ANSARES HOTEL

What a beautiful Hotel, we had just the one night and spent a lot of time in their bar bistro. You can view the kitchen, the food is very good and the staff are brilliant. Great room and bathroom, I could not fault the place. Do not hesitate on this one!

We stayed at this hotel whilst travelling from the Med Coast to the Picos in N Spain. Excellent location and easy to find. Our rudimentary Spanish enabled us to sail through check- in. The room was great - quiet with all lights, air con etc controlled by modern touch switches.|Breakfast was great and we used the covered parking rather than leave car in the street. |Overall a hotel we are more than likely to use again.

This hotel has many good features; Fantastic pool, sauna, etc. Bar meals, restaurant. Clean, spacious bedrooms. Unfortunately, the WIFI was weak and no USB charging point in the bedroom.

Beautiful hotel with lovely rooms and decor. However we were not told about any facilities. We found the pool but when we asked about it there is an additional charge - when we paid £120 for the room that seems excessive. The restaurant however really let's the hotel down. The food was very basic and was cold and the meat was undercooked. When we asked the waitress to cook the meat more she pretended not to understand and was very rude. Second plate was cooked a bit more but the chips were still cold. We didn't receive our drinks andwhen we settled the bill the waitress just grabbed the money without a word. For a 4 star hotel the service was very very poor. When we mentioned to the hotel receptionist she said oh the restaurant was busy ! Not an excuse for rudeness or poor quality food. My advice is stay at the hotel but give the restaurant a wide berth.

For our final night in Spain, we wanted a hotel within an hour of Madrid Airport but not a chain hotel on the airport property. The Ansares Hotel fit bill. For a reasonable 131 Euro, we got a large double room in a purpose built hotel with free parking on the street. Our bed was comfortable but the room was very hot at night because the in-room thermostat didn’t work properly. So we opened the door onto our patio to cool the room. The shower was great. ||There’s not much of tourist interest in Tarancon apparently, but we parked, checked in and used the large room to repack all our things before our flight. We had drinks in the bar (reasonably priced) and dinner in the Essentia Restaurant that was good but expensive and even using Google Translate was hard to order. We didn’t have breakfast here as we left early for the airport. But it is available at additional cost. The hotel is an event venue and we saw them wrapping up a corporate event and setting up for a wedding. All in all, the hotel met our needs but I can’t imagine tourists coming here except on the way somewhere else.

3rd time of staying at this hotel and never fails to please. Decor and architecture are fabulous with a lively bar serving great food and drink at very reasonable prices. Room was spotless and bed extremely comfortable. Won’t hesitate to book again and again, if you want somewhere to stay halfway between Santander and Torrevieja then look no further.
