Amazing selection of drinks, whether you like beer, cocktails, ciders, non-alcoholic… something for everyone. We were a large group, and even so the service was incredible. They were fast with drinks, accurate and gave great suggestions. The food is through a third party vendor, so they don’t take orders at the table (you go up and order). No biggy, but good to know when you get there they don’t serve food TO the table. They had burgers and fries-type food, actually next-level good (the loaded fries, especially). The patio was really cosy (and dog friendly <3), lots of seating options throughout the establishment. Will definitely be going again in big groups and small.

Before the new semester starts, I went to check out a craft beer spot with some friends. Annex's collaboration with Phil & Sebastian on a coffee stout totally won me over—the coffee aroma was rich, and the aftertaste lingered beautifully! The space was super spacious, and the bartender there was really friendly. Had some great drinks, good conversations, and now I’m in a good mindset to take on the second semester!

Went on a Thursday evening. Had a really nice bitter and good cheeseburger. A bit noisy for my taste. Mixed crowd of various ages.

Went here for a weekend lunch with a small group. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here. When you go in, you'll get table service for your beverages and go up to the food window to order and pay for your meal separately. Burgers and fries are the main staple of the food menu. There are lots of different kinds of beers to try, too. This place wasn't super busy on a Saturday, but there were still a good number of people there. One thing to note is that seating is mostly at long tables with benches.

One of our favourite draft beer place . The menu include regular and seasonal flavours. They offer tasting if you are not sure about which one will go home with you. If you dine in, tasting menu is available, allowing you have 4 choices from their existing menu. Beside some safe choices like Golden and Pale Ale, there are some random taste like coffee stout and cranberry sour turns out to be surprisingly good! I suggest finish all draft beer ASAP, they taste even better with fresh baked pizza, cheese sticks and salami platters This place is a good find after Anchor’s beer quality fall off the cliff couple years ago. Local breweries always bring more aspects than a large manufacturer.

Great place! It's pretty cool that they have a burger joint attached to them! Would recommend it to anyone!

Google
This place is awesome. Awesome atmosphere. Loved the bench seating. Shared with a couple we didn't know and had a good time getting to know one another. The beer was awesome, especially their one-offs and seasonals. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. This place has a great community feel and many people were popping in and out on their bike to get growler fills. Captures the Alberta craft beer spirit. Just great!

Yelp
My kid and I were headed for a concert in the city when my gps took me on a scenic tour to get to my LRT station and I ended up passing this joint while my kid was searching for places to go for dinner. We whipped in after seeing a family with a toddler go in and realizing that it was a family friendly place. We were greeted at the door by a nice young hostess who directed us to either a table or a spot at the bar. The place has murals and art adorning the walls and was very trendy. The tables ranged from a couple loungers with a coffee table between to a booth for 8. We didn't order the beer as I had to drive but we had the in house sodas and had to take some home. I did grab a couple of the beer to try soon but just haven't had occasion since yesterday. Will definitely have to stop in and get some of the soda for stocking stuffers and maybe some so the cozy looking swag they had on display too.

Yelp
Great vibes in here in the evening. The drink selection is superb. Bonus: the burger joint, Empire, inside has a fantastic selection of gluten free items.

Yelp
A group of us came here around 8:30 pm and it was packed. We were seated in 10 minutes. I tried the spicy chicken burger with kimchi and Gochujang bbq sauce. It wasn't that spicy and Im not huge into hot spices, so it was good for me. You can ask for hot sauce, if you like it hotter. The beer I had was the golden ale with citrus flavour. 4/5

Yelp
Boozy sodas and a good selection of beer. Nice patio and there is a separate place to order food. Service was friendly.

Yelp
Brewery offering crafted sodas (pineapple ginger is delicious), beer on tap, flights of beers, finger food such as burgers, hot dogs & fries. Great place to hang out in groups, staff are cheerful with a helpful laidback attitude and the vibe is perfect. Food was good (a lil on the salty side, but pairs well with beer) and their hot dog bun was soft. Wished they offered several more styles of specialty style hotdogs, pizza and fried finger food option as it was limited, but I enjoyed this brewery.

Yelp
Empire Burger with Cheese ($12.49); Classic Crunch Chicken ($13); Dirty Fries ($8); Regular Fries ($4); Good Authority Golden Ale (7oz, $3.50; 16oz, $6.50); and Florida Weise ($7, 14 oz). This is a beautiful burger! I could taste the quality of the beef, which was so juicy and flavourful. I loved the contrast between the warm, oozy creaminess from the cheese and sauces to the cool, crunchy lettuce. The buns are ideal - puffy and sweet and not too bready, so it becomes one with the patty and cheese. The fries are thin and crispy, with the right amount of salt. The dirty fries remind me of a hot dog, as it's loaded with tasty bits of hot dog, mustard, relish and Empire burger sauce. I prefer the regular fries because done right, nothing is better than the simplicity of perfectly cooked and salted fries.

