I found my DREAM Bridal Gown here, and let me just say that Leslea, the stylist for my appointment, was INCREDIBLE! She was extremely knowledgeable, kind, supportive, informative, and just the absolute sweetest soul! I didn't want to leave because she made it so enjoyable! I will be recommending her to all of my friends who are engaged! By the end of the appointment my whole family absolutely loved her! She really gave me such a perfect Bridal Gown shopping experience and I honestly feel so blessed! <3 She went above and beyond!

Was denied a price adjustment because my items were already on sale. After reviewing the price adjustment policy online I learned that although this is true, the sales associate did not make any attempt to look into the order, or even scan my receipt to see if there was anything she could do. I work in retail management and although price-adjustment policies like that are set in place for a reason (for example: to preserve profit margins on NFP items), according to the return policy she could’ve returned the items and rebought them with the additional discount being applied on the sale items. However in the moment, her response was that I simply could not do that, so I had no choice but to turn around and reply with an awkward good-bye! Looking back on the situation, coming from a customer point of view, she had a severe lack of empathy. If you run into her please request for another associate. She was around 5’6/5’7 and had dark brunette hair. Professional advice from an upscale boutique manager to your store: fire her. She is not cut out for customer service at all because of the lack of empathy and bad energy. Retraining on customer experience is much needed if you want to keep her as a valuable asset to your store!

Wonderful experience for my daughter Andrew took us early, was prepared with my daughter’s preselections, served us a glass of champagne. and was fully knowledgeable about potential alterations. I saw and felt her listening to my daughter. I am sure I have her name wrong and I apologize for that, but an excellent consultant. Thank you for a great experience!

They won’t accept online returns at this store. The employee told me that the item was “final sale” and could not be returned but then when I got home and chatted with customer service, they confirmed the item was returnable and provided me a label to send it back. I’ve had this happen multiple times at this location. The staff is rude here, would not recommend.

My wife bought a $350 dollar dress here and the young cashier shoved it into the bag like it was a beach towel. If Anthropologie is going to charge such high prices then they should at the very least train staff on how to fold garments nicely and appropriately. I HIGHLY recommend going to King of Prussia because this idea seems to be a foreign concept at the Philadelphia location. I should send you the dry cleaning bill, and I will.

Google
I looove anthropologie. But I think its terrible that their flagship store does not carry the A+ range. Also while I think its wonderful for younger people to work this stores branding and pricing if geared towards a more established person. But the feel of this location and the way it's staffed felt more like an aeropostale.

I’m a very loyal Anthropologie lover and always shop there for my clothes and homeware. I even bought the veil for my wedding from their wedding section. I usually have a very pleasant experience with all the staff in the store but recently they have become argumentative and don’t care about the customers. I recently walked out of the store crying and begging them to allow me to have a one time exception for their final sale policy which I’m aware of it but it was an online purchase and they have given me exceptions before but this staff was very rude and they have lost me as a customer. Will only be going my shopping from online or other stores. Highly disappointed.

Don’t try on wedding dresses here unless you want to catch ring worm. The dresses were visibly very very very dirty and stained from people’s body oils and probably being steped into on the floor. I wanted to end my appointment early because of how dirty the dresses were. Was very surprised. Just save yourself. The rest of the store is great, but beware of the bridal section.

Yelp
This is the flagship store for Anthropologie. It's in a former mansion from the late 1800s. Just stepping into the building feels luxurious. It still has many of the original details like a sweeping staircase, an opulent ceiling of portraits and a rotunda. The clothing and jewelry have a fun vibe with styles for a variety of ages. The home decor has great gift items that are the kind of things you buy one for yourself too lol The sale section on the top floor has lots of good bargains. It's worth the hike up those steps! The staff are helpful. The person who checked me out wrapped my glasses individually in tissue paper so they would be protected. They were super sweet! It's a fun shopping experience

Yelp
Great store with awesome displays and fun to explore. Located inside old Victorian type building, it's clean and organized with 3 plus floors to explore. I usually drive so it's good that there is a loading zone right across the street for about 30 min. Come here for the additional %off sales. The prices sadly are still pretty high compared to a lot of the sale sections in other Anthropologie stores. I blame the center city location. Sale section also lacking accessories and house hold items. I seem to have a better time getting deals at other places. Much bigger sale selection at the KOP locations.

