The south temple location is challenging to get into. There should be a way for the city to put in a limited turn lane to turn into the parking lot. Otherwise you can only turn right to get in, and right to get out. The hotel is not ADA friendly. There are several steps from the front or from the back, and most of the rooms are not on the main floor. For example, room 112, is on the 3rd floor. I get the charm of the age of the home-turned-inn, but because of my knees I wont be coming back. The room we had was definitely designed for thinner couples, one side you cant get between the tree and wall, and on the other side you push the window blinds open. I really wish there had been a way to have the lights brighter, the dimmer switch gives some control but really it was lacking. The shower pipe goes to the exterior wall, and the heat/cold on it dont respond as quickly as the tub does. We found it lagged behind in minutes by comparison to the tub. There was only one set of towels, so if you're going to be here for fun-time and make a mess....prepare either by getting additional towels beforehand, or by bringing your own. The staff was great, the food was pretty decent. Breakfast was better than dessert, the sauce on the cheese cake seemed like Hershey's syrup, it didn't really fit the quality of the dessert. I feel like this is coming off as a negative review, but I really did enjoy our time there, time away from kids, and dipping into a different world by theme. There are definitely considerations for people to keep in mind, and maybe bring a roofer in and get the single-pane windows replaced...

We got a great deal for their Black Friday half off sale! 2 nights for just under $300. We stayed in the Hayloft, one of the smallest rooms, but it was super cute and really fun! It was like staying in the attic area of a house, but with all the amenities and rustically cute decor. The breakfast is even better than last time with a few more options, homemade!! Free bottled water and homemade cookies. Bed wasn't as comfy, but over all a nice stay.

My wife and I finished a stay at the South Temple Anniversary Inn recently and we had a few issues. I called before booking to see how to use a gift card, and they told us to present it at checkin. We received a text at about 3pm the day before our stay letting us know that there would not be a night agent at the hotel and gave us check-in instructions. Because we were planning to use a gift card, I replied and asked how we should plan to handle the gift card since we were supposed to do that at check in. I didn't get any reply, so we figured we'd figure it out in the morning. Once we arrived at about 7:00, we were met by a front desk person who was actually there. She was very helpful, even though apparently she was there on her day off. We asked about using the gift card, and she told us that we needed to talk to the supervisor in the morning. We went and enjoyed our night, but the room was abnormally warm. In the morning, we got breakfast and, even though it was highlighted and circled, we were missing our meats, 1 order of bacon and 1 order of sausage. When we tried to call the front desk, no one answered and there was not a way to leave a message. We went to go check out and were told we could not use our gift card because we had to present it at check-in, which we did. Very frustrated by this inability to use our gift card. Makes me wary of coming back to Anniversary Inn in the future.

As part of a Thanksgiving special, we stayed in the Haystack room. When we entered, we instantly saw how small it was but very quaint and cozy. The bed was so uncomfortable and since this room was on the top floor, the room stayed very warm with no way to open the windows. However, the room felt very cozy. We did have a moment when the water for the shower was not cooperating, but we dealt with it. The staff was super friendly and helpful and since it was Thanksgiving weekend, it seemed like we had the hotel to ourselves but I know there were guests there.

We have stayed at the Logan Anniversary Inn a few times and had a great experience. We thought we would try staying in Salt Lake this time and were not treated with the same kindness. We were given a hard time with our bounce back certificate although we had never had issues before. She was trying to charge us another $200. It was even posted at the front desk how the certificate works and we had an email confirming how to redeem the certificate and what it covers. The room was nice except the shower didn’t work but we loved the location. We only had 2 pillows and asked for 1 more pillow and were told no. Only two pillows per room. We were shocked! Needless to say I don’t think we will ever stay at Anniversary Inn again, especially this location. The customer service needs some attention. We did not feel welcome at this location at all and would not recommend it. Upon checking out the man at the front desk was much more pleasant. I feel that if we had dealt with him instead of the woman we dealt with upon check in, our experience would have been better.

