Super cute diner in Butte. Great pancakes. My husband likes the corned beef hash. Pleasant serving staff.

A quintessential small town type diner “greasy spoon” in a great way. Hearty portions of typical diner breakfasts. Plus eggs Benedict with more meat than ever had before on that dish. If you like pancakes and the taste of birthday cake or waffles get their “Sweet Cream cakes” in place of the regular pancakes. Corned beef hash was good. Didn’t care for the gravy for Biscuits and Gravy as it had little flavor as though they used water instead of milk and bland. Prices are cheap and portions are huge so it’s a great deal. Good strong coffee too. Friendly staff and memorabilia on wall makes it quirky. Plan ahead: Closed Mondays and Tuesdays and only cash accepted

Best breakfast! Home style food and lots of it, very high quality! The staff are very professional! This place is great with all the crazy Coca Cola stuff all over the walls. Giant cups of coffee and huge portions. I had the pancakes and my boyfriend had the eggs Benedict and it was all excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive. Great job!

Absolutely adore this place, The energy of it made me feel very close to my Grandma and Grandpa again. They collected the same kind of stuff, You could just feel the history inside of the building as well. The locals are always so nice to us every time we are here, which is pretty often. The food was absolutely amazing in the prices are so good. Hands down one of the best breakfast restaurants in the area in my opinion.

Wonderful little Cafe for breakfast! Everything was cooked well and just as I asked. The blueberry syrup was particularly good on pancakes. The eggs were just right. The bacon very flavorful. The waitress was very prompt and polite enough. Not overly friendly but at 7:30 in the morning I can say I appreciated a little less attention as I wasn't quite ready to be awake. She was attentive just enough to keep my drink filled, hot, and the food was quick to come out as well. My only negative mention for this place is that they do not accept debit or credit cards. Luckily I did have cash and boy are they affordable! Less than ten dollars for the amount of food I got and the quality was really great. Cheaper than fast food and far far better quality. I'm not from butte so this was an unusual day for me and I would definitely recommend them to anyone in butte or passing through looking for a great meal.

Two marks of a good breakfast diner. You walk in and it’s got a bunch of “old timers” eating and chatting away. And the second is, how good is their chicken fried steak. This place does not disappoint. Massive portions and great prices. Really good food. My wife loved the sweet cream pancakes. Good bacon and good chicken fried steak. Among the best places for breakfast in the state. Only downside is I could smell kitty litter when I walked in, and got a whiff or two before my food came out.

The atmosphere is not my vibe but they nailed it for whoever's vibe that is. Not fancy, but dang quick. Large selection of homemade preserves on the table too. Family owned and run for 20 years, support them. Thought I was getting a pork chop, my issue not there's. Got the bacon seasoned, did not disappoint. Hash browns were grilled and nicely crispy.

Atmosphere: this place is kind of like a restaurant in the middle of an antique shop. There is no shortage of things to look at. It's pretty neat! Definitely a small town diner. Service: everyone was friends. The server was there when we needed her. The food came out slow, but with an apology from the cook, which essentially great. We were a larger party and walked in right as they opened. So, we understood. Food: the food was okay. I got the 2 hot cakes, 2 bacon, and 2 eggs. The bacon was crispy and delicious, the eggs were cooked great, but I didn't love the pancakes. As you can see they were pretty light in color and the taste was just off. Almost like they were cooked on a dirty grill or a grill that wasn't fully hot before the batter was poured on, so it really just sucked up a bunch of oil or something. All-in-all it was a good breakfast and quite cheap. I don't know if I am in a huge hurry to visit again, but I also wouldn't be opposed.

Everything was wonderful. That's hard to find someone that does home cooking anymore. Retro atmosphere service was great and the food was excellent

A MUST stop when In Butte. This is not only a GREAT place to eat , staff is amazing and pricing even better. I got the "senior size" ugh hurts to admit that but it was enough. The Ham was soooooo good. Like something your grandmother had cooked all day waiting for you to get to her house . The French toast was perfectly cooked - Just crispy enough and with the fresh blueberries needed nothing else !(no syrup required) Decor is straight up 1950s diner and all think Coke . Not a bougie place so if that's what you want - keep Looking - this is a good ole mom and pop great food cafe. Add it to the love list

Traveling from Livingston back to Portland, we stopped for breakfast. Super friendly greeting. The service was friendly, prompt and helpful. The food was very good. Small containers of jam on the table were a nice touch. The biscuit I had was tender and flaky, so good with the blackberry jam. Prices are the best we've seen in a long time. And coffee was included. What a great find!

