Anna's Pastry Shop

It is no longer Ana’s (evidently only ever had one “n”). It is now “Suspiro Bakery” as of last year. The young man at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Had some delicious guava cookies and a couple of beef pastries/pies, which were Venezuelan (see pics).

This is such a great little bakery tucked just around the corner off Broadway. The sign actually reads ANA not Anna but I'll let it slide Google Places! They have a unique selection of specialty breads and my favorite cinnamon raisin arugula pastry (made a bit larger here than anywhere else around). It's a tiny shop that feels cramped when anymore than 3 people come in though. I love stopping in here on a Sunday for a late afternoon snack on my way back from the subway. I'm glad not too many people know about it because I consider it my own secret bakery in The Hts.

Best bakery i've been to in the neighborhood. I highly recommend the ham and cheese rellenos my best friend and i have been having them for about 12 years. Suggest you go early they tend to run out of stuff.

The food I bought wasn't fresh and the staff wasn't overly polite. It's a mom and pop shop.

The Coffee is great! The bakery....... well , different story.
