Absolutly amazing, especially if you are into caves and such! Four of them to explore, indigenous art, geological formations and batts galore. Wow what an adventure! Only 45 minutes fron the capitol and not overrun by tourists. A best kept secret. 5 stars all the way. Check it out.

Great experience! I wish more people knew about this place. You need a tour guide and the price depends on how many caves you want to see. The trip is so worthy!

A bit expensive, but because it's a bit out of the way we ended up with a private tour. The guides only speak Spanish, so brush up on some common words before you go! Wear some good walking shoes and watch out for bat poop 😅.

Been to Dominican Republic 4 Times and this by far and away the best thing I’ve done these caves are stunning in their size and history. The Taino pictographs are amazing to look at how is this not a world unesco heritage site? I fear for this treasure with mining site that you have to drive through to get to it. In any other place in the world would be a highly visited and protected location. The guide was amazing and very knowledgeable but only spoke Spanish but the sights were beyond words. This is an Indiano Jones adventure. Please visit and look after your guides!

One of the best and most exciting experiences I ever had in my life! These sacred caves were used by the Native people of the Caribbean, the Taino and the Igneri, for thousands of years, and contain hundreds of petroglyphs which are so great to observe. The guides are very informative, kind and helpful, and do a great job in taking visitors and tourists to different caves, with detailed explanations. The area is suitable for families and children, with wide open spaces, meadows and woods. A place to relax also. So bad to see the limestone caves endangering the caves just out of the Anthropological Park! I do hope the government will protect the caves! Definitely a place I recommend to all, Dominicans and tourists alike!

I live in Dominican Republic and make a Domestic tourism every weekend but Cuevas Pomier was one of the best experiences I had! It’s 55 calcium caves, a millions years old each one, with caving drawing and huge labyrinth like path. So much fun! 💙💙 Guide was so knowledgeable, worked there for over 20 years, told us a lot of stories and Taínos information. Very nicely maintained area, sculptures of Taino, gift shop, parking, security...all good. Bat’s cave is just amazingly cool. We have time just for 2 caves so we’ll be back few more times to continue our experience. Also: don’t forget to stop and buy Banilejos mango 🥭 on your way back. Your trip wouldn’t be the same 😂

A very huge national park and with lots of Historical arts and sculptures. Very beautiful and well taken care of. Well reserved park , thanks to Dominican Government for their great jobs about reserving and preserving all these parks. I love them and histories in this country. Come and visits.

Superb caves, but no road signs to where it is, so follow google maps even if you have the impression to enter le mining facility. Bathrooms have no water. And guides may not know a lot but they try. All in all it’s a gem in waiting, hope DR does better protecting it.