Yelp
Nothing less than 5 stars for the amazing flagship Anthropologie right on Rittenhouse Square! I always have a great shopping experience here and am grateful to have this Philly brand well-represented here. The sales section on the top floor is a big win, in my opinion, and you can't beat even just looking around at the stunning architecture. No one does merchandising quite like Anthropologie, and they even have a bridal section in this store. Not cheap but great for a treat! Always look forward to coming back.
google avatar

Parisa H.

Yelp
I love this store! The decoration and the architecture is so unique! My favorite has to be the home and candle section! I can always find a unique item that I love! My advice is to just buy it if you like it! Odds are you may never see that product again!
google avatar

Yelp
They had a good selection to choose from here. The pricing was generally ok. I tried to get some help by one of the people employed here and she was very helpful. It was fun to browse and the place was beautiful. The displays were nice and well put together. Looking forward to coming back.

Yelp
Not much for me in this store, but i to browse around when in town with friends. Lovely decor throughout and very organised display of merchandise.

Cash T.

Yelp
Oh no! I just got followed today and by another brown woman. Maybe it was super casual look? I really liked a dress too. I'm sure I'll find another elsewhere and enjoy a nice lunch with my savings.

Yelp
Literally my favorite Anthro experience. It's a beautiful store with great staff. Clean, spacious, organized and staff that wants to help

Yelp
This is the coolest Anthropologie! It's right in Rittenhouse Square and is 4 stories. The architecture of the building is gorgeous. I always love shopping here because of the atmosphere and their great selection. I came in here yesterday with my mom and sister. We were thrilled to see that the entire store was 40% off. Even the sale! We made out with lots of awesome purchases. We felt very safe the entire time. Everyone was in masks and kept their distance. I would recommend this store to any anthro lover, as well as anyone looking for a unique shopping experience!

Yelp
I stopped in here to browse and waste time - at least I convinced myself that's what would happen but nope... The layout of the store is welcoming, the cacophony of scents was inviting and the associates were fairly friendly... Needless to say, my "browsing" turned into shopping... The displays were neat and the fitting rooms are clean and have great lighting. The prices are moderate and the offerings are unique... if you've never shopped Anthropologie, it's definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Service is great! Love the shoe selection. Also love the homeward and candle department. Store selection in Shewsbury is incredible

Yelp
How many people shop here and mutter, "In my dream house..." or most commonly, "If my bank account had more zeros..." PRO TIP: If you have to use the loo, ask for a Beautiful Sales Rep to organize it for you. It's on the second floor behind an unmarked door next to the elevator. You can't get in unless someone unlocks it for you. Time your pee break accordingly - it took a few minutes for one of the Beautiful Sales Reps to float her way over. Lots of expensive, gorgeous stuff here. I splurged on a lovely smelling candle that was on sale. I will only light it in my home if you are nice to me. Home goods and sale items are on the ground floor. Use the elevator if you have a hard time with stairs.
google avatar

Leah B.

Yelp
This Anthropologie is in a unique building--it appears as if a former church. Great selection, and the BHLD wedding dresses downstairs.
google avatar

Ella S.

Yelp
This location is stunning and you can smell their candle wall the minute you step through the door. I was immediately welcomed and asked if I was looking for something in particular. I said no because I was browsing for a birthday gift for a good friend of mine. The store is very orderly, but do keep in mind it has four floors so their are quite a feed steps. Housewares and BHLDN are in the basement and the top floor holds the sale items. All the employees were very kind and gave suggestions. The store was well stocked and not too busy. I ended up grabbing a couple clothing items for my friend and a little trinket container and dried lavender for myself. Pleasant experience!
google avatar

Danni L.

Yelp
Wow. This particular store is HUGE and absolutely gorgeous. There are 4 floors: 2.5 of mostly clothing, half of the first floor are accessories, and the basement is home essentials and bridal/formalwear. So they really have a nice selection of anything you need to buy. The staff is warm and receptive, the clothes are hip and trendy, and the rest of the store has super cute accessories/home decor that will add a nice touch to any home or apartment. They even have a large sales section on the top floor that is very reasonably priced. I'd definitely recommend coming to this store, if not for the shopping then at least for the views! This is now one of my favorite places in Rittenhouse and I will be coming back here again soon!

