Anthony's Pizza & Pasta

Anthony's used to be a go-to place for Mines students such as myself, but in the past week they've done huge changes, downsized their menu, and changed the way they make their food. They used to serve great portions for the price, massive pizzas that could easily feed six, but now $20 can't even fill one of their small boxes. Old favorites on the menu are now gone from existence and the quality of the food itself is degraded. The soul of the establishment has been abandoned for a McDonald's-esque franchised theme.

We live 50 ft from this location, and had reservations about the new ownership. im happy to report Parker and crew promised id get the pizza the way we have liked it over the years. And Im happy to report he exceeded my expectations. Welcome to the neighborhood, y'all. We can send our airbnbguests with confidence. Good neighbors make a good community. Right on the corner easy to get in and out of. Tons of people there picking up their orders. The brownie was so fresh and good. I had it all over me, but I would definitely suggest picking up a brownie for that sweet tooth. Fast, good and hot. What more could you want in a pizza? The bathroom is a little difficult to get to but at least they had one. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Love this place! I've been to several locations but this one is my go-to/favorite. The manager (Tanner), is almost always in there when I go in, and he is always friendly and professional (especially for a younger guy). Even when the place is packed, he still takes the time to just say hello to regulars like myself, which you don't see very often these days. The store is always clean, food is always fresh and the service is always top notch!

Some of the best pizza hands down!!! I’m gluten free and the gluten free pizza crust is some of the best! Definitely give it a try!! One of the employees, Will, was so nice and helpful!! He said he’s also gluten free himself which made me more confident in trying it and trusting it!!! 10/10 spot for sure!!!

Paid $17.00 for this sad Chicken Caesar salad with extra chicken. When I called the store the employee acted as if there was nothing they could do. No utensils or napkins either. Disappointing for sure!

I was charged $21 for this. I wanted the Greek salad that I’ve always ordered and was informed they no longer have a Greek salad on their menu, but that this was the closest. I added chicken, pepperoncini, and olives to make it more of a meal. Would have no problem paying $21 for the huge salad I used to get that would often feed me twice, but I got this. There is no lettuce. I called to speak with management and was told that this salad does not have lettuce and the add ons were what made it so expensive. I’m quite livid. I was once a regular and will not be supporting these nimrods anymore. For $21+ I should at least get one meal.

Great experience at Anthony’s! The Golden favorite was delicious and definitely a must-try. Asher provided excellent service — friendly, attentive, and made everything easy. Always a solid spot, and I’ll be back for sure!

Pizza was delicious and service was fast! True New York Pizza where the west lives. We got a slice of pepperoni and cheese, and had to go back for seconds

Homeboy working with my slices was just walking around in flip flops. I don't work in the restaurant industry so I don't know if this is legal or what. I do know however as a customer, I don't want your bare feet in the same kitchen as my food. Maybe I'm crazy, idk. Please put some shoes on. Or maybe even some restaurant crocs with socks or something if you really don't like wearing shoes. I mean have some respect for your customers. I don't show up to my job, in fact no one should, in flip flops. The pizza I had was just alright. It did the job. Super greasy, idk if that can be helped or not. I hap pepperoni and cheese. Again, it was just alright. Didn't blow my mind or anything. The service was just alright too. The guy when I walked in kinda mumbled "hi what can I get you". Maybe he threw in a grumbled thanks after I paid. This place is whatever. You want a slice and don't mind bare feet, go for it. Hope this guy gets a job outside of the service industry. Idk why this upset me so much. I really don't expect better services at a place you can grab a quick slice, so I'm not really worried about that. But the sandals. God help us all

I used to live near this place and would get slices here fairly often. It was the best around 14 years ago and it looks like it still is today. My sausage slice was nice and thin, thinner than my local place in NJ! Served nice and hot. Service was good, and they sell beer which is cool. Coca Cola machine is one the fancy freestyle ones. 1 slice ran about $5. That's more than I pay back home but probably in-line for what's become a very bougie town. Their location in Lakewood was always solid as well. 2 slices, a drink and side salad for $10 is a decent deal for the area and you're hungry. Anthony's remains a great version of NY/NJ style pizza in the Denver area and the Golden location hasn't changed at all- which is a good thing. Bonus for clean restrooms.