Yelp
Annex Brewery has a rockin' patio. We arrived at 4PM on a Friday and had to wait for about 20 minutes for a table, but it was so worth it. The staff were efficient and knowledgeable and the drinks were glorious. Round #1 was a flight including: "Dimed Out": Triple IPA, it was a whole 10% "Liminal Space" Coffee Stout "Non-Compliant": Cranberry Blood Orange Sour "Sea Legs": Orange and Cherry Pale Ale (colab with Ship & Anchor) Round #2 was a Rootbeer Soda (made in house, add vanilla vodka). Too easy drinking if you ask me. Dangerous! Luckily they also serve Lil' Empire Burgers to soak up the bevvies. I can't wait to get back to Annex for another patio hang.

Yelp
I recently tried the Rootbeer that the Anex Ale Project brews locally while I was at Buttermilk Fine Waffles. Another lovely business that supports other local facility's such as Village Ice Cream and the Annex Ale Project. The root beer was delicious and not as unhealthy as day perhaps getting a rootbeer from A&W. it even tasted cleaner. The first ingredient was water followed by water. I absolutely loved it. Please continue to make delicious products like this :)

Yelp
Great beer selection! The food menu could expand to be more diverse. I'm personally not a fan of having a beer and seeing children run around...but I understand that sometimes you have to bring them. The store has great merchandise selections. The service was ok....the atmosphere was great!

Yelp
Tucked away just off 42nd Ave and MacLeod, this little gem is a great place to pick up your growler fills! Beers here are so good! They have a couple of core beers and then tonnes of changing taps! I'm a big fan of their IPAs! Keep in mind that you don't really come here for food... they have salty cheese strings and chips to snack on but I've been with a big group and brought my own food in before... might want to check that before doing it though! Also, their non-alcoholic root beer and ginger beer are fabulous and addictive! Highly recommended for craft beer lovers!

Yelp
This was a pleasant experience. We had flights of beer. My favorite was the Berliner ginger sour beer - very tasty. We also had some string cheese, which complimented the beer but was a bit salty. The atmosphere feels industrial and open. The long tables are good for socializing, and they also have a nice selection of memorabilia to purchase - drinks, glasses, t-shirts. Glad I could stop by in my visit to the city.

Yelp
So these guys are like, "let's brew some awesome beers but hol' up, let's also offer delicious salty cheese for the masses!" Thanks for stuffing my face with salty cheese and delicious beers, I am now chubby, full of beer and cheese but I am a happy, chubby, man full of beer and cheese. I wanna stroke your right cheek slowly on the side of a hill on a sunny Calgary afternoon saying, "never change, you beautiful bastard." Never ever stop making that cheese and your amazing selection of beers! Love John

Yelp
Beautiful taproom in the same vicinity of Banded Peak brewery - fun to do a double feature. There are lots of good beers on tap - the oat ale is my favourite, and I really enjoyed the salty stringy cheese.

Yelp
Fantastic ales, in a friendly and bright tap room. just a bar and a few long tables for sharing, but hey, grab a beer and make a friend! We tried all 4 available taps, all were very enjoyable and really different! I usually don't like sours, (ok i actually kind of hate them, and they are annoyingly popular these days!) but the one on offer at Annex was actually pretty good! That might not seem like a glowing review, but it's a great intro beer for sours if you haven't tried them or haven't liked them in the past. Also really enjoyed the xpa and the bitter. Secret- try the root beer! I don't drink pop and usually avoid sugar, but I can say it is worth it to try the root beer! Very complex and spicy, not overly sweet. Just fantastic! Grab one for the kids and sneak a sip, or just live your damn life and drink one yourself between all the great ales!

Yelp
Good craft brewery. A little hectic when it comes to ordering. Friendly staff. Empire Provisions food excellent. Burger top notch. Food is a little spendy, however. $8 for 'dirty fries'? Tiny portion. Granted they did slap some mayo, mustard & relish on top. $7 for a hot dog? They did slice it down the centre and toast the bun thus making it fancy. Beer and food solid. Only drawback is the abundance of hipsters. Girl in jumpsuit. Dude is lederhosen. You know what I mean.

Yelp
Came recommended. Horrible mistake. Waited 30 mins to get in. Virtually no menu but food - burgers and hot dogs - delicious. Service was nearly hostile and made it an experience to never repeat. Nope

Yelp
This place is awesome, great beers, nice vibe, original music, and I love the string cheese! They make an awesome Root Beer too, and you can take Growlers home too! Get a Growler of beer for yourself and a growler of Root Beer for your kids!!!

Yelp
Probably one of my most favourite places on earth! Every beer is incredible! Then they go ahead and add a burger joint and a deck! Get out here!!! Love it

Yelp
Beer good! Server was good with recommendations but the blackboard...you cannot read, it is too light. The West Coast IPA and Pale ale great! Good vibe! The wooden tables have cache and community on them. Small but fun.