Yelp
Anthro is definitely one of my all time favorite stores EVER! Their entire collection of home decor, accessories, candles and clothes is so thoughtfully curated with a certain bohemian-esque, naturally chic, trendy, yet classic aesthetic. This location also carries bridal! And oh my goodness it is all so gorgeous! I adored my wedding dress but dang, I wish they had their BHLDN label available back then! Every dress is super romantic and feminine. They also have bridal lingere, swimsuits, veils, shoes and headbands. I always find myself drifting to this section when I'm shopping here. They politely ask me if I need help and I get embarrassed as I'm an old wifey at this point and quickly walk away with flushed cheeks. Brides, run here! I truly cherish every piece I purchase here. All so unique and definitely more special pieces versus run of the mill department store items that everyone will have. You just feel a little extra special wearing something form Anthro. I still have the 1st dress I ever purchased here and that was for the first wedding I attended with my husband, then BF 10 years ago! I'm definitely not one to hold onto clothes that long, but I still love it as much as the day I bought it. Anthro has also been know to collaborate with designers from all over the world! They partnered up with one of my favorites Mara Hoffman. You never what's around the corner.... Their housewares are possibly my favorite! Ordinary items absolutely beautifully designed. Kitchen Goods, planters, candles, linen napkins, throw pillows, comforters. It's all so lovely! Anything from here makes a truly lovely gift. In fact, I hit Anthro up every holiday season! Prices can be a bit much but really, quality is key. Customer service is top notch. You will be greeted the second you walk through the door. They will start fitting rooms for you so you don't have to carry your goods around. They communicate via walkie and will contact someone on another floor to help you find what you're looking for. They also offer personal shopping! As a former visual merchandiser for years I can certainly appreciate not only the ever changing amazing window displays, but the carefully merchandised products, as well as the seasonal displays! They are on top of everything! I mean I most recently visited on a Sunday then two days later and everything was fresh and re-merchandised. This building alone is absolutely STUNNING! For those who remember way back to the 90's this was the flagship location of Urban Outfitters, who is a sister to Anthro. I used to sneak down here in middle school and blow my entire allowance on one awesome item! From the entrance to the decorated elevator, to the spiral staircase, to the faux fireplaces, hanging mobile and stained glass Tiffany-esque rotunda! Wow! That space alone is worthy of a visit. Being situated across from beautiful Rittenhouse Square Park isn't too shabby either! If you're from out of town and have never been to this gorgeous location, I highly recommend it! Anthro, along with Free People, Urban Outfitters, BHLDN, and Terrain are all owned by the same company which goes by URBN. Their headquarters are right here in Philly! I absolutely LOVE this! In the last few years they moved offices from Columbus Blvd to a beautiful space in the Naval Yard. Their company is very laid back, allowing their employees to even bring along pups to work! So cool! I can certainly get behind a company like that! *If they don't have something you're looking for in stock they will ship it to your house free of charge. *Sign up for their emails. They run great sales around the holidays and their catalogs make for great coffee table browsing material.

Yelp
Shopping shmopping, there's a significant sales section on the third floor. The historical building itself is worth admiring from within.

Yelp
This store is wonderful!!! Please note this one star is for Anthropologie's online business. I received their face masks online and they were not the same prints as advertised online. I gave them 2 stars and nicely explained why I was disappointed. No swearing. No mean spirited review. Anthropologie still has not posted my review. Curiously, a 5 star review popped up 15 minutes after mine. When I thought I must have done something wrong in posting my review the site kept acknowledging that I made one. Poorly done Anthropologie! Very deceptive! I would have loved to have seen all the other "bad" reviews you failed to post because you disliked what was said.

Yelp
I am a long time Anthro customer, who even worked in this store around 17 years ago. I no longer live in the area and had not been to this store for several years. I was shocked and dismayed at how much the quality has gone down - both in terms of the items, and in the decoration and artistry in this particular store. Walking into this store used to be like a respite in the middle of the city - gorgeous and soothing. Not any more. This store used to have beautiful and artistic displays, and the clothes would be presented and styled with care, but now it just looks cheap and overcrowded. The jewelry in particular this season looks like something you would find at a mall kiosk. i was also shocked to find all the furniture is gone! Previously, the items from Anthro Home would be arranged around the store, creating a rich and cozy atmosphere - after all, this particular store did used to be someone's home. Considerable space is now taken up on one floor by a very bland-looking bridal section, completely devoid of any of the elegance that used to define Anthro. Also, no more lit candles around the store, which was always one of the hallmarks. I don't think I'll be back.