Dishonest pricing and using gift cards is a nightmare! My husband and I have had extremely disappointing experiences two years in a row trying to use our Anniversary Inn gift cards. Last year, during their Black Friday sale, we couldn’t find anywhere on the website to apply our gift cards. Apparently you can’t use gift cards during a sale. When my husband called to get help, the employee he spoke with was rude, unhelpful, and actually hung up on him. We ended up booking somewhere else. This year we tried again because we didn’t want our gift cards to go to waste. Two days ago, the room we wanted was priced around $170–$185. Today, when we tried to book it, the Black Friday deal had started. The “full price” for the same room suddenly jumped to $299 (over $100 more) so they could advertise it as “50% off,” making the sale price $150. We’re only allowed to use one $100 gift card per night, and we still can’t use it with the sale, which means that even using a gift card, we’d be paying $199 for the room (more than what the full price was two days ago). If we had booked the room two days ago using our gift card, we would have paid $70–$85, not $199. And I don't want to book the room using the Black Friday deal for $150 because the whole point of staying here was to use our gift cards and it was cheaper two days ago. It’s ridiculous that the price nearly doubles out of nowhere just to make the Black Friday discount look better than it really is. Raising prices just to mark them as half off feels very dishonest. Combined with our past customer service experience, it’s hard to recommend Anniversary Inn. We really wanted to use our gift cards, but both attempts have been super frustrating, and we’ll be staying somewhere else again this year.

Buyer of gift cards beware.....I recieved a gift certificate for christmas, so we decided to use it this last weekend. The front desk person was really nice, however when I presented her with our gift card she said it wasn't valid. I told her it had to be valid because we obviously hadn't used it yet. She said don't worry about it she would reach out to the manager and get it sorted out. We checked in went to our room. It was the jungle safari room. It was nice but very small and cramped space. No privacy door on the bathroom. I've been married for 31 years and we have never seen each other use the toilet. (that's private space). Hot water took a very long time to warm up. Other than that the room was nice. The front desk clerk called a short time after we went to our room and said the gift card wasn't valid due to a dispute charge dispute in May. I have never heard of a bank doing a charge back 6 months after a purchase. Because it was a gift card I obviously have no dispute. So we ended up paying the full amount. I will probably never stay at the Anniversary inn again because they should have made this right. Even with the gift card I still would have had a balance of $130 so its not like it would have been a free stay. I don't recommend buing gift cardes total scam.

We have stayed at anniversary inn easily 15 times, but never again after our last visit. It is under new ownership and honestly, it couldnt be more apparent. Truly awful experience. We had a "Bounce back" Certificate from our previous visit. It was set to expire four days after the dates we were hoping to use it. So, we called in and spoke to the front desk and explained that we would happily come before the expiration if needed but would prefer to stay a couple days after. They assured us that was totally fine, and even said if there was an issue they would call us. Never got a phone call so we assumed it was fine. Made the three hour drive, excited for our stay. When we went to check in, the staff was unhelpful, rude, and refused the bounce back saying it was our fault for calling a "third party" even though we literally called the front desk and verified that it was the front desk later, and that they got new owners and wouldn't be taking the gift card because they "couldnt get that money back". So, we begrundingly paid the $450 dollars for the room (insane, right?) as we had no other option and had travelled from afar. I have emailed the email they gave me to reach out to and haven't heard a response after nearly a week. Was hoping to get this settled before needing to write a review. Never had a customer service experience so unhelpful. Beyond that, the new owners are obviously only concerned with turning a large profit. Our room was dirty and in disrepair, amenities that they used to provide were missing, and all staff were extremely unhappy and rude. Will be avoiding this place at all costs and recommend doing the same to anyone reading this. The Hyatt regency is incredible, much classier more contemporary vibe. Or little america if you prefer something a little more historic. Both at half the cost as well.

Yelp
We had the Phantom of the Opera room. It was stunning. Even better than the room though was the amenities and the customer service. They had complimentary, freshly baked cookies. A selection of dvds to watch at no extra charge. Free omelet breakfast delivered in the morning at the time of our choosing. Becca, who checked us in, was so friendly, personable, and accommodating. We will definitely be staying here again.

Yelp
After a horrible experience at the 5th South location, we thought we would give them another chance at another location. Wrong. Price was good as we got a deal, but breakfast was not good. And because they were full, they allowed guests to double park...which meant we had to 4wheel over the flower beds to get out, barely. When we called the front desk about being stuck, they just said "Yes, we are full" - no other help with getting out! Peace out SLC Anniversary Inns. We used to stay once every two months. No longer!