Holy pizza!! This place is awesome, featuring delicious beers and even better pizza, right near the Coors Brewery! Talk about a HUGE pie!! Fast casual, so service was spotty.

I was lured in by the amazing smell while hangry and walking around Golden. We ordered a cheese neapolitan slice to go. It was ready pretty quickly (under 10 minutes). We were not impressed by the slice; the crust was good, but the cheese and sauce totally lacked flavor and we ended up having to use a ton of parm and pepper flakes. For over $4.50 after tax for a single slice, we were underwhelmed. The employees working were nice and the interior was clean!

Pricey pizza shop for the portion, but the pizza is yummy. Right in downtown golden and plenty of seating. The bathroom is shared with the rest of the building.

Probably some of the most disgusting pizza I've had. The dough/crust tasted like mold and dirt. The kitchen looked dirty.

My order was incorrect, and shorted. The delivery was very late because it was combined with an order 26miles out of the way. My pizza was stone cold. The worst ever.

Went there for lunch food was really quick ordered the chicken parmigiana and slice of pizza with pineapple. Chicken parmigiana was really good and slice of pizza looks really big and very thin. Staff was very friendly and fountain drinks on the side. They have bathrooms on the side of the building kind of awkward they share the bathroom with the building so ask the staff they will show you.

Evidently, not every franchise follows the same protocol and recipe. We moved from Aurora and when you ate in, they gave you a bigger version of the pizza but aside from that, toppings and cheese were generous. The pizza here tasted and felt like communion cracker. Very skimpy on the toppings. Last time I visit. So disappointed

I love Anthony's ! Today we went to Anthony's in Golden Colorado. We got a large pepperoni and when you order it to eat in- it's gigantic ! in the pic you can see what just two slices look like. My husband and I managed to eat 3 slices total and needed a couple boxes to bring the rest home. I love New York style pizza being from New York myself originally I love a good thin greasy slice with a solid amount of sauce and cheese and Anthony's always delivers the goods! I highly recommend this stop whether you just did the Coors tour, or walking along the creek, just finished a bike trail, or walking the shops- Anthony's is the perfect little stop!

Place is ran by kids and is disgustingly dirty. Feels like I'm in the New York subway. Pizza was literally like I was eating a cracker with melted cheese. Gross.

really great pizza! I ordered Extra cheese and double meat and veggies and the pizza was still crispy and delicious. great value for the money, I will definitely be back!

Love this place a lot. It's great Ny style pizza and the prices are always decent. It's ready pretty quickly and it's a great bang for the buck! I highly recommend !

2nd time getting dinner take-out, and the same pizza as last time.. just that good. 18in thin crust with olives and feta. We also got mozzarella sticks with marinara, cheesy garlic bread, and a large caesar salad. Carbs galore! This is a local, neighborhood spot and they do classic NY style pizza justice. The mozz sticks were golden brown and came with like 10 of them! The cheesy garlic bread actualllllly had visible mozzarella oozing through the middle. The caesar was a large portion with a tangy dressing. They hooked up the croutons up on the salad. that is important to note because i'm a caesar salad fiend and loved the heavy hand lol Prices are incredibly reasonable for the quality and portion size. Looking like this is becoming a regular "pizza go-to"

Not sure why 3 stars, thin and crispy and not heavy. Good sauce and loaded with greasy cheese.. give it a shot you will like it

I can't believe they sent this pizzas out! Furious and they did nothing about it. Do not recommend!

Pizza is ok, nothing to write home about. It's quick and easy but overall quality is ehh.

The food at Anthony's is amazing and I munch on any day. The pizza is perfectly cooked and it is so cheesy and delicious. The staff at anthonys is immaculate the chefs are amazing and the service is amazing. The service is always good no matter what day you come. The ambiance of the restaurant is amazing the way they designed it is great and it is very nice in the restaurant it has very good ambiance.

I love their pizza salad deal. We go each time we are visiting. My mines student goes 1 a week and are allergy friendly for him.

The pizza was good but your hairy staff of men need some hair nets back in the kitchen. Found one too many hairs distributed between my pizza slice, as well as my friends Sandwich! Made me lose my appetite:(

This is used to be my go to place for good pizza. This is now my go to place if I'm in the mood for skimpily topped, overpriced, inedible pizza soup. Totally inconsistent in both topping amounts and proper baking. Get it together. Waste of money. I've been a loyal customer since this location opened. You've lost my loyalty.

the service here is so amazing. the Food is so good and me and my friends loved it. the employees were so nice and did a great job. I love going here its always a great food choice. im looking forward to go here next time. The taste and quality in every bite is so great and id recommend. the pizza guy joe was very friendly and helpful will come back just because of himself. the ambiance of the restaurant is very good, with a clean dining area and friendly staff. i will be coming back.

