Annesley House

We stayed in the two bedroom housekeeper’s cottage. Cosy and quaint and very comfortable. Centrally located, walk to shops and points of interest. And surprisingly quiet. We’d stay again.

We stayed at Annesley House as guests of a wedding and wow, what a great wedding venue. So handy to have the rooms / location in one place so especially having young kids. We were able to be in the garden while bub had a nap and the room was secure. The rooms were beautifully furnished, beds comfortable and everything was very well maintained & cleaned. Would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

We stayed at Annesley House while passing through on a road trip and loved it so much we stayed a second night! The Grande room was gorgeous and so luxurious! Nicole and Belinda were both so kind and helpful in accomodating our stay — thank you so much!

A beautiful property. Located a short walk from town/foreshore with off-street parking available. We were in Rosalie's Retreat and loved it. Tastefully furnished, spacious warm, light. It is perfect for a short stay, or even a longer one as a base for exploring the region. Highly recommend!

A last minute booking and we loved it. Clean comfortable and quiet. We stayed in the Captains Room on the first story. A view of the sea from our kitchen, a bedroom window I could open, with a view, lovely bathroom soaps with Netflix and Disney available. Close to town and activities. No dishwasher but that's not an issue for us. Nicole was lovely to deal with. Would stay again if in the area.

We had our wedding in the garden at annesley house and it was beautiful. The building is so impressive we took our wedding photos right there. We had the ceremony under the tree, reception in the back garden and pizza truck in the open parking / driveway. What makes this the perfect venue is we hired all 7 apartments for family and friends to stay with us on location. We will be back to stay at annesley again soon!

Magnificent self contained accommodation. Stunning decor throughout . Lovely garden. Excellent location. Great host. Beautifully restored historic building in lovely Portland. A very reasonable price so spoil yourself - we certainly will again. The gold standard for others to aspire to .

Having travelled to Portland many times I have stayed in a variety of accommodation over the years. This time I was travelling solo and so wanted something in the centre of town close to everything. I also wanted to spoil myself with something more luxurious. Annesley House did not disappoint. The decor and furnishings were absolutely beautiful. The room had everything I needed with a kitchenette and a modern bathroom, large, king-size bed and views of the church across the road. I will definitely be back to stay. Although breakfast is not provided, there are ample cafes close by that serve delicious food.

Not so much a b&b as a straight up set of serviced apartments in a restored 19th C mansion. The room are, very comfortable, unique and full of charm. Kind of makes you want to spend the day inside with a book rather than getting back out onto the road. The management had no problems with our late arrival (around 11:30pm) and provided good instructions on how to pick up keys and settle in. Very much recommended.