Julie J.

Yelp
This is a beautiful store at which I've had mixed experiences. The store itself is gorgeous- it's across from Rittenhouse park, beautifully decorated, organized nicely, and always smells like their delicious candles... When you walk in, the first floor is really inviting, with clothing, bags, beauty products, and candles. Downstairs is housewares and BHLDN (their bridal line). I would highly recommend making an appointment, even if you are just browsing for bridesmaid gear, because I went in once looking for just that and they were extremely unhelpful to me. I don't feel like they have the most friendly staff, but I don't let that deter me because they are a really busy location and they have a lot of foot traffic coming in and out. I feel sometimes their lines are long and you're left to wait around, but some of that is other customers being slow and unaware. The clothing is expensive, but they have a fairly robust sale section on the top floor that is usually discounted on top of the sale price. The dressing rooms are also very inviting and comfortable, well maintained, and clean. I don't think retail, especially in this location, is a simple task, and anthro does it well. I think I'd step up the customer service for the prices, but otherwise I do like this store.
google avatar

Yelp
If you like Anthropologie, you HAVE to visit the flagship store in Rittenhouse Square. It was an experience. I was derailed. Normally, I head straight for the sales section. No exceptions. Except this store is huge and I was repeatedly derailed by pretty, little things. There were 4 levels, including the basement. The top floor is bed, bath, and perfumes. The Anthropologie buyers have gathered a fabulous collection of delicious scents and knickknacks. The second floor has clothes and some stationary, including Orla Kiely. They also have Orla handbags. The first floor houses the cash registers, jewelry, and more clothes. I finally found the sale section on the ground floor along with more gorgeous chinaware, kitchen items, etc. This is definitely a boyfriend-friendly store. Even if you're not interested in the store's contents, you'd be amazed at how the store has used the original historic(?) building's layout and architecture to its advantage.
google avatar

Nika B.

Yelp
Love this Anthro location! The store is gorgeous -- 4 levels of clothing, beauty, jewelry and home goods. Great location -- the employees were nice and helpful as well. Lots of fitting rooms so you won't have to wait to try things on. I came in to return a few coasters and ended up grabbing a few cute things for myself! I'll definitely be back for sure!
google avatar

Pauline L.

Yelp
I am a long time Anthropologie customer and have often frequented this location with no problems but after my unsettling experience today I am not sure I will be returning. I came into the store planning to make a return so I had my item in an anthro bag, but before heading to the register I wanted to look around and see if there was anything to purchase. I don't usually pay attention to my surroundings that much when I'm shopping but it's hard to not notice when you are being watched. I was looking at the jewelry (located near the checkout line) and saw from the corner of my eye that the worker who welcomed me at the entrance kept turning back towards my direction as if she was watching me. Then when I moved upstairs and was trying on stuff in one of the mirrors two more workers passed by and "happened to" stop and stand behind/around me. I noticed this because I saw them frequently glancing/looking at me from their reflection in the mirror I was using. I know these people are just trying to do their job and be on the look out but I really didn't appreciate being made to feel like I was a criminal. It didn't make for an enjoyable shopping experience and also made me feel like I was being flagged just because I had an anthro bag in my hand or maybe because of the way I looked?! If holding an anthro bag in the store is such a threat then have customers leave their bag at the counter but don't make your workers stalk them around the store. It's insulting. This store needs to train their workers to be a little less conspicuous when they are trying to monitor for shop lifting so they don't end up alienating more customers.
google avatar

Jaimee A.

Yelp
This was a very cute Anthropologie. They had a petites section which no other Anthro I have been in has had. The layout is a bit odd. It is on 3 floors weirdly spread out. The sale area is nicer than most. The fitting rooms are in an out of the way area. The staff is super friendly. All in all a nice shopping experience.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
My favorite clothing store but this flagship store is in a beautiful historic building. 4 floors of beautiful things to see. Check out the main floor, east of the cashier.
google avatar

Michael T.

Yelp
This is a great ambience, great store and location! However, the variety of items was just not my style. I generally like anthro for their uniqueness and fashion forward style but this one I felt was not really that great. Ambience - 5/5...really great overall Clothing choices- 1/5 sorry but I just couldn't find anything Bottom line...come in for the fun ambience...clothes and home selection could be improved
google avatar

Ivana S.

