part (once it came!). Overall, super disappointing. I hope they can get it together. No longer a fan.

The service was excellent, and the staff were more than warm and friendly. I always feel bad leaving a review that's less than excellent, but I didn't love the meal. The food was fairly well prepared, and I'd say it was good, just wasn't so good that I'd make the trip back to eat there again. I don't mean this to be mean, but the menu felt like it was from maybe the 70's or 80's, and hasn't really been updated in decades. I got the prime rib. It was huge and pricey as a result. Would be nice to have an option for a smaller cut as many others offer. It didn't say the size, but I think it was 20 Oz or more, which is more than an average person would typically eat, I'd think. But overall, the flavor was kinda mild, and didn't really excite me compared to others I've had. The bread seemed like store bought bread, which isn't what I'd expect from a nice Italian restaurant. I hoped for something unique and delicious. The salad and the house dressing also seemed like little care was given to their creation. Just nothing special about it. If you like old school mom & pop Italian food, and live close, there's really nothing wrong with this restaurant. And again, the food isn't bad in anyway. It's just not something that was so good, that I'd make a special trip to go there again.

Small town Italian restaurant with tons of seating. Unfortunately hit by the pandemic they are understaffed but so friendly and accommodating. The sauces are made with love but don't expect a diverse set of dishes - pretty much just Alfredo and spaghetti as far as pasta goes!

Planned a surprise retirement party and had at least 20 guests. The server came in and said if the balloons bother her, we would need to get rid of them. My husband ordered a second beer after his first was done, glass taken, she brings him a beer and he asked for a glass to which she said "drink it redneck style" She had other tables which I thought was silly since our reservation had been set for at least 3 weeks, she was hardly in our area. The food, I had always heard great things, but it was not great. I had the spaghetti with Italian sausage and had a plate full of water & 2 small sausage halves. I'm sure back in it's prime it was good, things have gone downhill.

Back for another family dinner and visit! Limited menu and staff still due to covid and I'm sure some supply chain slow downs. The cute little shop has been moved out unfortunately. Food is still great even with the smaller menu. Portion sizes are still massive thorough, so don't get the large unless you're planning on leftovers!

Wonder small business that is worth the trip every single time. Authentic Italian and some of the best Prime Rib you will ever have. If you have the opportunity check it out. You will not be disappointed!

Food is delicious. We have been going to Ann & Tony's for 40 years. The food has always been good and still is delicious. The service is always good and friendly. Ambiance is good also.

Best kept secret in Columbus. One of the very best Italian restaurants is nestled right in the middle of West Jefferson. Never had had a bad or even mediocre meal here. Food is 5 star and the service and staff are top notch as well. If you want an authentic experience take a small drive and definitely check them out!

Food and service was great. Waitresses were very attentive friendly and the food was hot. Very reasonably priced.

For starters they had a sign on the door that said masks are optional and none of the employees were wearing masks which was awesome to see! It felt like life is slowly but surely getting back to a sense of normalcy! Thank you for using common sense. Now for the service. The service was excellent! Our waitress was very nice and took great care of us. Our food came out rather quickly. Now for the food. The house salad was warm like it had been sitting out for awhile. The house Italian dressing was very good. However, some of the lettuce looked wilted and some of the edges were brown. I had the Veal Parmesan with spaghetti & a meatball. There was water under the spaghetti from them not draining the noodles properly. The sauce just tasted ok I've had better. The veal was ok tasting. It was not the best veal I've eaten. The meatball was good though and had a good flavor. Overall, my wife and I were not that impressed with the taste of the food. She got a combination plate with Chicken Parmesan & Lasagna. The lasagna had a funny taste to it. The rolls when our server brought them out were soft and warm but, after they were sitting on our table for a bit, they became hard like a rock. I give the food a 1 star but I'm giving them two stars because our server was good and friendly. We will stick to our favorite Italian place in Gahanna. Sorry Ann & Tony we gave your place a try but, it wasn't as good as we hoped it would be and not worth the long drive to get there.

This is a good small town restaurant - Always yummy stuff on the menu. The staff and owner are super friendly and glad you decided to visit with them for your meal. We've been here a few times now, and it's always been good. Prices are relatively cheaper than what you would get for the same meal at another restaurant. I'm not sure if they do specials on all the days of the week, but we've had the Sunday specials - and they're really good. They smoke their own ribs out back and they're delicious!!

Good authentic Italian cuisine with fair prices. Old school style food with a good menu that reminds you of eating at a friend's house.

Best spaghetti and meatballs in USA! Great service , when dining in. Really great for takeout, too. Tom and Judy are best owners ever and greatest people ever. Only wish you were closer to Atlanta:) Happy and healthy 2022!

We have been meaning to try this place for over a year and we are great we finally had a chance to visit. The sauce is very good. The portion sizes are well worth the money. Unless you are very hungry I would suggest only getting the small portion. The only reason I'm giving a giving 4 stars is the side salad wasn't much to right home about and the place is a bit dated. We are differently returning soon.

