Antera Suites Playa del Carmen

Very disappointing stay at Antera Hotel & Residences. The reservation was made for four guests, and I added and paid for a fifth guest. Despite charging extra, the hotel refused to provide a proper bed for the fifth person. Instead, they gave us a small sofa/chair, which is absolutely unacceptable and not a bed by any standard. One of the rooms included a jacuzzi, however there was no hot water, making it completely unusable. This is unacceptable, especially when such features are part of the room offering. On top of that, the overall experience was extremely poor: Loud party noise until 3:00 AM Heavy traffic noise starting at 7:00 AM due to very poor sound insulation The children were placed in a separate building, which is unreasonable and unsafe for a family stay While the location is central, the noise level and conditions make it impossible to rest. Charging for an extra guest without providing a real bed, and advertising amenities that do not work, is misleading. We arrived here after staying at a hotel in Cancun where everything was calm, quiet, and enjoyable — the contrast could not be worse. I would not recommend this property, especially not for families.

Horrible!!!! Do not go here if you ever think you will sleep. Loud music until 4am blasting through your room. When speaking to the supervisor he gave not one dam and offered nothing but earplugs. No compensation. No nothing. And fully booked. A hotel is meant to sleep in. Both my husband and I woke up with headaches and the fact that there was no concern is baffling. I have a huge following on social media and they will be told.

Let me start by saying, this is a beautiful hotel. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience. We could not sleep at all because there is a club next door and the music is so loud there is no sleep until after 4am. Once we spoke to the manager , he truly didn’t care to help at all. If you plan on partying and staying up all night this may not affect you, but IF YOU PLAN ON SLEEPING AT ALL DO NOT BOOK A ROOM HERE YOU WILL REGRET IT.

I have a double feeling about this hotel. The hotel itself is great! Kind personel, good beds, clean rooms, nice roof pool and so on. The location is also greatm lots of good restaurants close by, close to the sea, 5th avenue and pickup places for daytrips. The only downside is one terrible dining place next door, if you see the reviews on google maps you understand what horrible place it is. They have loud music till 4.30 in the morning with 0 regards to the surrounding hotels. As light sleepers we would not close our eyes untill the music stopped. One day they were closed or had no music, if felt like heaven. So great hotel, just notice when booking the jacuzi rooms that there can be loud music next door.

Three words - Bring Ear Plugs! The hotel should have something on their website!! Please!! Thank goodness we travel with Industrial Grade Ear plugs (like the ones you wear if you work on an Airplane Tarmac, cause that is what you will need!). There is a rooftop bar down the street that plays until 4am every flipping night with the most Annoying 70's Techno Disco Crap. It was horrendous! The rooms were great. The service was great. The staff was wonderful, but the Ambiance after 11pm was absolutely Horrific!! So sad the bar has no regard for Anyone but themselves. Extremely Rude. I bet a rooftop bar like that in Cancun wouldn't last.😉

I don’t have anything negative to say about this hotel. From check in to check out it was amazing. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The location is perfect to get to the beach or shopping and eating around town. Police are everywhere and I always felt safe. I do want to highlight someone. Pavel who runs the bar is the best employee I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Not only did he make great drinks but just having conversations with him and getting to know his story was amazing. His service was the best I’ve ever had from any employee no matter the industry I’m working with. He is special and I hope the owners treat him as such. People do mention the club noise which can be loud but hey it’s vacation by the beach yes it was loud but by the end of the day we were so exhausted honestly it helped us fall asleep lol. Highly highly recommend this hotel. Also the restaurant downstairs called yum yum is life changing.

Great location in Playa Del Carmen! The one-bedroom apartment had everything we needed and a very comfy bed. My only complaint was the shower—the fixed ceiling head and weak pressure made it difficult to use, and the water felt a bit salty/brackish. Other than that, we had a lovely stay!

Highly recommended. Everything was great! The clean room, the big apartment, the friendly, patient, amazing service from everyone we met. The location is perfect. We easily extended our stay for exactly the same price, which I have to say was terrific for the 6 person apartment. You should definitely stay here if you are coming to playa del Carmen. The receptionist also helped us with booking taxis and shuttles to Cancun.
