I recently visited this restaurant for dine-in. We ordered a lot of food expecting an enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, most dishes didn’t meet our expectations. • Saag Paneer: This was the biggest letdown—absolutely no taste of saag. I would not recommend it, especially for anyone who knows authentic Punjabi food. • Other Curries: We ordered two more vegetarian curries (including Methi Paneer), but they tasted almost the same. One even looked like Paneer Butter Masala. Very little variety in flavour. • Naan Bread: The regular naan was far too thick and heavy—not enjoyable. • Samosa Chaat & Garlic Naan: These were the only two items we actually liked. On top of that, we were charged an extra surcharge for reasons that weren’t clearly explained. The staff was polite and respectful, which we appreciated. But at the end of the day, we came for good food—and that part was disappointing.

Absolutely beautiful restaurant and staff. We live in Brisbane and make a special trip every time we are in Tasmania to come and visit, support and eat with these lovely hosts. Very hard to find genuine food in Australia and this is absolutely where you’ll find it. I’m amazed there are negative reviews, don’t listen to that nonsense. Incense burning, bhajans playing…happy days. Sai ram!

Annapurna is an average restaurant; the decor is outdated with dim lights. The staff is really nice and friendly, they are happy to chat with you. The vibe of the area is vibrant from Thursday -Saturday afternoon (that’s when you should go). The parking is available on road. They offer papadum just after you are seated, menus are already placed on the table. We were also served complimentary rice ( not sure how often they do it)- I really appreciate the gesture. 1. Dal Makhani: NOT RECOMMENDED- It was a mixture of different dal (pulses), the proportion od yellow dal was more than any other which completely spoiled the taste. 2. Butter Panner Lababdar: RECOMMENDED- Though its not the original paneer lababdar with capsicum and good amount of onion, It tastes more like shahi paneer with big paneer pieces. 3. Paneer Tikka Masala: NOT RECOMMENDED- The paneer cubes are cut in square big pieces, nicely roasted, there were very few vegetable (found 2 pieces of onion and capsicum each) served with half a lemon. The mint chutney was really good. @management: this item can be popular if it can include more vegetables in it. 4. Chilli Cheese Naan: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED- love this item, fully loaded with cheese and adequate amount of red chilli powder sprinkled over it. I was expecting it to a bit spice, but this one was perfect. 5. Garlic Naan: RECOMMENDED- The bread was nicely good with perfect amount of garlic and butter on it.

Veg pulao was the worst, 60-70% of the box was filled with half cooked unsalted cauliflower & the rice was dipped in oil Pulao completely bland. Such a waste of time & money. Someone here will definitely need cooking lessons.

Yelp
Extremely bad service, waiters seem too worked up and lack basic professionalism. Seriously question the hygiene of the waiter too..

Yelp
Reasonably priced, good range of choice, quality food. The atmosphere is cosy if you eat in. Takeaway option also available, and you shouldn't have to wait too long. Highly recommend the lamb cutlets!