Yelp
The front desk attendant is so abrupt and rude, it's comical. If she could've thrown the key, etc. at me she would have. Aside from that we love staying at all of the Anniversary Inns. The themes are clever and fun, the food is good. We enjoy our stays!

Yelp
We loved celebrating our anniversary here earlier this year! We stayed in the mountain hideaway room, and it really does feel like a cabin! We couldn't believe how gorgeous the outside of Kahn Mansion is, and how amazing it is that they fit so many rooms into such a normal looking building. The rose petals, sparkling cider, and breakfast delivery was the icing on the cake. I would recommend a stay here to anyone! The reason for the 4 stars was that the front desk receptionist wasn't very friendly.

Yelp
Bed bugs. Long story below. If you want the gist, go to the last paragraph. I booked the Anniversary Inn Suite for the weekend to surprise my wife for our anniversary. We have stayed at the South Temple location before and we both enjoyed it. However, I guess circumstances can change. My wife and I checked in around 7 to drop off our stuff and went out to dinner. We came back around 9. At around Midnight, my wife needed to use the bathroom. Our hearts dropped when we saw a bed bug crawling on the bathroom floor. Something to know about bed bugs, if you find one within 24 hours of staying in a place that means that place most likely has an infestation problem. Additionally, bed bugs have a very distinct shape that make it very easy to identify. The only bug that comes close to a bed bug is a bat bug... which is just as bad to have because that means anniversary inn has bats. In regards to carrying diseases, bats are probably as bad if not worse than rats. We grabbed the bed bug with a tissue and put it in a zip lock bag to give to the front desk attendant. He looked at it and said "I am so, so sorry." and "I'll have a manager call you tomorrow." We then asked for a trash bag to put all of our stuff in and left around 12:50 a.m. We got home an hour later and spent the next couple of hours sterilizing our stuff. We ended up going to bed around 4 a.m. I guess you could say the anniversary wasn't going well. I set my alarm to wake me up at 8 a.m because I anticipated the manager would want to address the problem immediately. No one called. I ended up calling around 12p.m to find out the manager wouldn't be in until Monday. Okay, no problem. I'll wait for them to call on Monday. No one called me Monday. I ended up calling on Monday around 2 p.m to find out they wouldn't be there until Tuesday. Okay, no problem. No one called me. I called on Tuesday to find out the manager wouldn't be there until Wednesday. Okay, no problem. No one called me on Wednesday. I ended up calling at 3:30 p.m to find out that the manager is only there from 7 a.m to 3 p.m. Okay, no problem. No one called me on Thursday. I ended up calling on Thursday before 3 p.m. and finally got a hold of a manager. I assumed they would give a full refund and say they were working on the problem. They did refund most of the money except for the $50 deposit. Their reasoning? They had their maintenance person look in to it and told me it wasn't a bed bug. They said it was another bug (I believe the manager said a box elder bug). Now here is the interesting part for those thinking about staying at the anniversary inn. Three years ago, I lived in a basement apartment of a very nice looking house for 1 month. There were two old ladies that lived up above that we met once the entire time we lived there. I didn't think the neighbors would be too big of an issue because they were relatives of the landlord. Unbeknownst to me, they were hoarders and lived very unhygienic lives. We didn't know this until we found a bed bug. We talked to the landlord who addressed the issue very well. He had a pest control company come out to confirm that indeed it was a bed bug, that the upstairs apartment was majorly infested, and that the bed bugs were travelling downstairs to where we lived through the vents and electrical outlets. They told us to bag our stuff so that they could treat it. They also recommended moving. We did both. We moved into a house and made sure that bed bugs didn't follow by setting up traps for the next six months. Luckily, we never found any. Now the point of this story can be broken into two parts. One, bed bugs are a living hell to get rid of. Two, I am now 99.99% certain that when I see a bug, I can determine if it is a bed bug or not. If you want to risk staying at Anniversary Inn know that they very likely have bed bugs. They are not dealing with the problem. Also, poor experiences you may have at this location will not be addressed unless you call about it.

