Incredible experience and so delightful. A great place to learn about sake and if you get Rebecca (Bec) to serve you, consider yourself very fortunate and lucky. She is so knowledgeable and paired us with our own type of sakes for the flight and it made it very memorable. The food was delicious and went beautifully with our drinks. The ambiance was awesome with music just right volume to encourage conversation and it was LPs (need I say more). Will be coming back for more!

The food was mostly good. The fried potato mochi was chewy and a mixture of both sweet and salty. The sandwich was pretty good. But the highlight of the dinner was the prawn casarecce. It was so good, full of umami with a hint of citrus flavor, which I guess from yuzu. The vibe was insane, and everybody was having a good time.

Such a cool spot in Newtown! Recommend getting there early as it’s walk-in only. We had to wait over an hour for a seat, but given there are so many options around Newtown for a pre dinner drink it was all good! They text when the table is available, making it easy. We had the ceviche and potato mochi to start - interesting and unique flavours with a flair of Japanese fusion. The stand out dish was the Tagliatelle with shiitake mushrooms, so much depth and umami. Super cocktail menu too - I had a penicillin with Japanese whisky 🥃 very different with a smoky finish. All in all, a great meal and rememberable experience!

Food was good, service was better. Staff was very attentive. Went at lunch on a Sunday, right as they opened so we got a table right away. Didn't get packed until closer to 1/1:30pm? We didn't feel like we were being rushed out. Sad we didn't get to try the desserts. Serving for the mushroom pasta's a bit small for the price but the dish itself was good and balanced. The rest of the dishes were pretty decent portions. Potato mochi was just okay (without the seaweed it's just plain mochi). Pork neck was orety good and tender. The jerusalem artichoke entree was my favourite.

The food was amazing. I highly recommend the place. Very nice atmosphere as well. The desert was spectacular, the texture, sweetness 100/100! Already want to come back.

One of my favourite discoveries for 2025! Ante is walk-in only, expect 1hr wait on the weekends. I really like this sake bar, it’s super duper ambient inside, good vibes and delicious top notch dishes. Really recommend the mushroom pasta which was perfect, the mushrooms were so soft, yet juicy and the pastas are definitely cooked al dente. The yuzu non alcoholic drink is super addicting, a popular choice despite it being a sake bar. All the dishes are definitely flavourful and more poignant for a fusion sort of restaurant. The miso flan was a strong finisher so if you’re already full, I’d go for a more fruity option.

First of all, you can’t go wrong with their sake selections. Truly amazed as how they can categorise the profiles accordingly and recommend you as to what should be paired with what food accordingly. Second, i admire the vibes and atmosphere to the space. Specifically love that they have vinyl dj set playing curated jazz, jazz funk to exotic jazz. Their services do not lag behind the ambience and atmosphere either. Last but not least i will highly recommend their red emperor calamansi crudo and mushroom tagliatelle. The fried potato mochi is also a nice touch. Although it seems that they change their menu quite often according to seasons which is why i am looking forward to coming back and tasting different dishes to the seasons changes. Conclusion is that this establishment is a must try!

The bread was so good we got a second serving. The potato crisps was so well made. The prawn pasta was so buttery and delicious. The cod was cooked to perfection. A lovely atmosphere and great service. I definitely would come back!