I came into Butte Montana looking for something local that wasn't some chain restaurant, Annie's restaurant had good reviews and when I seen the building I had to check it out, look like something right out of the 1930s, when I entered I loved the decor and the atmosphere, the waitress was the owner's daughter and she had quite the wonderful personality, the food was quick and well presented and extremely tasty, I had the works omelette with dark rye toast that went well with the homemade jam on the table, I ordered coffee that they didn't charge me for, I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant it had beautiful old style carpeting and a friendly crowd of people inside.

Nice little place with very interesting decor. Fast, friendly service and the food arrived hot and tasted very good. This is a cash only business but they do have an ATM inside.

This interesting place was a lucky find in Butte. Great decor all around inside. Very good service and very friendly staff. We had the daily special with two eggs, blueberry French toast and choice of sausage links or ham. I got an extra side of ham, a generous amount that was lean. Everything was delicious and prices were reasonable. A thoroughly good breakfast and I would definitely go back.

Loved this cafe. Great breakfast at good price. Best part was the excellent food service and ambiance. Waitress, Kell, was a vibrant personality and very good too! Ambiance was a tribute to Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola with the most memorabilia I've ever seen in one place. Downside quite dark inside.

This place rocks for breakfast. Food was fresh, hot, and the service was perfect. Go with the links, not the patties, they were a bit over cooked and dry.

Love this old school cafe. The waitstaff is great. Service was fast. I had the eggs Benedict special. Kids liked the regular pancakes there not the cakey ones.

Came in on a late Sunday morning and had to wait maybe 20 minutes to be seated, which isn't bad and we'll worth it. Food is well portioned and freshly made. I had an omelette and it wasn't greasy/ oily, it was delicious. The pancakes are nicely sized and tasted great (stole a bite from my sister ). My 10 month old son would say the toast with butter and jam is exquisite! Friendly staff and pretty cool looking atmosphere. It was fun seeing all the vintage decor. You would have to check it out for yourself!

Stopped for breakfast here for the first time and enjoyed the friendly staff right when we walked in. Our server was attentive and the food was a good ol' country style breakfast, large portions, fair prices. Cash only, but thoroughly worth the visit. I'd like to stop again on our next trip.

You will definitely not go hungry here and if you do, it's probably your own dang fault. This is a must try "hole in the wall" when visiting Butte, MT. It doesnt seat very many people and they dont even have enough menus for every table so if they are busy, be prepared to wait to look at a menu until one becomes available. That little quirk made me laugh. Service is very friendly and they definitely stay busy. I would recommend. Side note: they cook breakfast, lunch and dinner whenever you want it. So if you want a burger at 9 am...you got it.

Charming if slightly dingy restaurant jam packed with 1950's diner memorabilia. Our steak and eggs were perfectly cooked.

Damn good breakfast! We love hitting local spots when we travel and boy, did we find a gem! Busy little Café in an old building, full of local town folk and a sweet border collie! Bacon was beyond excellent, thick cut, cooked to perfection. Eggs served exactly as requested. Coffee, strong, hot & delicious! Did I mention that they have all you can eat biscuits and gravy AND pancakes?! I may never leave! Gotta shout out our server.... She was incredibly hardworking, friendly and attentive! Great sense of humor! All in all, a great place to eat! We will be back!

I can say that almost one year later to the date we ate breakfast last year here, before getting back on the road home, at Annie's. Always an easy decision. We had to wait a couple minutes to be seated as the locals filled the place up. As expected. I think we had the very same food and had the very same result. If we lived near Butte we'd be a local in here weekly.

Annie's is absolutely awesome. A true old school home town family operated business. The food is delicious and served with a friendly demeanor. The prices are right as well!

In Butte again and had to stop for lunch this time. It was as good as before so I may go back again today! Hubby got an omelette and I got a Chef Salad. I appreciated they had a half option of the salad; I wish more places did that. Nothing spectacular about the food, just good plain fare, but service was excellent. We got there about noon on Saturday and had to wait about 20 minutes. They were quick to get our names on the list and got a chair for hubby so he could sit while we waited. Joked with us and the others who were waiting with us. Our server was very friendly and kept my husband's coffee cup filled which is critical for him!! Once again, prices were reasonable which we also appreciated since we were traveling.