Yelp
What a fun place to stay at! So many rooms to chose from too! Every room is different and they all have hot tubs, some with waterfalls. We picked the Train Room (I don't recall it's proper name) and it was completely decked out as a train car room. We also were able to easily walk to dinner which was nice. They have a library of DVD's in the lobby if you want to check anything out. And they served a very nice breakfast to our room In the am. If your looking for something a little different, stay here!

Yelp
I'm not sure what's going on with this location, but I won't be back. It is just not as nice as the 5th South property, and the staff is not as kind or as helpful. I've stayed here twice in the last month, and I've been disappointed both times. The first time, I arrived about 20 minutes before the official check in, and reception made a huge deal of it. After checking with someone, they decided that they could make an exception and let me check in early. With my second stay, I was sure to arrive almost an hour past check in time, and there were no cookies. Not sure if they were gone or just not available. The rooms are kept freezing cold, and I was disappointed that my one room that had a fireplace was not working. They provide small heaters, but they aren't very efficient. I've never had a problem with this at the 5th South property. At both locations, the breakfasts are better than a generic hotel breakfast, and they are brought right to your room. Parking is also easy and convenient. The cookies (when they're there) and the sparkling cider are nice touches. However, with my second stay at Kahn, I was overcharged for my room, and they were not willing to honor the price right on my itinerary with the total price including tax. Incidentally, this was the same price that I paid 2 weeks earlier, in the same month, without any issue. They only gave me a partial refund, so I had to go to the booking site. They were given some story about an extra lodging tax. They had just told me it was because their room rates were higher, but I guess they changed their minds. They are welcome to raise their rates, but they need to update them on their booking sites. It's not my job to call and confirm that they will honor their published price in full including tax. There is no excuse for shady business practices. I guess they would rather deal with the drama of a chargeback from my credit card company.

Yelp
They threatened to call the cops on us, after they messed up our checkout time! We stayed here for two nights for our one year wedding anniversary. Over the course of our stay the service was mediocre, our breakfast was served to us room temperature and bed was extremely uncomfortable. The worst thing about this trip though was the manager, Julie. The reason she threatened to call the cops was unbelievable. When I made the reservation, I selected the late checkout which was at 1pm instead of noon. I got a confirmation email that clearly showed that I had added the late check out to our reservation. At 12:13 on Sunday we got a phone call from Julie at the front desk. She informed me that were past our checkout time. I told her that we had the late checkout. She said that they "don't do late check out on Sundays". I was very confused and told her that I had the confirmation email that showed we had late checkout, but Julie did not care. She did not apologize for the miscommunication and she became very rude. At this point we were completely unpacked. We needed to shower and we didn't even have clothes on. Our stuff was strewn all over the room. I told her that we needed some time to get ready to leave and she said that the best she could do was 12:30. I told her that we wouldn't be able to leave by 12:30, it would take us more time than that to get everything ready to go. She replied by saying "If you are not gone by 12:30 then I will call the cops". We ended up having to shove everything into any bag we could and scramble around picking up all of our stuff. Not only did she kick us out and threaten to call the cops on us, but she also put a ban on us from ever going back to any Anniversary Inn. There was never any notification given to us that we would not have late check out! The staff at South Temple really dropped the ball on this and then escalated a calm situation by threatening to call law enforcement on us. This was the worst experience we have ever had at any hotel. Looking at a few other reviews on here as well it looks like Julie has been the cause of a lot of unhappy people here and what is more confusing is that Julie is the Manager of both the South Temple and Fifth South locations. If I were you, I would not go to the Anniversary Inn while it is still managed by Julie. She does not care about her customers and is rash and rude.

