The best part about staying at Anna Wulf is the owner, Mitzi. She is delightful! We really enjoyed meeting Mitzi; she is very friendly. While I like Victorian decor, the place is a bit cluttered. The rooms (Mister and Mistress) are not user friendly if you want to use your laptop. The WiFi is good but there were minimal 3 prong outlets and no desk or desk chair. This issue may not be important to everyone. We shared a bathroom with our friends who had the room next door. The bathroom is very tiny and doesn't have anywhere to put your clothes or other articles. Although it is not a big issue, no shampoo, body wash or hair dryer are available. These things were important to us but may not have any impact on some guests.|||| A lovely full breakfast was provided and we enjoyed chatting with Mitzi during breakfast. ||||I don't think there are a lot of B&B options in Crescent City so this may be a good choice.

We stayed one night at this B&B on our way from Seattle to LA. Located in an old house with character. We were in the Mistress room on the second floor. It's decoration is funny, the room is of good size and the bed was comfortable. There is a small bathroom shared with the other room, but we were the only guests on the floor. The hostess was friendly and accommodating. I would have given it a 5 star but the breakfast was just good and way too salty. You may want to tell them to put less salt into it beforehand. If you are to stay in Crescent City I will recommend this place.

We stayed in Crescent City on a trip up the Oregon coast. We stayed at many Bed and Breakfasts along the way and this was the first stop on our trip. We stayed in the Mistress Room and the room was nice, but perhaps a little overdone on the Victorian theme. The bath room was tiny and across the hall. Based on what we saw of Crescent City this may be among the best choices in town, but compared to other Bed and Breakfasts we stayed on our trip, we couldn't give it a higher relative rating.

B&B choices are limited in this town of motels, but Mitzi's Anna Wulf House is a great place to stay. There's not much memorable about the residential neighborhood where it is located. The weather was miserable and raining hard while we were there, so that could be why the entire town looked a bit drab. The Anna Wulf House, on the other hand, is a real gem.||||The old house is packed with amazing old antiques and photos. It has a large parlor and big kitchen where a nice breakfast is made. We had salmon quiche, which was excellent. We would not hesitate to stay there again on future trips to Redwood Country.

In a town that has a really serious lack of elegance, Anna Wulf House is a gem. Mitzi who operates the B&B is delightful. The decor is very interesting (some rooms more than others). We stayed in the first floor suite and having access to the first floor of the house was wonderful. The breakfasts were delicious and Mitzi's company was awesome. Don't miss this place. Everything about it is wonderful.

I'm afraid I have to disagree with most reviews of Anna Wulf house, except for one thing...the innkeeper, Mitzi is an engaging, accommodating, warm, friendly woman who I'd enjoy spending more time with. But...the inn...not so much. It's overdone, under maintained and not all that comfortable. There is just too much 'stuff' everywhere - no place in the bathroom to set anything while using the facility. The bedrooms are poorly lighted, dark and smell dusty, even the hallways are crowded with dusty trinkets that are meant to portray a Victorian theme but really just make it cluttered. After driving thru the city I might agree this is the best place in Crescent City to stay and I have no doubt you'll enjoy the innkeeper.

This is a carefully maintained old home in Crescent City. It is conveniently located in a not too busy neighborhood.||||The room was very comfortable, and cleverly decorated. The hosts were great, and a good breakfast.||||If stairs are a problem, mention it during reservations. We stayed in an upstairs room, and the stairs were no problem.||||Don't hesitate to stay here.

Mitzi was a very nice host and very informative. She met us and we chatted for some time before settling in. Her breakfast was mostly home made, with a prepared egg strata from a local vendor. Crescent City has been hard hit by the recession and is struggling to attract visitors, but it's a nice place to stop by when passing through.

Yelp
Overdue post! Stayed there in March of 2010. Ok, I'm L.A. as it gets, and I can't tell you how scared I was standing outside the Bed and Breakfast. My boyfriend and I stayed at Anna Wulf's because we wanted to hike in the redwood forest. I wasn't sure what to expect, how the rooms were going to be like, if the food was going to be good, etc., But to my surprise, it was an amazing experience!! The food is AMAZING!! My favourite was the quiche and the flourless cookies... yummy!! My boyfriend LOVED their bacon and they even made him extra strong drip coffee (which is a must to try if you're a coffee lover). Paula is the best. She is perhaps one of the sweetest people I know and I always wanted to hug her. She's so friendly and I loved eating and listening to her contagious laugh. She suggested a lot of places for us to visit and recommended an amazing trail (boyscout trail) that led to a beautiful waterfall. We were also blessed to meet Mitzi, who is just a loveable person! I basically can't tell you how much I loved this place. The location is great as well! Very close to a lot of things and we ended up going to Oregon for a day. Lastly, the HOUSE... we stayed in the Mayor's room which has a window overlooking the streets so it was quite lovely. The mistress room is quite exciting-- there are naked pictures on the wall so it does create the raunchy feeling, but it's far from tasteless. Loved it and I can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Mitzi, Julia and Tina provided a positively memorable stay in Crescent City. Named after an influential local citizen, Anna Wulf Bed and Breakfast is located in an charming, purple Victorian House and unique to the area because it was one of the few that survived the tsunami of 1964. Our group stayed in the three (3) rooms upstairs. Two (2) of the rooms share a bathroom in the hallway while the honeymoon suite had it's own bathroom. Breakfast was hot, delicious and filling and the hosts were charming. They provided us with oatmeal raisin cookies for our day trip through the National Redwood Forest, only about a 10 to 15 minute drive away. The bed and breakfast is relatively close to Battery Point Lighthouse and much photographed St. George Lighthouse. If you forgot anything at home, Rite-Aid and Walgreen's are less than four (4) blocks away. Restaurants close early in the small town of Crescent City, so call and plan ahead.

Yelp
This Bed and Breakfast was the highlight of our trip up the coast. We stayed in the Mistress room and were delighted! The entire house is amazing, and I'm so glad I accepted Paula's recommendation to stay in the Mistress room! Great bed! Naughty decor, but just enough naughty to be fun. Paula and Tina were so gracious and helpful! The other reviews here were helpful to me when I booked the stay at the AWH, and they were spot on. The breakfasts are incredible and it was doubly enjoyable to get to know Paula. We stayed two nights to give us time to explore the local redwoods and it was a great decision! After a day of hiking, it was perfect to return to the house and relax. Thank you Paula, we're telling all our friends about your hospitality!

Yelp
Friendly, comfortable, delicious! Upstairs rooms are spacious, and the whole house is lovely. Beautiful B&B.

Yelp
Excellent B&B. Not a lot to choose from in Crescent City, but this place was great. Stay here! We stayed in the Oasis Room and it was very comfy. Totally awesome breakfast. We were there in mid-November and not many restaurants were open for dinner. Decoration of rooms and common areas was very interesting. Innkeeper could not be more friendly.

Yelp
Anh. Mitzi was a wonderful hostess, and we had some great company in the other couple staying the night, but the house needs some serious attention and the fine line between "ambiance" and "clutter" seems to have been lost. Breakfast tasted like it was reheated in the microwave. We probably wouldn't go back, but as one of the cheaper B&B's on our 9-day trip, it was only slightly less than we expected.
