Antera Suites Playa del Carmen

I don’t have anything negative to say about this hotel. From check in to check out it was amazing. The staff was so helpful and friendly. The location is perfect to get to the beach or shopping and eating around town. Police are everywhere and I always felt safe. I do want to highlight someone. Pavel who runs the bar is the best employee I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. Not only did he make great drinks but just having conversations with him and getting to know his story was amazing. His service was the best I’ve ever had from any employee no matter the industry I’m working with. He is special and I hope the owners treat him as such. People do mention the club noise which can be loud but hey it’s vacation by the beach yes it was loud but by the end of the day we were so exhausted honestly it helped us fall asleep lol. Highly highly recommend this hotel. Also the restaurant downstairs called yum yum is life changing.

Highly recommended. Everything was great! The clean room, the big apartment, the friendly, patient, amazing service from everyone we met. The location is perfect. We easily extended our stay for exactly the same price, which I have to say was terrific for the 6 person apartment. You should definitely stay here if you are coming to playa del Carmen. The receptionist also helped us with booking taxis and shuttles to Cancun.

Antera Suites is marvelously centrally located in downtown Playa del Carmen. It’s a VERY nice hotel, with high-quality amenities and a very friendly and helpful staff. My family’s stay was phenomenal. The rooms very spacious and the suite we got was functional a fully-loaded apartment. The price was a bargain and well-worth it. I wholeheartedly recommend it and would return. Gerardo in customer service was exceptionally superb in clarifying an invoicing issue. Everything is within walking distance and there are good establishments around the hotel.

Amazing experience! Location was great, rooms were clean, and service was amazing. Pavel, one of the staff members was INCREDIBLE. He made the experience (and the drinks) beyond excellent. Best espresso martinis ever.

The staff was amazing. They helped us get different activities and recommendations. I would really recommend going to the bar as the bartender is very nice! The rooms lacked some things in our opinions. There were no salt, pepper, anything to do the dishes with, etc. There were also ants coming from the wall in one room. The dryer made all our clothes smell really bad, and we had to wash them twice to get rid of it. There is some noise from the clubs in the area but not too bad. Rooftop is very nice, there are two, and the one over the reception is the nicest one! Breakfast was okay. It was bare minimum, but it was enough. The nice thing was that we could get it to go for days where we left early in the morning for trips. Would recommend!

This hotel is located in a very convenient spot. The hotel is beautiful and quiet and just a few blocks from the beach and the Main Street. The staff is very helpful and professional. If you want to experience Playa del Carmen and still have a quiet place to rest and recharge Antera is perfect.

Antera truly is a wonderful place to stay! The rooftop sun deck/swimming pool is beyond wonderful and meets and exceeds ALL expectations with an ample amount of lounging/seating areas, 2 swimming pools, a hot tub AND a view of the ocean. The staff even comes around to check if you need a drink or any food. I was already in town so I was able to was check it out before deciding to stay and I was immediately SOLD! The location is unbeatable. A wonderful bar. Only a block away from 5th Avenue and 2 blocks away from the ocean. Wal-Mart/Soriana both a short walk away. GREAT staff. This will be my first choice in PDC. I’m truly grateful to have found this hidden gem!

We got a whole apartment on the residents side of this hotel. We had two bedrooms. One with a jack and Jill bathroom attached and a master bedroom with full bath that included a Jacuzzi tub. There is also an awesome rooftop pool with a hot tub, where you get a beautiful view of the city at night and the ocean during the day. There is full room service as well. If you pay the extra for the included breakfast, you will see that it is delicious. Overall I loved staying at this place!