Unfortunately they are not presently open for lunches but dinner is Fantastic! The BEST lasagna, terrific chicken parm. ... Truly the entire menu is YUMMY! Great prices. Nothing swank but so comfortable and friendly.

Amazing food , best Italian I've had in a very long time. Definitely a hidden gem. Already thinking about my next visit.

We were standing outside Ann & Tony's after celebrating my grandma's 90th birthday dinner Sunday afternoon. There were 14 of us and we all were commenting on what a wonderful time we had at this restaurant. We were all very impressed with these folks and the great service we got here. Everyone ordered something different from lasagna, to prime rib, spaghetti and meatballs, sampler platters and crab cakes. All of us enjoyed our dinners (unusual for us). Our dinners ranged from $14 to $20 so it was an excellent value for the quantity and quality of food we received. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with Grilled Shrimp and it was quite good with a nice buttery sauce over pasta with plenty of shrimp on top. The sauces they use are homemade too, so extra points for that. The service we received from Angie was excellent. I give her kudos for being nice and polite while giving us that "just right" balance of friendly but not obtrusive service. As Bill S. said in his review, Ann & Tony's is "Truly a find." Anyone who enjoys Italian food, steaks and seafood will like this quaint little independent Italian restaurant just 10 minutes west of Columbus. The atmosphere is comfortable in a homey relaxed setting. I understand that it used to be a house years ago so there's several different rooms, of which two of them have fireplaces which was cool to see. I guess this place puts me in mind of Villa Nova in Clintonville if that helps you get a visual. My grandma's 90th birthday was important to the family and these folks came through for us with shining colors. I couldn't find anything wrong with our experience so, 5 stars.

This place is a decent option! Pasta dishes are good (HUGE!) and can't complain about the seafood options. I would say some of the dishes are overpriced but luckily my dad usually picks up the tab ;) Staff is super friendly and they have great selections from the bar. Will continue going back!

Really love this place, love the food and family atmosphere but some real management issues. Today I called to order food to-go and they told me "We can't take orders to-go because we're too understaffed." What? So, then you rather turn a customer away, lose business? Weird.

I hate that all of the Central Ohio Italian places are closing up and disappearing. Especially these old school places from the past that carry a legacy. I came to Ann & Tony's after years of passing it by when driving through West Jeff. I've heard nothing but good, and the parking lots were typically always full (including weeknights). The restaurant actually holds a nice grouping of folks, and that's what exactly was here-- Large parties of people celebrating all kinds of occasions. The decor is a little confusing... and cluttered, but not in a good way. I think it could use some sprucing up, and maybe less.... push on the home decor feel. The menu options are spot on for basics. There wasn't too much gimicky, or feeding the masses options on there, which can easily eat up a restaurants budget and quality. I order one of the combo dinners in small. They have two portion sizes. I highly recommend the small for comfort and the dessert lovers. The large one is likely obscene. I was quite happy after my half portion, and left a little room to squeeze some Italian Creme cake. My meal had the lasagna, Chicken Parm & fettucini Alfredo. All were ok. None were mind blowing like the reviews I had heard from friends and family who got to experience Ann & Tony's in the 90's and before. I wish I could really love this place more. It's Mom & Pop all the way, but I think they are doing what they can to get by, which may not be the numero top quality generations go to experience. I'm not saying to write off this place, but don't travel two states to try this, or you'll be sorely disappointed. The meal was good... the prices were a bit steep, but it was overall a good/average experience.

Service was good. Marinara sauce was tart and unappealing; meatball was dry. Wine glass was dirty. House Red blend wine was surprisingly nice. Ambiance was pleasant,

This little Italian joint reminds me of a good old mom and pop Italian restaurant in my hometown, Youngstown. The menu is small and simple. They offer the best pour of moscato that ive ever had. The food is solid, and the service ain't bad, either.

Today was my first visit here. I ordered the prime rib, and it was outstanding! The portion was huge and cooked to perfection. This was truly one of the best prime rib dinners I have ever had. Will be back for sure.

It is too bad this place is on the other side of town. We picked up carryout, way too early for dinner. Of course eating carryout a couple of hours later is not going to be as good as dining in. We had the combo with lasagna, spaghetti and chicken parmesan. The lasagna and spaghetti were much better than expected. I am picky about sauces and this sauce was meaty. The chicken parm and salad were average. The rolls were soft, I prefer crusty and came with butter. Taking a peak at the restaurant, I thought it was beautiful inside. I hadn't been here for 40 years....like I said, way on the other side of town. Prices are reasonable for the portions. If I lived this way, I would put this place on my rotation. For you eastsiders, this is better than the original Butch's.

