"The terrificAnse Maminbeach iswalking distancefrom Anse ChastanetandJade Mountain resorts. The beach is rarely crowded, and the calm turquoise waters and towering palm trees are hard to resist. Take refuge under a thatched seating area withloungers (for a fee), and splurge on lunch at the pricey beach bar, which offerstasty burgers, salads, and cocktails. Or just throw down your towel and enjoy the scenery, swimming, and snorkeling for a no-frills afternoon."

We stayed in Soufriere and were dropped off by our driver at Anse Chastenet (it is walkable if you like long walks up the hill with a windy road). We then walked the length of the beach, under the cliffs until we ended up at the very end - with a paradise like beach in front of us. The beach has resort loungers which are very expensive to rent for a day, but the sand is perfectly fine. The beach itself was very quiet on the day as we had showers, but they only added to the atmosphere. The sunset was stunning. There's a food outlet on the beach serving burgers made to order and fresh seafood.

*VERY IMPORTANT* The road to get there is long and absolutely sucks. You must have a good car with proper suspension to make it there. It's probably the best beach on the island. Very few people and very quiet, so you get the full beach experience of sand, sun, waves crashing and ocean breeze. Beach chairs are owned by the resort, which costs $65 per chair if you want to rent them (despite them being mostly unused). Nearby bar/restaurant for drinks and burgers are available to non-resort guests. You pretty much get what's on the menu though, so if you're picky about what you want, it will be messed up.

One of the most private and beautiful public beaches I’ve ever been to! Definitely worth the long walk and even a long swim! Bonus, the burger place is awesome as well! Although a little bit overpriced.

This was a fantastic beach to visit. Parking is free in a dirt lot just outside the gate to the Anse Chastanet Resort. You walk in through the resort main road and just before you hit the main bar building stay to the right. Keep walking in and to the right and you will get on the resort beach. Walk to the end and you will see a path that turns into an access road. Walk down the access road until you hit another beach and you see the large ocean rock. The further down the beach you go the more outside of the resort banter you will be. If anyone from the resort stops you and tells you to pay money, just tell them you are looking for the Anse Mamin beach. If you don't use their services, foods, bar, chairs, you DON'T have to pay anything. Just keep saying " we are trying to get to the beach only" This seems to bail us out of a lot of resort interactions, both here and other places around the island. Snokeling in general is not great in St. Lucia, so don't expect a lot. The water, sand, and waves were all perfect here. The road down to the resort lot, like many places is an engineering feat.

Uncrowded and pleasant place to spend an afternoon. Food/drinks/restrooms available at the beach bar. To access the beach, follow Google maps directions to Anse Chastanet Beach; there is a decent size visitor parking area. Park there and walk towards the restaurant but make a right turn before heading into the restaurant and follow the path to Anse Chastanet beach. Continue north on the beach and at the far north end of Anse Chastanet beach you’ll see a sign with steps leading to a dirt road. Anse Mamin is about a 10 minute walk up that road.

We visited as a day trip. Bring some lunch and a six pack of Peton’s. As an avid off-roader in California, the road to Anse Chastanet is not nearly as bad as other reviews. Broken, bumpy concrete but not slippy mud. It starts steep but is fine after the first 200ft. There is a large parking area on the left when you arrive at the resort. Be sure to assure the security you know to walk all the way north (right) because it sounded like they’re tired of day trippers expecting more. Once down on Anse Chastanet, keep heading north, you’ll arrive at a few concrete steps that lead to a flat gravel/dirt road, pass a small pier, and arrive at a gloriously under utilized beach and bar. The day user’s typically go past the two standing rock formations and you get it all to your self!!! We had a cocktail and utilized the picnic tables near the bar before we left, we felt welcomed there. Definitely do what we did.

One of the nicest beaches in St. Lucia. Tucked away, so very quiet, but only about 10 or less walking from a car park. Also there is a really nice restaurant called Anse Chastanet. So after a good swim you can dine in this nice restaurant.

Our favorite beach in the area. Had it all to ourselves! Park in visitor parking at Ans Chastanet, follow signs to beach access into the resort, head to the right and find the stairs to Anse Mamin beach, it is overall about a half mile walk from the parking lot to the beach. You can rent chairs and there is a hut to purchase food and drinks even if you are not staying at the resort. We had a few towels and had packed a cooler, so we just enjoyed the beach! Highly recommended.