Yelp
1. I am a frequent Anthropologie shopper. To say the least, this is NOT my favorite location. 2. Last time I shopped from this location, a security device was left on my sweater and embarrassingly went off while I was walking out the store with my PURCHASE. Shortly after the device is removed with ZERO apology. 3. Racial Profiling - when you're a frequent Anthropologie shopper and spend hundreds of dollars at this location, the stares and feeling as if someone is watching you is appalling and played out. This is why I will not be spending my money here.
google avatar

Alisha S.

Yelp
This location has definitely made me a big time Anthropologie lover! Not only does the store have just about everything I could want, but it is just gorgeous both on the outside and inside. A short stairwell will lead you up to the entrance, and there you will find yourself four floors full of clothing, jewelry, accessories, and home decor to browse through (don't be alarmed about the four floors - they have an elevator if necessary!). The store is organized very well so you know exactly where to go to for what. The friendly staff will also gladly help you with that which leads me to my next point... Staff is so sweet and helpful. Aside from their initial "hello", they won't really come to you unless you go to them first. I personally really appreciate that because I get very bothered when I'm constantly hounded by staff when trying to shop! I will definitely be keeping Anthropologie on my list of places to stop at whether I'm doing some retail therapy of my own or buying holiday gifts! :) Ps, if you're looking for some good deals, check out the fourth floor! Their clearance isle never lets me down!

Connie T.

Yelp
I purchased a t-shirt at half price without trying it on. I was on vacation for a week and didn't try it on until i returned home. The clerk left the black plastic 'thingie' on the shirt. Since i live an hour from the nearest store I called to see if I could send it it and they send it back. They refused to pay for the postage to the store. I find that ridiculous and SICK......that's corporate America for you. Their mistake and the customer pays for it! I would never treat a customer at my owner-operated store like that.....I would bend over backwards to make sure customer service is A-one. The manager had NO sympathy for me......she did not put the customer first.

Yelp
Within hours of Anthropologie moving into this beautiful mansion years ago, I was there sifting through the racks of frocks and caressing the housewares. Mine is a long-standing love affair with this store, which is packed with items that exude charm and a definite perspective. By far, my favorite Anthropologie department is housewares. From here, my first frilly retro apron came (more than 10 years ago, and it is still ticking). More recently, we acquired coffee mugs fashioned to resemble 1920's shaving mugs, beautiful hand-painted ceramic measuring spoons, and lovely brightly-glazed rice bowls. Here, one can find a diversity of housewarming and hostess gifts covering at a wide price range. Highly recommend.

Lori R.

Yelp
Beautiful store, and I love the clothes and the sales room upstairs. But avoid during the holidays as the lines to check out snake thru the entire first floor. Zero manager interest in hearing a complaint about this or finding a solution.
google avatar

Caitlin C.

Yelp
Four stars for uniqueness. Not five stars for ripoff. If you are into fashion/clothes and have money, then you will probably shop here and that's cool 'cause you have so much frickn' money it doesn't even matter. In fact, you could probably lose $100 on the subway and not notice. But if you are into fashion/clothes and don't work on Wallstreet, then you know InterMix, Scoop NYC and Anthropologie are all just feeding off consumers who like to elite shop without the research. Meaning: Antro has some really hippy/soft/beautiful threads, but so does Urban if you search. in fact, if you are right out of college with loans but still want to be chic and haven't yet developed an affinity for snobbishness, then you can find the same styles (more or less) and trends at Temptation, Nordstrom Rack or Zara. The craftsmanship and materials at Antro cannot be beat. But for $300 for a sun dress, I think I can take a few loose threads on a $80 dress from Zara.