Living in Grove City, I'm embarrassed that this was my first time at Ann & Tony's. When I couldn't decide between prime rib and an Italian dish, I told the waitress " I can get prime rib anywhere" and reply was "no you can't; ours is the best!" Challenge accepted and yes, she was right! Best prime rib anywhere in Cbus!!! Who would have thought a little family owned restaurant could beat out the finest steakhouses in the city! Well, they do!

Made a reservation for our birthday lunch. The area they put us in was perfect, we were away from traffic coming and going from the rest of restaurant. The server was great and did a great job and as always the food was awesome. Come early on Sunday to beat the church crowd or expect a wait.

Most likely at one time this was a great Mom & Pop Italian restaurant--not so much anymore. The food missed the mark in many areas--the pasta was over cooked and soft rather than al dente, the salad greens were brown and wilted and dripping in the house dressing, the Fettuccini Alfredo tasted like it came from a jar or packet, and the pasta was smothered in too much sauce. We were given a "signature butter" that was basically butter mixed with dried Italian seasoning, rather than fresh herbs with cold rolls. Not at all a meal expected from a restaurant that knows and understand good Italian cooking. While the food was mediocre and could be tolerated, the food safety actions observed of one server could not. Although she seemed to be very friendly with an older gentleman who was eating his meal in the bar area (he may have been the owner Tony), she continued to pick at his meal and grab bites from his plate with her fingers, then would walk back to the bar and continue working. ServSafe guidelines do not allow a food server worker to personally eat from a guest's plate. Also, after eating or touching their mouths and prior returning to serving guests, food server workers are expected to wash their hands to avoid the passing of viruses and bacteria. Paperwork was spread across several front tables in the bar--if a restaurant needs to use a table or two to complete paperwork or other work related items--that is fine but do it in the back of the restaurant not front and center just because that's where the television is positioned. The server who helped us was great. Food was a little slow but she continued to come back often to check on us.

Great hidden little restaurant, family owned, one location, a staple in the WJ area. Keep up the great work, look forward to every visit.

My family celebrated a birthday on Thursday and we showed up and the front room / bar area looked really empty. I figured we were early. The hostesses were two young ladies and one of them said they would get us our table and the other hostess talked with us and we joked a bit. Pleasant wait, not long. A sign on the plexiglass protection said to please have patience because they were short staffed. You wouldn't be able to tell at all. There were more waitresses and waiters than i have seen in any two big restaurants in YEARS. The dining room was kind of empty when we arrived, but it quickly filled up, when we left, there was not an empty table. Our waitress, Brenda, took our orders efficiently and bread, garlic butter, and our salads arrived very quickly. West Jeff had a water situation that night, and she explained that as our drinks arrived in cans. When the entrées arrived they were hot. I don't mean, waiting under a lamp hot, I mean burn your mouth just thinking about touching the food hot. The green beans were like lava. Again, since the pandemic, restaurant food usually arrives slowly and is meh warm at best, not here. It was fantastic. The portions were filling and delicious. One of us had one of the samplers, and all three portions looked good, especially the chicken parm, which i wish I had ordered after seeing it. The birthday boy ordered the prime rib, and even though I am not a prime rib person, it looked HUGE and he said it was really good. I had the fish and fries, (I know boring at an Italian restaurant) but the fries torched my finger tips (pre seasoned). The haddock sticks were really tasty. Two of us got dessert, which are probably standard fare. I wished I had gotten the tiramisu, but I didn't get dessert. The double chocolate cake looked decadent and moist. The cheesecake looked very creamy. The only complaint about any of the food was that the cheesecake could have used a fruit topping. That was it. It was a very nice meal, with great service and awesome ambiance. Personally, I felt like I was stepping back in time, when all sit down restaurants took such pride in their work. I wish that all restaurants who said they were short-staffed functioned like this. For a full dining room of this size to have five or so wait staff in the room and God knows how many in the back, this was an all around FANTASTIC experience. I would definitely go back, and when I do, I will certainly ask for Brenda again. She was great. Ask her about dishwashing when the chain broke when she was just starting to work in restaurants as a youth. What a great time we had. Thanks

Let's start with the positives: The service was excellent, I liked the garlic butter, the salad dressing was decent, the meatballs were good, and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, the food was subpar. The rolls were warm when brought to the table, but magically transformed into hockey pucks as they cooled. The salad wasn't fresh; the lettuce was soggy and had started to turn brown. I suspect that it had been pre-mixed and was sitting in a large bowl in the kitchen prior to being served. I ordered the Italian Combo #1. The sauce didn't have much flavor. The pasta was definitely not homemade and there was a significant amount of water on my plate from it. I agree with other reviews that said something was off about the lasagna. I'm not sure how to describe it, other than to say it was dense and salty. The chicken parm was flavorless and hard around the edges. The restaurant was limited on its soda products and charged $2.00 for a can of Coke. The food wasn't worth the 50 minute drive to the restaurant.
