Annie's Cafe Lake Elsinore

First time at Annie’s and it was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious you can really taste the quality in every bite. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Our host was the sweetest and made us feel so welcome, like we were regulars. We had such a great time and left completely satisfied. It was our first visit, but it definitely won’t be our last. Highly recommend Annie’s to anyone looking for great food and a warm, friendly atmosphere!

I heard their Coffee cake was the best in southern California and came specifically for it. Totally worth it! Our server, Chanel, was awesome and friendly. We'll be back!!

Ate here on a Friday morning around 10:00 a.m. Shout-out to the cooks it was really an experience coming here for the first time and sitting at the bar. The cooks have it down! 🔥 My country fried steak breakfast was delicious. I am only giving two stars for the service because it seemed like the waitresses were very confused and not using their time efficiently.

This was 39. This has to be the worst eggs Benedict I have ever ordered. I'm so disappointed with how everything came out and I will NOT be returning. I don't understand why this place is always so busy Even the hash browns were the VERY VERY SAD I feel like we wasted time, gas, and money coming here.

We moved here a couple months ago we have enjoy their breakfasts and lunches here every weekend. The menu is pretty good for having different types of foods from the major ethnic food groups for being a English hub type of Cafe restaurant.. I think they went full on restaurant. But there's breakfast sausage links are to die for, they're chilaquiles are excellent, pretty much anything which shows their favorites. You're safe with those. I keep forgetting her name. I don't know why but she's the greatest waitress blondish hair up in the pony most of the time. She's just so kind and just she has her shit together. At least she acts like it. I feel comfortable when she's helping us out.

CUTE LOCAL CAFE w/ SPEEDY SERVICE! The staff were really nice, my drinks and food came out super fast. I sat at the counter and the younger guy who was serving drinks along with my waitress were very attentive and friendly. The cafe was very clean and had both indoor and outdoor seating. I wish I liked the food more, the produce omelette was pretty bland. It wasn't bad but it was very underwhelming. I took a look at the menu and everything looked appetizing. I hear their coffee cake is the staple of this cafe. The bread was tasty so I think the baked treats are just as good! I'll return because I really enjoyed the atmosphere here and hopefully I'll find a better menu item. The cafe serves breakfast throughout operation hours! Yay!

This place was absolutely delicious!! It's like the CLASIC diner food that is so comforting but NOT covered in grease. Eveyone was super friendly and you can tell they have regulars that were joking and laughing with the staff which made it such a fun and loving environment. I would definitely go back.

Annie's Café in Lake Elsinore is such a great spot! The service was friendly and attentive, and there's a decent amount of seating for both small groups and families. It's tucked in a shopping center, so parking was easy and convenient. We ordered the Funnel Cake French Toast and the Monte Cristo--both were delicious! Definitely indulgent (probably shouldn't have gone for two deep-fried entrées in one sitting, but no regrets). The flavors were rich, portions were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you're looking for a hearty breakfast or brunch with great service, Annie's Café is absolutely worth a visit.

One star for the fast service and one star for the friendly server. The food however was not good. I got the Even Wilder! breakfast plate that comes with Two Eggs, Two Bacon, Two sausage links, two pancakes, and hashbrowns or home fries. The eggs....well, I don't even know where to start but they didn't even look real when they arrived. They had a glossy look about them. They were tasteless as well. Was I served eggs made from a powder mix? The bacon was the only good thing that I ate. The sausage was absolutely not up to temp. It wasn't cold but it also wasn't warm. The pancakes were what I was looking forward to but was thrown off by being served a huge disappointment. These just tasted like the cheap Krusteaz mix. The butter wouldn't even melt so I just took that off. Definitely not warm. At last the hash browns, I asked for these well done and they were far from it. Also, room temperature. In the end I was sick for the rest of the day and was met with profusely sweating as well as frequent trips to the bathroom.