Yelp
Even though the prices are out of this world as in $$$ the selection this year for the fall is amazing, cute and very "Mad Men" flavoring -my fav AMC show! They are now carrying these delicious light fragrances called Tokyomilk priced at $28 for 1 oz. (I suggest buying the sample pack which is only $49 online at http://theperfumedcourt.com/Products/TokyoMilk-Set-of-Eighteen-1ml-Samples__TOKYOMILK12SAMPLER.aspx) Also Lovin the selection of cute sweaters (see photo I added) with lots of layers, embroidery, buttons - soft material a plus. I ended buying the reading glasses tres cool by A.J. Morgan and getting them replaced with my prescription reading lenses. Only $28 for the glasses with "Modern Eye" styling. A deal! I also ended buying the cute lambs wool flapper style hat which covered my ears - a must for the winter. The clothing selection was to die for but over my budget. I'll have to wait till they go on sale or better yet; catch a consignment deal. Some trustfundian will surely get a gift she doesn't like and sell it at Green Street or Buffalo Exchange. Also a great place to catch J. Crew deals too! Why buy retail? Update: I bought those stupid samples. they are so small its not worth it. Just pick a few you like its a better deal.

Yelp
So Anthro has become a big monster these days and have lost all sense of customer service and their bottom line now is $$$. We returned some boots back in December after receiving them (since they don't have shoes anywhere now except online) and got the credit with proof of return... WELL, after 6 months, they decided to "misplace this information" and instantly charge the amount of the said boots with no explanation! After tracking down what the charge was all about, they still wanted proof of return from an email or tracking (mind you, this is 6 months ago!!!) (good thing we had screenshots of proof). Anyway, longer story shortened, communication and their inability to track their own merchandise provided unneeded headaches to get this money back, especially during this time of crisis. You lost two customers greedy anthro. TIP: if you already shop there online or otherwise, make sure you keep proof (photo or whatever) of any returns for at least 6-9 months. It will save you some anger and frustration, especially when it's not your own fault.

Yelp
Anthropologie is one of the beautiful buildings we have on Rittenhouse Row with an amazing staff to complete its look. Entering the building, you are ALWAYS greeting by a staff with a smile on their face, though it's mostly for security (Seriously shoplifters? Stealing is so not chic, but let me not get into a rant.) reasons, they are always quick to help you find what you're looking for with suggestions. I know how exhausting and sometimes horrible it is to work a retail job, so just showing me kindness after a long day of dealing with some horrible, uptight clients (this is Rittenhouse, so I'm not surprised) it goes a loooong way. There are four floors on this building so allow me to break it down for you: On the first floor, you have jewelry stacked up beautifully that they shimmer in the light and though they no longer have a petite section, a staff member took off the last extra small from a display just for me which I didn't even ask for! I was touched. They do give you an option to have it shipped to your house which is fine by me. In the back where the registers are, they have bath/beauty products which some allow you to try before purchasing. Second floor has a huge mirror surrounded by nicely displayed colorful cardigans/some books/skirts. The third floor is where you'll find a massive sale section that shows how much you're getting a steal for which has staff always organizing! It's never been messy in this building. This is where the changing rooms are also and yes ladies, there is a couch for your boyfriend/husband that is beautifully done so they won't complain while you shop and chatter with the helpful staff members that gives you tips to complete your wardrobe. They have a three way mirror so you can capture every single angle. Now, but not least, my favorite floor on the building: The basement. This is where my Heaven is. They sell candles/stationary/quirky birthday cards/bedding/coffee cups/kitchenware..did I mention candles that makes you melt and want to spend your 401k on all of it? It's spaced out perfectly so you can lose hours just going through each section, wondering if you do need those beautifully crafted coasters (you do, you do need those coasters) and to help you navigate, they do think of those who aren't able to go up and down those steps with an elevator that helps you on each floor. I look forward having Anthropologie for years to come in our neighborhood and so will you.

Yelp
I love the home furnishings section downstairs. It's a mix of antique, romantic and a dash of Tuscan style! I don't really care for the clothing styles they sell. The clothing is way to boho and everything looks like what that woman wore in the Christina's World painting by American painter Andrew Wyeth, in 1948. The staff/employees are super friendly and very helpful. That's worth it's weight in gold!

Yelp
One of my favorite stores for home goods. Love this location the most as it used to be the iconic Urban Outfitters years ago. Got to pick up a few gifts for some friends and some stuff for myself. Love the product and the service. They wrapped up all my gifts which gives me extra time to enjoy the holidays and less time wrapping.