Wondering around Golden and happen to smell this place. It smelt like heaven. We were looking around and found this place was the wonderful intoxicating aroma. We enter to find a sweet woman smiling saying hello. We ordered the classic special for $7.95 which came with two slices of cheese pizza with a fountain drink. We were handed our cups, and picked ourselves a table by the window for people watching. This turned out awesome as the most beautiful Great Dane was seated outside with their owner waiting for their order. Taking this as a sign that this place is pet friendly outside. Our food came out quickly, piping hot, and correct. The crust was crunchy and tasty. Cooked perfectly! The table had every time of extra that you may need like garlic powder, crushed red pepper, oregano, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. The restaurant was very clean and building seemed well kept. This all around was a great experience.

You'll be waiting roughly an hour for a 12" pizza. It's better if you buy by the slice, as they seem to get those out quicker, even serving several people that came after your order

Pizza by the slice Fast, friendly and delicious. Order st counter, they bring your food out. We had chicken wings, ziti and pizza loved it!!!!

We loved this place! We went on a Saturday night and it wasn't too busy, but picked up as we were waiting for our food. The service was excellent. The man at the counter was so pleasant and genuine. I really appreciate a good attitude and think it goes a long way in the service industry. We started with the Caesar salad which was wonderful. The lettuce was green and beautiful, very fresh! We were so surprised when the pizza came out! The large is huge! We ordered half pepperoni half black olive at the kids' request and even though that's not my first choice of toppings, I enjoyed it. The crust/sauce/cheese/topping ratio was perfect. It was a bit greasy for my liking, but I heard a young girl near me exclaim "the grease is the best part!" I simply sopped a bit of grease up with a napkin and it was perfect. The crust was my favorite part! As a traveling Yelper, I hope to return someday soon and try their other offerings.

Super friendly staff. I ordered a calzone for myself and a "kid's pasta" for my 4yo. It was like $25. That seems egregious. Who on earth gives a child spaghetti? With no spoon or knife. So he has to try to twirl pasta on his fork. Ridiculous. The calzone was ok. I thought if I were back in the area I might try the pizza. Then I got sick all afternoon from eating here. So that's that. Obviously, would not recommend.

Italian Sausage Hero was excellent! Right amount of spice, sausage, sauce and cheese. Highly recommended. Kids pasta was also a big hit.

Pizza was really delicious. Great huge New York style single slice of cheese. Served very hot with the perfect amount of everything and I ate it super quick. Only possible problem was that it took about 10 minutes for me to get my single slice of cheese, which is not very fast for if someone was in a hurry or just wanted to simply grab the slice and go. But the pizza itself was great. I would definitely eat it again

Ordered a Sicilian to go. My wife and I ate, or tried to eat, a piece of the worst pizza I've ever had. Just threw it out. You have to do a better job of making a pizza. $30 and out to the trash. Never again

First I must say I've been ordering from this location for a long time and have never had any problems until tonight... If this app would allow less stars they would get none after tonight's ridiculous phone conversation with two immature, untrained and incredibly unprofessional employees. After a misunderstanding about an awful order costing only $15, they refused to apologize about the wrong order to start. They refused to offer compensation or a remake at all. They refused to remake 4 slices of pizza for us after waiting well over an hour for delivery and when discussing the problem the girl put us on hold to answer another phone call in the middle of ours. I will never come back to this location. If I ever ever treated a customer like this at my job I would be fired in a second. Such a shame they get away with this kind of service.

I just had a major knee surgery and i ordered my pizza to eat in and then I was running late because I was on krutches hobbling around and I asked if they could box it up and throw in a side of hot sauce. The dude with slightly dyed-blonde hair up at the front acted like the world was ending and he took my pizza back into the kitchen and I didn't see him for 5 minutes and I could hear him talking bad about me. Sorry man I just had a major knee surgery and was moving slow . You never know what people are going through and if you don't like working in the service industry own it and move on. Dude up front with blond dyed hair was super rude and made me feel uncomfortable on my krutches . Good pizza though and I'll be back .