Yelp
Wow, what a joke. The owners and/or managers here are cheap and rude. We booked a room here months ago. The day before our stay I received a call saying that they would be closed the next night and would need to move us. We were in the middle of traveling so when I heard the message I pulled off the road and called back. The person I spoke with was rude and completely unsympathetic to the fact that they were messing with my reservation just one day before my stay. I asked why the hotel was closing for ONE night and they said it was because they had only a few reservations for that night and therefore they were transferring those reservations to their other property. Isn't that the risk you take in running a hotel, that you might not always be fully booked???? And if YOU do decide to be cheap and close for one day you could at least be kind and sympathetic about it when speaking with your customers. Anyhow, I asked to be booked into the same themed room at the other property since that was the whole purpose of me booking this hotel to being with. Of course someone else was already in that room so I needed to pick something else. I told them that I was in the middle of traveling and that I would hang up with them, pull the rooms up on my phone RIGHT THEN and then call immediately back with my decision. So I picked what I wanted and called back to no answer. Tried multiple times and no answer. I left a message explaining again that I was in the middle of traveling and to please call back ASAP and to try another number since I would not be answering while driving. Of course it took them a very long time to call back and then called the wrong number when they did. So eventually we were able to connect but due to their terrible service we just cancelled our stay. Don't waste your time with this company!!!!!

Yelp
The rooms are really fun, and overall we had a great experience. Cheesecake in the room with music playing when you arrive. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. We had a few problems with the enchanted forest room: 1. The shower curtain only goes 60% of the way around the tub which leaves a very wet slippery floor. 2. Only a few of the outlets in the room work. Hard to find one by the bed that charges a cell phone (no clocks in the room) 3. The bathroom sink didn't drain very fast. It definitely needed draino. 4. It was cold in the room (we went in January). We had the space heater going all night and 2 extra blankets and were cold most of the night. We even called down and they offered to turn up the heat for us (I think one switch runs the whole hotel) and that was ineffective. Other than that it was a fun and great experience.

Yelp
Overall we had a great stay at the Anniversary Inn, although there were some quirks. The process of booking the room went smoothly, although I would recommend to book a bit in advance. We waited too long, and didn't get the room we wanted - the whole hotel was booked! We ended up staying in the Savanna Nights room, which was ok. One great thing about the Anniversary Inn is that they have the extras you can purchase (like flowers already in your room, chocolate covered-strawberries, etc) that make it really easy to make your stay special without having to run a bunch of errands. We did have a bit of a hiccup - I had ordered dozen chocolate covered strawberries and only got 6. It wasn't a big deal though, because I didn't realize they provided cheesecake with the room! They quickly refunded the difference for the strawberries, and we were good to go. One really odd thing about the room - there was no clock. No alarm, nothing. Never stayed anywhere that didn't have one! Other than that it was a great stay. The decor was...interesting. But that's kind of the charm. :) The bed was very comfortable, the staff was great. I would have given it 5 stars, but there was one problem - it was too warm. It's an old house, so I understand that there is a thermostat that works for the whole house - but they could at least provide a fan! It would go a long way to make things more comfortable. The Inn is a bit expensive, so it's really a luxury, but for a relaxing evening away (without really going anywhere) it's a great relaxing time.

Yelp
Overpriced old house themed as an old house. I've been to the anniversary inn located in Logan several times and it's theming is far better. Our room was themed as an old room in an old house, so they pretty much nailed that one easily. The room was savanna nights. The staff at all the anniversary inns are always excellent. My only complaint is that we stayed 2 nights but the mini fridge was stocked for a single night stay so no additional water and apparently they can only afford to give you a single piece of cheese cake the first night only?? For the price of the room surely they could have sprung for 2 additional pieces of cheese cake! Oh well, I took more than my fair share of chocolate chip cookies to compensate for the lost cheese cake in return. Breakfast was delicious both mornings.

Yelp
I stayed here for business. Yep :) Just me. It was so much fun sleeping in the Enchanted Forest room for the couple of nights I was there. I mean, how ofter does one get to sleep in a tree house?? I usually get boring hotel rooms and they blend together after a while. It was fun staying somewhere unique and in a historic home at that! There was a bottle of apple cider in my room, water bottles and two pieces of cheese cake! Oh and breakfast to your room every morning! The room itself.....loved the rain shower and would have loved the large soaking tub if it hadn't been for my new tattoo :( I would definately stay here again...and recommend it to anyone looking for something fun and different :) PS the staff was amazing and helpful and very friendly!!

Yelp
This was 5/5 for sure! We stayed in the sultans palace and had an amazing night! The room was perfect and so was the breakfast. We are making this our yearly thing.