Yelp
I love Anthropologie... probably a bit too much. I think this store has a variety of knick knacks, clothes, home accessories. This particular location even has a wedding section. I think the stairwell and the decor going up the stairs is beautiful!!! Their sale section located at the very top floor has a lot of clothes with home stuff to the right and beauty to the left. I did have a bad experience checking out, however. I was originally standing in line but it was too long so I decided to look around in their beauty section which is located right in front of the cash registers. It's a circular stand so obviously I was walking in a circle, but the cashier was rude and told me the line was back there. I just thought it was uncalled for, since I was still shopping.... I've had better service at the Anthro in Marlton, which is the only reason I wrote this review. I've been to both locations several times and enjoyed my shopping experience until this most recent time.

Yelp
First time ever walking into one of these stores. It is a mixture of bohemian chic and modern flare. I liked their clothing selection. What really drew my attention was home section. There were some interesting pieces, and owl bowl, foliage places, mini milk jugs etc.

Yelp
I recently relocated to a rural community from a large city, and have been ordering from Anthro frequently on line. I recently had an unbelievable and exasperating experience involving both their customer service support and shipping departments. A huge black security device on a cream colored sweater, that certainly should have been noticed and removed BEFORE it was even shipped to me, was still attached when it arrived. Customer service assured me I could return the sweater with a note requesting the security device be removed and the sweater be returned to me, which I did. Whomever accepted the sweater in the shipping department completely IGNORED my note written in red pen, and mistakenly issued a refund! I immediately sent another email pointing out the error that went unanswered. I sent additional emails as well as posted the error on their Instagram page. After spending far too much of MY time trying to ultimately get the sweater returned to me, I was finally informed that the sweater was NO longer available. They issued a promo code for me to place a future order. They apologized for the "inconvenience" and told me to "have a great day." I mean, really??? Thanks for nothing! Anthro has serious deficiencies in and lack of communication between their customer support and shipping departments. I suggest they invest in employee training.

Yelp
This is the only Anthro location I've been to and I love it. The staff are friendly, they always have a sale going on, and they are helpful. The place is clean, there is always staff for the dressing room, and sometimes you can see brides getting a fitting for their wedding dress downstairs! I can't say I shop here every trip, because it's more expensive than other stores, but for the quality, I'd say it's worth it.

Yelp
Imagine. It's early fall, the air is crisp. In a tiny bistro in the Marais, you are sipping a café-au-lait. Nibbling on a pain de chocolat, you are halfway through reading Ernest Hemingway's "The Sun also Rises". A lone accordion player is churning out tourist friendly tunes à-la-Edith Piaf nearby. Set scene... That is what Anthropologie sells. Dreamy, feminine, european, shabby-bohemian chic. From measuring cups, to bedding, soaps, upholstered furniture, shoes, books, undergarments, bags and apparel a-plenty - this flagship store offers to dress up your lifestyle from A to Z. It's hard not to swoon in this gorgeous historical corner property; an airy, well-lit perfect four floor venue in which they sell their wares. The store constantly reconfigures their product lines to keep it fresh and new. With the addition of more ample change rooms on the fourth floor, you can start on the basement floor (where they currently have all the sale merchandise in the back) and move your way up. They carry a wide range of designers (Nanette Lepore, Marimekko, odille, Tracey Reese, Moth, Ella Moss, Maeve, Fei, Moulinette Soeurs to name a few) with similar esthetics and price points. The visual merchandisers are always spot on with beautiful, innovative and fantastical displays. The background music is appropriate (they seem to like a lot of french and jazzy tunes) and most importantly their staff is friendly and attentive (and stylish, of course!) without being overbearing. The place is also perfect for a housewarming gift (basement floor for homewares). Few gripes: their inventory caters more towards the slimmer girl, so don't expect to find many sizes that accomodate the curvier woman. The sale section in the store is often a bit of a free-for-all and their shoe selection isn't kept well for the price that they charge even at a sale price. I usually go to this store on Monday or Tuesday evenings when I have the luxury to stroll around in peace without the crowds, gather armfuls of stuff to try on and hope that when wearing my potential wardrobe it will take me back to Paris.

Yelp
Of course the store is beautiful, the staff is super friendly and the clothing is fun, totally overpriced but we all keep going back, don't we?? I shopped on Dec 21 and the store was very crowded but all of the workers were extremely pleasant from what I observed. My biggest praise goes to the store manager . On the 21st I purchased a sweater but didn't try it on until I got home. It didn't work for me and I had lost my receipt so I called the store and took the time to go through the previous days transactions so that she could email me a copy of the receipt because I needed to return it at a different location. THAT is customer service!!