When you're craving breakfast/ brunch, you want to find a place that is known to be really good at everything. Great food, great service.... Simply GREAT! Annie's comes right to the forefront! As we walked in, the place was super busy. Every table was occupied. Jony stopped by and asked if we wanted to sit on the patio right away or wait for a table inside. It was pretty hot outside so we asked to wait a few minutes for a table inside. Just about 5 minutes later a table opened up and we were seated. Having been to the Temecula location, we pretty much knew what we wanted. Julie ordered Annie's Avocado Toast w poached eggs. I had coffee, Hawaiian French Toast with a side of eggs and bacon. Coffee was piping hot! Jony kept the cup filled and fresh. The food .... FOOD PORN! Almost looked too good to eat. Almost!. Karissa took good care of us, checked in periodically and answered all our questions. Great spot for great food and great service. Keep on Yelp'n!

It is a great local place to have breakfast. Only open for breakfast and lunch they offer a wide variety of breakfast and lunch items. Ingredients are always fresh and homemade. We use to come to this place often when are kids were young and decided to give it a try again. The place had not changed at all still cute very clean and spotless. That being said we got in before the rush and they were training and new server. We watch the place start filling up and noticed that everyone was getting their food way after we had placed our order this is my reason for my 4 rating. I will definitely try them again.

This is always a great treat to enjoy with my parents. Food is always fresh and made to order. Service is friendly and attentive. Ambiance is busy, family friendly and noisy.

We had the Mediterranean and the meat lover omelettes. Both were delicious. Their portions are generous and their staff is attentive. We look forward to our next visit.

Have yet to order a bad dish or have bad service. Coffee is delicious too! Chorizo could do with less salt but very tasty. Still waiting to have some of their coffee cake. Looks amazing !

Our first visit to Annie's and the restaurant was crowded with a short wait. We were seated by our waitress and greeted with a smile good morning. We ordered our food and it was served hot and fast with plenty of coffee. The restaurant ambience was busy with lots of conversations. I do recommend this restaurant for good food with friends and family.

Ok so here is my updated review of Annie's. The outdoor patio was great! Very easy and calm. They have ceiling fans and heaters depending on the weather. We brought our pooch so it is very dog friendly out there. Our food was fabulous today. Wife had breakfast quesadilla that was yummy and huge. I had the fend h toast breakfast. Lots of food and it was delicious. Well done Annie's! It goes to show you, don't always stick with first impressions, give it another try!! BTW our server Candice was money! Overall a fine experience at Annie's in Lake Elsinore.

I ordered the denver omelete through delivery this morning. It came out all chopped up and scrambled with no cheese. I don't know how they found it acceptable to serve this. Attached is a photo of the description stating it includes cheddar cheese.

Absolutely horrible service, I understand being busy although it took almost 45 minutes for us to get our food. I had to go up to the front twice, once to ask for water and once to ask for a box because our waiter was missing in action. I then had to ask a different waiter to take my card to pay for the meal because we had been waiting for another 20 minutes. Also the couple next to us had tried to ask for utensils multiple times just to be ignored. Will never come back.

We've been coming to Annie's since we moved to Lake Elsinore in late 2015. The food is always served hot and fresh and always taste amazing! Customer service is bar none the best around. I love the England cafe vibe ambiance. You can never go wrong at Annie's.

First time here and not the last. How did it take so long to find about this place?! Food: Delicious! We split the country fried steak and eggs and cinnamon French toast. Their menu is huge; breakfast, lunch, dinner, specialty coffees. No wait which was surprising for a Saturday morning. Why not 5 stars? Long wait for my iced coffee drink, I thought maybe the server forgot to order it. We go the country fried steak, but not the French toast. So we wait and had to ask the server if it was on the way. She didn't put in the order, but it didn't take long for them to make it.

Loved the food and customer service. I got pancakes, chorizo burrito , waffle , and everything was 10/10

World's best Monte Cristo. Service is always excellent. Been coming here for years, the quality of the product is always the best. I drive a little further to come here.