Closed, no phone number very odd ask locked up on Wed 9 am, went to hanging five instead, excellent

I went there for biscuits and gravy, the biscuits were hard and the gravy was a gross brown color and flavorless. Very disappointed!! I had heard good things about this place. Would never go back.

This is the diner everyone wants to eat at, but you better be there for breakfast or lunch: It's closed for dinner. They cut their own fries, bake pies, and make their own batter for onion rings.

The staff is out of this world. The food is excellent and if you need to make an adjustment, they are very friendly about it. I have never had a bad meal or a cup of coffee or anything in this place. It's my number one go to when I'm in Butte

Annie's had great reviews, so we decided to try it. We were very happy with our experience! We were treated wonderfully and the food was amazing. I had the taco omelet and my husband had ham & eggs. I wanted to order ham to take home because it was so flavorful! We loved the decor (lots of Coke & Pepsi memorabilia). We will be back!

Home cooked food at reasonable prices. The decor is more of a room with tables rather than a typical restaurant or cafe - but it works. Someone spent a lot of time filling the walls with all kinds of signs and plaques that makes a game of eye-spy a real (fun) challenge. With so many easy tech options for credit cards, the Cash only seemed to be an unnecessary hassle... add on the cc fee if that's the issue (everyone does). I had the bacon and eggs with an English muffin. Eggs were perfect, plenty of bacon and I definitely didn't leave hungry. I may be back.

Fast service. Friendly service. French toast was good. Coffee very light. My husband loves chicken fried steak but I would not recommend it from here. He had hit ache all day.

Front of house Staff was amazing and super friendly, but food was incredibly slow and lacked flavor and delivery. It took over 90 minutes from the time we ordered to receive our food which was chicken fried steak and eggs, and pancakes and eggs. Hash browns were oily and undercooked, eggs didn't have any seasoning (like even salt or pepper) and were super oily. Chicken fried steak did not taste good and the gravy that accompanied it was extremely chunky and clumpy. Fried mushrooms were excellent.

The waitress was obnoxious practically yelling at the tables, my coffee cup had a big chip in it right where you drink out of it on the rim, the salt and pepper shakers were both sticky and CASH ONLY! Really? Cash only? It's 2024 give me a break. They have an atm with $3 charge to use, what a ripoff. This place is a dump.

Quick and friendly service. Cute and quirky decor (Coca-Cola themed). Good food with ample portions. Juli and I shared chicken fried steak with eggs and hash browns.

This is an amazing spot to grab some food. I came in with a friend for breakfast and we both left stuffed. All of the food is high quality and cooked fresh. I had an omelette that was a make your own and it was sure stuffed with bacon. Hot cakes are delicious too. My friend had eggs bacon and home fries and was happy. They kept the coffee coming and the service was the best. You'll feel welcome and enjoy your meal. Just remember it's cash only! Though they do have an ATM on site just in case.

We were served by Annie herself! Breakfast was fantastic! I ordered hamburger steak with caramelized onions and mushrooms, topped with a slice of Swiss and served with a side of gravy, 2 eggs over medium, home fries, and a homemade biscuit. Wish it wasn't our only day in Butte just so I can come back here.

Finally got to exploring some local places in Butte. Annie's Cafe feels welcoming and authentic Americana. We were greeted on entering before finding our seats. The waitress was prompt and so friendly. They do serve soda in cans but have a great selection and give you two cans per ord3r which I greatly appreciated. My dad got an omelette he devoured and I got a club sandwich. The hashbrown were okay but everything else was great. The sandwich was stacked high with meat and cheese with fresh lettuce. The bacon was delicious and I grudgingly shared it with my dad who agreed it was excellent. They have thick cut fries that were fresh and best with some salt. They are only open 7 to 2 wed to sunday so you do need to plan accordingly but definitely worth a stop for lunch or breakfast. Great service and great food.

Don't judge a book by its cover... the outside of the building is a little worn but the inside is warm and inviting! Very friendly staff with delicious and generous sized breakfasts. My favorite breakfast place in Butte.

