Annesley House

This is a wonderful place to stay in a beautifully restored Victorian mansion. The rooms are immaculate with antique furniture and very large. The bed was comfortable and even though it is in the heart of Portland I found it very quiet. The host was very friendly and the location is ideal - just a short work to cafes and shops. This was truly a unique holiday experience and I intend to return

Annesley House is a beautifully restored Victorian mansion right in the heart of Portland. The rooms are large, immaculate and furnished with antique furniture. My stay there was a truly unique experience and even though it is in the heart of Portland it was very quiet. The location is so convenient as I was able to walk to cafes and shops. I look forward to returning in the near future.

We stayed in the Housekeepers Cottage. Nicole was there when we arrived and was very friendly and showed us the door lock. The place was gorgeous, so stylish and comfortable with access to its own little rose garden. Great shower, comfy beds and good coffee machine.

Had a quick getaway with my husband and OMG, What an absolute gem of a place!!! We booked The Grande ground floor apartment and I can say the pictures or description does not justice - last time we remember such luxury, was in Fairmont St. Andrews in Scotland (that’s the fireplace next to the bed that did it!). These guys have thought of every small detail, it was just immaculate and made us stop emotionally to enjoy life for a moment. Communication professional but humble, really good location to have a wonder in town - plenty parking too! Thank you and for sure we will return!

Stunning accommodation. We stayed in Wadmore Apartment on first floor and it was very comfortable and well set up. Really enjoyed our stay and slept so well.

We (3) stayed in Dr Brewer‘s apartment and we loved it. It had a sense of history, beautifully furnished, comfortable, gorgeous artwork, warm (in August), lovely personal touches with a well equipped kitchen. I want to come again

Booked the Baytree apartment for a weekend stay. Room was spacious and very clean, with a sunroom attached which gave a nice view of the garden. Very easy access to the accommodation. Will stay again in the future.

Not so much a b&b as a straight up set of serviced apartments in a restored 19th C mansion. The room are, very comfortable, unique and full of charm. Kind of makes you want to spend the day inside with a book rather than getting back out onto the road. The management had no problems with our late arrival (around 11:30pm) and provided good instructions on how to pick up keys and settle in. Very much recommended.