First time eating at this place and loved it. Only negative if you can call it that was that it was packed and loud. No fault of the place because they are doing something right. Service was good and food came out pretty quick. But a fan of hash browns but these were perfect. The pork chops were amazing. Everyone else loved their meals too. We will be back!

I had what looks like a broken part of a utensil in my skillet. Completely unacceptable. I'm sure it was a mistake-- but these can be life altering mistakes to someone. Thankfully, I was aware. Side note-- your pancakes were good Annie, but I can't go back because who knows what else is in your food that we can't see or taste.

Traveling up north so decided to stop and get some grub. They are known for their coffee cake so started there. Solid. Very tasty! Had an omelette, French toast, double whammy, and a side of a biscuit and gravy. Everything was good but the standouts were definitely the sausage that came on the double whammy and the biscuits and gravy. The service was absolutely OUTSTANDING. Special shout out to Candice and the whole crew who were so quick to help us with everything we wanted. During our time we saw Candice say hi to the locals and really just go above and beyond for every table. Dinner food at good prices and good portions. Very big parking lot so no worries on that. It was also great how there wasn't a wait.

2024.08-31/SUN_1000: We wanted a bite to eat since we've been to Annie's Cafe before. The crazy thing is, we ended up here instead of the one off of Jefferson. We accidentally got directions for the wrong location. They still had all the British decor inside and out including the old school telephone booth! I snapped a photo of that one. It's inside not outside like the Jefferson location. I'm actually happy that we went to the wrong location because at this location, it's a total different vibe. I'm not sure if it's because of the open dining or what but everything rocks here. When we first arrived, it was nothing like the Jefferson location. The ambiance here is so much more like a hometown, relaxing diner. All of the staff here - servers, bussers and cooks are incredible. Everyone is welcoming and sweet! The entire staff is attentive - taking orders, clearing tables and making delicious food. Even the dining area looks different than the Jefferson location. It's the whole vibe! As busy as this place was, they had the BEST ticket times! It was smart how they make all of the "skillet" dishes in small cast iron skillets. How clever. They'll be able to pump out so many orders at once. We just placed our order and it already came out five minutes later as well as all of the orders for our surrounding tables! They were slammed and the staff was in the weeds! Best of all, they all hustled with a smile! It's a very well-ran restaurant that it made me miss my server days when you have the best of crew to work with! This is what you'll experience at Annie's Cafe at Lake Elsinore! Primo service all the way around! Every staff member that stopped by our table delivered the best service! I had the Louisiana Skillet which is loaded with potatoes, sausage, bell peppers and it's topped with cheese. It came in a cast iron skillet and with your choice of bread. I had the Sourdough toast. Deliciousness! Just comfort food all the way around! The hubby had the Winston Churchill. It's served on a large plate with Heinz baked beans, eggs, potatoes and a couple of bangers. You also had your choice of bread. He chose the biscuit. We believe they must make their own sausage and bangers because the texture of them is finely ground and like no other sausages we've ever had. Plus, the flavor is like no other either! When we saw our neighboring table get a crepe, we ended up ordering the fruit crepe even though we KNEW we were going to be stuffed. You had your choice of two fruits! We chose strawberries and blueberries. Holy moly, the next time we visit, one, I'm going to this location and two, my main dish will be the Fruit Crepe! It was three inches thick because it was loaded with strawberries and blueberries. Best of all, there was no type of sauce all over the fruit inside of the crepe! The crepe itself did not need anything in my opinion. It tasted like a buttermilk pancake! I don't like syrup so this was perfect in my eyes. The fresh whipped cream was all I needed and next time we visit, all I'm going to order is the fruit crepe with extra whipped cream as my main entree. You receive a good amount of whipped cream on the crepe but since it's homemade whipped cream...I want mine loaded with whipped cream! Busy but got seated very fast. I got the turkey bacon sandwich and it was so good. Everyone who worked there was super nice. I will be coming back!

