I purchased two dresses; one I was sure about, the other I was not. I attempted to return the dress the owner profusely recommended. It felt at the time that the purchase was to please the owner more than myself. The next morning, less than 24 hours after the initial purchase, I attempt to return the dress and the owner said, "I can't believe you would ask to return this."
I was a new customer and was not told the store policy at the time of purchase. Essentially, I was punished for shopping there. I faced a hardship because I did not look and read every single thing on her cluttered counter. I could understand refusing the return had the dress been worn, or if the return date was lengthy, but she refused to return my money because there was nothing else in the store worth purchasing.
The most challenging part was the owner's deplorable attitude. She only cared about how the purchase impacted her, not me. Had she returned this item, I would have been likely to patronize her business in the future, now, all I will do is avoid it and warn others to be 100% certain of their purchase.