Yelp
I know it's silly to love a place where EVERY SHIRT is $100 and EVERY DRESS is $300, whether it's by Tracy Reese or some nameless gal in Guatemala, but I do. And the Philly store is the mothership! I get ants in my pants whenever I drive up to Philly, knowing no matter what I'll be heading to Walnut Street, whether it's pre-dinner, pre-club mess or the next day. It's four stories of overpriced bliss. I don't care, I always walk out of there feeling extra girly... and trust me a smoking, drinking, 30-something who still doesn't know how to put on make up the right way needs that from time to time!

Yelp
Damn you, URBN. I want to hate you so badly. Not only do you underpay my talented friends, most of your nigh-on disposable products are made by even more flagrantly underpaid people on other continents! Yet you continue to define the aesthetic of millions of design-conscious people. Including myself, le sigh. Though there are always new, covetable pieces by Urban Outfitter's youthful house brands, Anthropologie's soft-focus, post-preppy prettiness speaks to women of many ages and cultures. The day before Thanksgiving, that flurry of femininity kept the registers cha-chinging for hours on end. The fact that employee discounts are extended to card-bearing, photo-I.D. producing friends and family this week also had something to do with it, I suspect. This particular Anthro is housed in a historic Rittenhouse Square mansion and stuffed with women's apparel, accessories, hilariously spendy shoes, housewares, a lifetime's supply of scented candles and the famous Basement Sale Room. It's the first location I ever visited (when it used to be Urban years ago) and still my favorite. The perfect place to buy a gift for your favorite femme à la mode.

Yelp
Of all the Anthropologie stores in the country, this one's my favorite because of two reasons: the interior design/architecture and the sale section. The interior is like Alice In Wonderlad meets The Secret Garden. It calls to the inner girl in me that loves Disneyland and dainty things that sparkle. I love that it's on 4 split levels so it breaks up the space, but then my thighs feel the burn when I have to walk up the stairs (I call it my excercise for the week). The best part is the sale section. I've stopped looking at the other floors so I don't tempt myself with things I can't afford and go straight to the basement. My closet prized possessions have come from the sale section - 2 Moulinette Soeurs dresses for $40 each and a pair of seafoam green wedges for $30. It's my favorite because it includes not only clothes and shoes (the only Anthro store I've been to that has a sale shoe section), but also bedding, homewares, and knicknacks. It gets busy on the weekends, lots of snooty girls and their snootier moms for some reason. But whatever, I'll bust a cap for those pair of size 7 sandals thankyouverymuch. Note: The basement level doesn't get good cell phone reception. I found that out when the bf was trying to call me for an hour and got po'd when I didn't pick up. Meh.. small sacrifice.

Yelp
Erin in the bridal section went above and beyond to help me!!! She chose several dresses trying to fit my last minute accommodation while being calm and collected

Yelp
All Anthropologies are nice. This one has character. It even has a grand staircase. The Anthropologie building has a spiral staircase leading to many levels. It's like going through a home filled with many fabulous things and clothes to last a lifetime. Sigh. I'd love a closet this big. The displays are lovely from chalkboards with tea cup images built out of chalk to tables of wedges and coffee table books to tickle your fancy. The shirts and dresses are hanging on racks with space to breathe. The only spot where everything was crowded was in the basement sale area. I'll rummage through any sale. That's how you get the best deals. My $10 slacks were found on Rockefeller Center but here on Walnut I found the cutest bird shaped dispenser. I won't use it to hold food. I'm going to display it as a pop of color in my room. Plus the bird's bright yellow whistling face makes me happy. Anthropologie is the type of store that will make you ponder purchasing a $30 headband, inspire you to wear a French frock, and even turn you on to quilted blankets when clearly you are into silk. I love Anthropologie and I am in love with this location. They have an elevator with a couch in it. A couch! I thought secret couches were limited to Nordstrom bathrooms. Now us women have them in our elevators. It's too genius.

Yelp
The sales associates are unfriendly, stuck up, and rude. Every time I walk in, I never get greeted by a single associate. This makes me wonder if they are discriminating towards minorities seeing as I'm Asian and they are White. None of the workers there are Asian or Black. I'd like to see some diversity there. Mind you, I tried applying there and the way they treated me was again rude. To the Anthropologie management team: please consider hiring other employees of other ethnicities to encourage diversity and open-mindedness... your customers will thank you.