Ordered takeout from here and it was delicious. The staff who helped me were fast and efficient. The restaurant is very diner esque. The hobo scrambler was delicious and a generous proportion. The French toast was also very good. Will definitely have this place again.

We waited maybe five minutes to get a table which wasn't bad at all. Had about 4 different servers come to ask about drinks , the drinks took about 15 minutes, and the food took another 25 min at least . The best thing we had was the Hawaiian French toast everything else was basic.

Absolutely amazing food. Delicious, flavorful, ample for the price. The coffee cake was delicious too! I haven't had such a wonderful coffee cake in years. They certainly know what they are doing. Keep it up Annie! I will be a regular from now on. Service was excellent. Even though my server was extremely busy, she had a fresh pot of coffee in her hands and always filled my coffee cup with fresh coffee. She is amazing. Ambiance was ok. They could need to expand because the tables were very close together and a little bit hard to sit in the chairs. But that's the only thing I can say. I will be a regular from now on.

Today, I took my daughter, who was visiting from out of town, to one of my all-time favorite breakfast spots, Annie's. I had high hopes for a delightful morning, but unfortunately, the service fell shockingly short of expectations. I ordered the Double Whammy and decided to upgrade my French toast as a treat, only to be dismayed when the bill arrived and everything was charged à la carte. I approached the manager to clarify the situation, but instead of a helpful response, I felt gaslit as she insisted that she had explained the pricing structure clearly. It was astonishing to witness such a blatant disregard for customer service. While I can't fault the food--it was absolutely delicious--I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. Had she taken a moment to properly communicate the details, I would have left with a much more positive experience. This was at the Lake Elsinore location.

Had one of the best breakfast and experience here. Staff was really friendly and to start off the ice tea was great. All the food was cooked perfectly and was brought out to us quickly. We particularly like the pancakes which were cooked perfectly and tasted great. Probably the best pancakes I've ever had. I'm definitely coming back here for breakfast and maybe try lunch items next time.

I was very excited about this place because I saw a picture of the crème brûlée latte. It was delicious! I ordered the country fried steak and was asked if I wanted it with veggies or with biscuits and gravy. Unfortunately I was not told anything about these things being an extra charge. You guys could at least put it in the menu if you won't speak up about it. When I received my receipt there were the two extra charges and I told the waitress it wasn't mentioned to me that these would be extra. She said nothing and I just paid. I will probably not come back to this location. But the breakfast and coffee was decent so that was nice.

I hope this place doesn't change anything. Good serving of food, friendly service and great ambience, comfortable fair and affordable without sacrificing quality. True homemade cooked meals. If you're local, go there for breakfast, better than Deny's or iHop. Keep it up. I will keep coming back as long as they keep doing good business. Highly recommend.

The food was delicious this was my first time going. They do have a small area to serve you just know when you go there may be a wait. Yes they serve alcohol beverages including their feature Royal Drink. Ambiance is nice and it is kid friendly. You will not regret waiting for food. Prices are reasonable and they have a variety of food options. Including vegetarian or pescatarian options

We have lived dining here in the past. Unfortunately, this time our meal was terrible. My husband got the club sandwich and I got the roast turkey. The turkey in both Damaris was inedible. It was so dry I couldn't eat it. I was so hungry I took the turkey and ate the bread and veggies. The server did adjust the bill and charged me for avocado today, which I asked for. If I had hogan avocado today, there would be much more avocado than the up charged add on. My husband switched to another sandwich which was ok. I would have given less stars but the server was excellent and it wasn't her fault. Maybe they should taste a piece of the turkey before sending it out for others to eat. You could tell if looked dry by looking at it. No amount of mayo could have helped.

The food here is so good. I tried the funnel cake french toast and it tasted just like funnel cake it was so good. Big portions, and incredible service even tho they are busy the servers are on top of everything and super helpful with great recommendations on food. The atmosphere is so nice, lots of cool stuff to look at inside w a beautiful wall photo, telephone booth, and armor decorations.