We were at the brewery right next door. Which was good. We ordered a quick slice which was very good. The wait was terribly long however because of their to go orders. I wouldn't recommend going in for one slice but a must to order a whole pie for pizza night!

Perfectly 3 stars average and in a good way which I will explain below. I was fairly, how do we say , intoxicated after breakfast today and I was in that I'mma eat a f'n cow state of mind when I see this pizza place. WELL i go in and the sweet boy there was like ya we can put whatever on the pizza so done deal I ate my fill and it was what I would say is exactly what you would want from a place that serves big ass peaces of pizza with covered in mottseretta. So you see in this way it was good to be average in that it was exactly what youre expecting from a big-pizza place. Sorry the picture is more shaky this time I was low on blood sugar but it was COLD AF OUTSIDE.

Even when ordered "crispy" our pizza was a soggy floppy mess.

Ordered pizza online for pickup an hour and a half later. Got there right on time and it was ready to go. 5 minutes later we went to eat it and it was cold and tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. Pretty sure they didn't wait to make it so it was likely sitting around for an hour or more. Just don't pre-order online and you will probably have a better experience.

Worst staff ever. Poor service a dirty establishment made this experience depressing! Especially since other Anthony's shops are fantastic.

CARRYOUT/DELIVER BUYER BEWARE. Ordered a large cheese pizza (18") and cheese sticks to go as we wanted a quick slice in store but rest on the road. LONG WAIT times but we happily waited as the pizzas that were coming out were huge and looked delicious. We got our pizza in a to go box as asked but the size was CONSIDERABLY SMALLER than the "same 18 in pizzas in store". We asked the cashier (dark haired man with beard) why the large pizza we ordered was not as large as the other cheese pizzas in the store at that moment. He informed us that the size for carryout was SMALLER than the size ate at the store! SAME PRICE FOR EACH PIZZA BUT OURS WAS CONSIDERABLY SMALLER AND WE WERE NEVER WARNED THAT THERE WAS A SIZE DIFFERENCE and it was the same man each time!! What pizza shop does that?!!! May 25 1-2pm

Excellent takeout pizza on 12/27. A little pricey at $50 for two pies but it was very good

I created a yelp account just to leave this review! This is the BEST pizza I've had since moving to Colorado years ago! Excellent customer service, great food quality, and my pizza is PERFECTLY cooked! Y'all have a customer for life! Thank you!!!

Not too bad. The view is pretty good. The taste was good. Its not my thing to have multiple televisions going, competing with each other for attention. They could get more comfortable chairs and charge $1 less for their by-the-slice slices, but, these are only minor details. I cannot comment on the pasta or any of their other types of pizza. If you'd like a NY-style piece of pepperoni and mushroom, this is a 4/5 star place to get it.

Anthony's has great tasting pizza. The mozzarella sticks are pretty bad, I took one bite and that was it. However, after witnessing multiple health code violations I couldn't even eat the pizza. I wanted to return it but didn't want any problems. I went to the Anthony's in Golden and the staff was so unprofessional yet friendly. I ordered my two large pizzas and mozzarella sticks then took my daughter to the restroom where one of the employees was taking a bathroom break but that was the only stall available so she rushed out and didn't wash her hands then returned to work. When I returned to the lobby I saw the same girl walking around the kitchen eating food. She was eating over the pizza prepping station, literally hovering over the place I just watched the cook make my pizza, she was taking bite after bite while she was making her plate of food on that same preparing table. Then she made her way to the cashier's station with a slice of pizza in hand eating away in front of the lobby guests. It was pretty repulsive to watch and I completely lost my appetite during my time waiting for my food because then I saw the cook who made my pizza come into the lobby and was standing there taking a rest that's cool but then he picks his nose. I was losing it inside while watching all this unfold. The girl who didn't wash her hand walking around eating over the place the pizza is made was so disgusting and then the cook picking his nose with washing his hands after then he handed me my boxes of pizza.. none of them wear gloves. I should have requested a refund and left because I question the cleanliness of the employees and the facility. It was very unsettling and a health inspection should be done and employees need to have better hygiene. The pizza is good but I can't eat it after seeing that.

This pizza is great every time. If you're into thin crust large pies with slices that fold, get some!