Yelp
Like some other reviewers, I sit in bed in the early hours of the morning unable to sleep due to how uncomfortable the bed is, so I decided to write a review. We choose to stay in the Mysteries of Egypt room. We arrived to a cold room without a thermostat to adjust. Instead we had to plug in a radiator. We first plugged it into the plug closet to the bed, but the outlets were so loose we had to plug it in father away. Finally about 1am the heater turned on blowing directly on the bed making it uncomfortably warm. There were a lot of decorative pillows on the bed, but only two pillows with regular pillow cases. As others have reviewed, the pillows were so lumpy that it was hard to have any pillow under my head. Then the bed was extremely firm. I tossed and turned and then finally gave up at 5am. I am really disappointed. We will never stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed in the Mountain Hideaway room--or shall I call it the "bleach" room? It is down in the basement, and before we even opened the door, we were hit with the STRONG smell of bleach. Not sure what happened in there, but the stretch was sickening. I actually worried I if I would be safe breathing that all night, as I have asthma tendencies and bleach is a known trigger. Only one of the basement-level windows opened, but between that, a fan we found in a closet that we ran all night, and the bathroom exhaust fan that we also ran all night, it was tolerable. But stay away if you have asthma, for sure! Room itself was cute, and breakfast was fine, if nothing special. But I wouldn't recommend this place given the strong smell and the lingering questions I had about why it needed so much bleach in the first place! A bit creeped out. Glad it was only for 1 night!

Yelp
My wife and I have stayed here twice and really enjoyed the experience. The first time we stayed in one of the Twilight rooms...(not my choice) but it was actually really nice and elegant (I didn't feel like I was in a cheezy teen movie). There was the standard sparkling cider and cheesecake waiting for us, plus I'd opted for the chocolate covered strawberries as well. (They are totally worth the extra money you pay for them) The only problem we had was with our breakfast order. I'd ordered a raspberry danish and was confused when I bit into it to discover a ham and cheese roll. That didn't kill the experience though and it was still a yummy ham and cheese roll. The second time we went we stayed in the Swiss Family Robinson room. This was cool and different, I've never slept in a bed in the top of a tree before so it was a fun experience. The waterfall shower was amazing; and, unlike complaints I'd heard previously about this room and the water getting everywhere, there were only a couple of drops on the floor just like at home. All in all we love coming here. The price is understandable as you are paying for an experience that you don't find many other places. If you're looking for a fun, out of the ordinary, hotel experience it would be well worth your time and money to check out the Anniversary Inn.

Yelp
I could see this as a good place for newlyweds maybe. We had a gift card for Anniversary Inn and figured we'd use it for our anniversary. MISTAKE. I don't really get the whole themed room thing. But we had the Hayloft room and it was tiny and HOT! So small it would only accommodate a queen bed. For $200 you get a tiny room with low ceilings, a jetted tub in the small space and no air circulation. Windows don't open. Oh and u get a gourmet breakfast consisting of a bagel or croissant, a fruit cup and 2 beverages. Wow. I would rather spend $110 and stay at the nice Little America downtown near everything. Spacious room, air, good restaurants. Skip on Anniversary Inn unless you are impressed by a room with a theme that is tiny and uncomfortable.

Yelp
My wife and I loved the experience we had here during our two year Anniversary. It was our first time staying at any of the Anniversary Inn locations. We stayed in the Phantom of the Opera room which was her dream! Loved the complimentary cider and cheese cake, and purchased a few bath bombs upon check-in. The bath bombs were fantastic, worth every penny. Loved that the room was in the basement, it stayed dark until 8:30 or 9:00. This allowed for a great nights rest on incredibly comfortable bed. Breakfast was delivered right on time. Our order was correct and delicious! We got the ham and cheese croissant and parfaits. Make sure to check online for current promotions like their weekday special and room of the month. Really look forward to staying again, so many rooms to choose from!

