Anne Mary's Place is a Thrift Store with a Mission. What a find! I was looking for a white plate because I broke my only small white microwaveable plate recently. I found exactly what I wanted and got a spare. Two plates for $2! The nice employee wrapped them in newspaper and put them in a bag too. When I asked for their business card I was also given a card with their mission statement. They are definitely a business I will support. I saw a lot of interesting items. Lots of lamps and some nice clothes too. I'm definitely going back to browse in the future. I'm recommending you stop in if you're nearby. I had a great experience shopping here.

I tried to donate here but walked right out. The rates of covid in East Harlem are always much higher than in other areas of Manhattan. This store is supposed to be supporting the community--and yet, many customers and staff were unmasked, even while indoor masking was mandated. FYI, the pope also supports vaccines and masking!
