An early pre-concert dinner on a Tuesday evening. The food was that good I’m still thinking about it! Steak tartare with chips, Such a nice way to deliver the tartare with the chips (and I mean regular potato chips) as the vehicle for eating the steak tatare has delicious pickles sprinkled through for bite and flavour. Moussaka. The moussaka was full of flavour and let’s just say the bowl may have been scraped clean by the end. The best potato side dish that over delivered. Visually looked like wedges, so I was a little surprised my dinner partner ordered them, but I should have known! Divine and the sauce was delicious. And a moment for the bowl of lettuce cups drizzled in olive oil and seasoned. Again I wondered why until I stared to pair it with moussaka and it made perfect sense. Like the chips with the tartare, the lettuce cups provided texture and freshness to the creaminess of the moussaka’s incredible sauces. Didn’t expect to love the food this much - it was a casual dinner that turned into something much more. Reasonably priced. The bill reflected the wines my daughter had and a grapefruit soda for me. Would love to see some non-alcoholic wine options in restaurants. You can get bubbles and spritz’s and whole ranges of 0% wines - that would have 100% made my night! Not a criticism of Edie’s -it’s typical of nearly every restaurant but would be great to see it become a regular thing everywhere! Go for a leisurely time - it is small and on this night had one staff member doing everything, food and drinks and service so it’s not always going to be snappy when that’s the case. She was a star. And everything was worth it!

Menu is well thought out but simple, great coffee and friendly staff. Bolognaise on toast is the best I've had in town. Worth a visit for sure!

Accidentally stumbled into Edie’s and somehow scored a free coffee 😂 Cozy vibes, super friendly staff, and a warm welcome that made it feel like I meant to be there all along. A little Ponsonby gem I’d happily ‘accidentally’ visit again.

Probably wouldn't come back we ordered the set menu for $55 each for my friend's dinner. Sadly, the menu under performed with the service taking over two and a half hours. The Lasagna is literally cheap sheets with cheese and a bit of mince, the salad is a bagged lettuce, the vege /vegan option was pasta with clearly a canned tomatoes and under cooked wedges. A nice space but food isn't worth it and too wait that long for food that would literally take 15-20 mins to cook. Wouldn't recommended

Delicious breakfast (avo and goat cheese toast, croq monsieur) made all the more delightful by the exceptional sourdough. A basque cheesecake tweaked to perfection. Impeccable service. Early birds caught the worm!

Local haven for fantastic food, friendly service and sneaky boozy lunches. The sandwiches are too beautiful to call 'sandwiches'... fresh baguettes a parisian wouldn't push aside and the fillings are super inventive yet balance perfectly. Excellent mix of healthy and indulgent. The vibe is secluded and sensual. Knowledgable staff, relaxed class and plenty of options. It's small inside so tables can become cramped a little quickly but it's to-be-expected boutique. Highly recommend a visit... almost looking forward to going back work to pop in over lunchtime.

Great wine bar - cool space and good vibe. They’ve recently started doing breakfast which is simple but great. A few toast options and almond croissants, with good coffee.