Wow! Annie's is a traditional family style breakfast house. Guided to this local favorite by Yelp reviews, we were all suitably impressed. Fellow fans of "chicken fried" steak will be intrigued by the report of Annie's "real deal". This hand breaded, tenderized cube steak, smothered in rich brown gravy is definitely something to write home about. The portion is so large they have to serve the home fried potatoes, eggs and homemade biscuits on a second plate! Chicken fried steak affectionadoes are often left disappointed by a menu's promise and the wait staff's uneasy assurances. But, the choice of sausage or brown gravy is a tell tale indicator you are in for the real McCoy. Gently nudged toward the brown gravy by the waitress, I can't imagine ordering differently in the future. If you are ever nostalgic for a good old fashioned breakfast, it's worth going miles out of your way to visit the good folks at Annie's!

Damn! The great quality and quantity of the food is only surpassed by the friendly and positive energy of the staff. They are the "center" of Butte! Great way to start the day.

Don't go if you are in a hurry the service is S-L-O-W. From getting our order to the food delivered to table. Evidently the cook doesn't know how to multi task. It took 90 minutes. That's ridiculous!

We love'd Annie's! Good sized portions, good prices and the ambience is homey and friendly! We met Annie the Owner and she was great! We definitely recommend Annie's Cafe to everyone! We love the Coke decor too! Just a reminder - cash only (they do have an ATM onsite). Also they are closed on Monday's and close at 2:00pm on Sat & Sun.

Found this gem on yelp. Passing through town and stopped for breakfast. We were met by Annie and her sister. Friendly, fun to talk to. Cool place with lots to look at on the walls. I got the chicken fried steak with brown gravy (Annie's recommendation). Hubby got corned beef. They were both delectable, huge portions. Definitely would stop again if in the area.

Got the feel that the owner died a few years ago and the rest of the staff didn't quite know how to cook. Atmosphere is rustic and quaint. No windows and cash only. Trish the server was super sweet and the service was great. The food however.....sigh. Wish I was able to leave a good review.... Don't order the clam chowder. We think the cook may be over the hill and loosing his/her taste buds. It was so salty my lips practically shriveled up and fell off. Salad came out of the crypt. It was browning on the edges and hadn't seen the sun probably as long as the kitchen that it escaped from. I gave this place two stars because it was still a great experience and good laughs. Lol People, if you stick to their deep fried stuff and maybe the toast you'll live. lol

Such a cute local place! Definitely what you're looking for when you want a small town eclectic vibe. The food was great, my husband got the chicken fried steak and said it was amazing, and I had the sausage/egg combo with a side of French toast and it was great! The service was fast and friendly. I wish I could give Annie's a hundred stars. I have never been more content than I have been hanging out at Annie's. This is not just a place with great food but the customer service is at the top of the list. I walked in and the first thing I was greeted with was the smile. This is not the usual "customer is king" smile. The waitress was genuinely happy to see people coming into her beloved workplace. She was like a mom welcoming her children home. When we sat down, it was in a very comfortable booth. The entire dining room is decorated in vintage coke and Pepsi memorabilia. These walls are full of fun. I enjoyed scanning it for my favorite ads. The entire place was kid friendly but I noticed that there were many older regulars so their is little disruptive behavior because it's hard to get bored when the food and drink are so quick. The menu seems simple and straightforward dinner fair. I ordered a hamburger and I didn't even get the chance to exhale before the food was in front of me. And oh what food! The hamburger was twice the size of the bun that took up half the plate. Beef from Montana (it tastes grass fed) that fills up your soul. I have to mention what was also included, my choice of fries. These things were huge. The thick cut steak fries were perfectly cooked, crispy perfection that made me finish mine and I would have tried to steal my friends but they were already gone. Delicious But the best part was when I got our bill. Less than the cost of 2 cups of coffee at Starbucks the cost of both of our meals floored me with delight. I have returned since that first time, too many times to count and it is always consistent. No matter the time or day. A great and rare quality in a local or franchise restaurant. I'd recommend any omelet they have. They also cook a steak perfectly. Never have had a problem with Medium Rare.

Like the sign says just good food!! Annie is a hard working gal and she has herself and family making a go of her place. Have not had a bad meal there and service is excellent. My favorite had got to be her tomato soup. Makes the 4B's look pretty sad in comparison.

Great customer service, staff was attentive and meal came out fast. Very tasty hearty pioneer breakfast. We enjoyed it!