Loved the food!! It was super fresh and delicious I crave it everyday now lol I got a Breakfast Special, scrambled eggs, ham, sausage with hash browns and toast, boyfriend got biscuits and gravy with hash browns and my sisters got strawberry pancakes and another Breakfast Special as well!! Everything was a 10/10, no complaints!

This place has a lot of great options. I was craving chicken and waffles the first time I went and and ordered it but they were chicken strips and it was meh... Then the second time I went I ordered the Monte Cristo sandwich deep fried and boom . Wow it was amazing .

Well for starters, I read through the reviews and was impressed to try it out. We walked in no greeting. Waited about 10mins before acknowledgement and we got our seat. It was butter on the floor almost slipped. Got seated asked what kinda tea was available the girl didn't know oh well. I ordered my food. I asked for blueberry pancakes. And I was asked how I want them. I was like on top no whip cream. I get my food and well... u tell me. I was assuming it would have been a compote atleast. right? The potatoes were bland as can be. Bacon and sausage was salty best thing was the fruit. Definitely a one and done. Won't return won't recommend

I love everything about this place!! So much better than Temecula and Candice is a sweetheart!! I come here for my breakfast sandwiches before work and sometimes when we get the chance we come for weekend breakfasts... they do get busy but they have an app to check in before arriving which makes it much more convenient

Heard good things about this place and so figured while in town and visiting my sister, I'd give it a try. Place is kinda small but homey. Service is great. Better get here early or you will be waiting a minute....or two. Just had a major surgery done recently and trying to be good, I tried their Garden Skillet. The evil part of me got the country Gravy on top to split the difference of good and bad for diet. Don't ask why, that was my thought process then. Should have just got what I really wanted and just ate less of it. Anyway...sorry, enough rambling.... So, the Garden Skillet....honestly, was just ok. I found the veggies and even the chicken to be quite tasteless. The thick savory-ness flavor of the gravy and the crunchy delicious texture of the home potatoes is what kept this dish in the game. Their country gravy is certainly an item to be reckoned with, for sure! My wife ordered their Denver Omelette and she was thoroughly satisfied. I did try the eggs and they were cooked right. Nice, soft, and fluffy. Went well with all that was prepared inside. Definitely like this place and will come here again when in town....however, most likely won't order their Garden Skillet again. Plenty of options to choose from that will satiate any appetite for comfortness. 4 out of 5 stars. A definite recommend.

very odd experience here, our server gave us a dirty look when we said we needed a moment for food then we waited 45 min to eat and took forever for them to run our check so my boyfriend flagged another waiter/hostess down for her to get our check and when she picked it up he tried to ask her something but she walked away and rudely told us to "just give me a moment", only caring to get money for the next hole she's gonna put in her face I guess. we had to get our own waters and to go boxes, don't go here

Highly recommend this place!! Service isn't the fastest but the food and old skool diner atmosphere was worth it. I had the pork chops and eggs. Huevos Rancheros. Both were delicious and great! Definitely will be back when in this area!

Food was mediocre. Bacon limp instead of crispy. French toast was tasteless. Pancakes heavy, not light. Service bad. We had to ask for utensils, for coffee. Too many people in one place, seemed like a safety hazard. We won't be back.

I know it's Mother's Day, and waits are expected. But our eta was 8-18 minutes and we waited over an hour. Once we were seated we waited 15 minutes before any one even addressed us., at this point some tables were even empty! No smile no acknowledgment, we placed drink and food orders at the same time. The coffee cake was really bad here we took one bite, it's not what we remember by far! My steak was over cooked which I didn't order it that way, bacon not crispy, and my daughter's hot chocolate was piping hot the whole visit. Usually they cool the kids order. We won't be back , and definitely An underwhelming Mother's Day here.. with very very low customer service .