Yelp
Our experience with Anniversay Inn has been nothing but out of this world, and thats the reason why we have come back many times. This experience however has not been one that we would put in the same category. We stayed in Sultan's Palace, and believe me it was far from anything near what a Sultan would approve of. The size of the room was extremely small, no separation from the room and the toilet. (A little privacy for that aspect is always nice.) No shower except for a hand held unit in the large jetted tub. Strangely enough there are no signs or instructions as to how the tub is supposed to work. Going from bed to the bathroom there is a horrible sewage odor, that indicates there is definitely an ongoing issue that needs to be dealt with. Overall the room is extrememly small, with no room for luggage, no place to really bring breakfast in when its delivered. The room was cold, with no thermostat adjustment that can be made. We did find a small portable heater in the room but it didnt work. In this room, beware of the bed that sags HORRIBLY! In a place like this the bed should be the best part of the experience despite what the rest of the room may be. Outside noise is an issue for this room as well. Without extensive remodeling and renovation to this entire building this problem will not go away. The staff was more than helpful, more than friendly. Unfortunately, with a full facility other accomodations could not be made, nor was any future accomodation offered as compensation.

Yelp
The overall experience of this place was pretty good. The outer property (plants, walkways, parking lot) was well cared for, and the building itself was rather charming in its design. We stayed in the 'Enchanted Forest' room on the third floor, which was cute. It was fun to have the 'tree roots' to climb on the bed (though if you have any physical limitations, this may not be the room for you). The cheese cake and the cider was a nice addition. The whole inn has a very 'cozy' feel to it. One thing of note for this room is that the drain stopper got stuck in the sink, which is an easy fix, but when I looked under the sink I saw the horizontal pivot rod had nothing to hold it to the clevis--basically it's broken. This is a super easy thing to fix/replace, but I have a feeling it's been like this for a while because when I mentioned it to the girl at the welcome desk, she didn't seem very surprised. The tub was very relaxing, and it was nice that there was a way to play music. They also have a TV and movies if that is something important to you. The TV was nicely positioned for easy viewing, though we didn't use it. I also liked that there was a fan and space heaters in case either were needed. The breakfast was served on time (a little early actually, which worked just fine) and pretty decent, though the strawberry in my parfait was partially frozen, but honestly that didn't detract from my breakfast experience overall. The inn does offer other food items for late night eating if that is something you're interested in. We did not order from that menu, but it was nice that the option was there if we were interested. The service was pretty standard for the hospitality industry. I would compare it to service I've received at, say, a nicer Holiday Inn property. It was slightly lack-luster, but okay enough. Nothing that really set it apart or above expectations. I would stay here again and try a different room in the future for variety. For people who enjoy something a little different, or are looking for something a little more 'romantic' in a more 'story book' style, I would recommend this place for sure.

Yelp
Really disappointed this last stay. My husband and I stayed in the Mississippi Serenade room and the bed is SO small and really uncomfortable. We tossed and turned the whole night and couldn't sleep. We couldn't wait to check out after breakfast so we could go home and sleep in a comfortable bed. Breakfast was good though and the bath and shower in the room were pretty great.

Yelp
Stayed in the Mountain Hideaway room. Check in was easy and friendly. The room was as described and once inside, you really feel you are in a cabin. The attention to detail is quite amazing. The waterfall shower was the highlight! The room was clean and comfortable. We slept really well.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here and LOVED everything about it! We stayed in the mountain hideaway suite. The room was amazing-cozy and clean. The theming was very cute and detailed. The bed was very comfy. The bathroom was super fun-giant jetted tub and waterfall shower?! Too cool. Its so nice that they bring breakfast right to your room, thats one of our favorite things. All the rooms are cool and the staff are so nice and accomodating. Definitelty going back here again!

Yelp
Horrible experience. We had a problem when staying there and we kept trying to call the desk and the girl said their phone wasn't working... and so we even worse service having to walk down there when we needed them! my husband got sick of having to leave the room every time we needed something so he physically fixed their phone for them. The reason we needed to talk to them is the tub water was straight cold water. Add to it all ... you can't adjust the heat in the rooms at this location. It was January when we stayed and it was chilly in the room. One of the windows wouldn't close all the way or was a gap. When the Morning came after not a relaxing night a quite irritating night; the coffee was warm not hot.in The whole experience was horrible. I will never go back..ever! At the other location however I have never had a problem.

Yelp
Just had a very disappointing experience staying here. The room was not very clean, the staff not very welcoming, but the worst thing was getting woken up very early (before dawn!) by a maid cleaning right outside our room. Management was not very helpful when we notified them of these problems. Would not recommend this place and definitely will not stay here again.
