Antica Cagliari Ristorante

This was maybe the best place we ate at in Cagliari! They only have two tables outside, and when we arrived, one was empty but had a "reserved" sign. The staff kindly checked the time and said, "They’re late – you can sit," which we really appreciated. The service was warm and attentive, and the food was absolutely excellent. Highly recommended!

Great food and ambience. Good service. Like the place as it has a bit luxury of luxury vibe and atmosphere even for lunch. No outside seating but still worthy. Very good choice of wine for my taste.

A wonderful gem of a restaurant in Cagliari. Their chilled lobster astice style is a steal at 45€, we devoured it. Everything was very delicious here. My only qualm is that the wine is very expensive and pumped up the bill. Service is polite and friendly. Reservations are essential.

The food was average at best. Some of the grilled cuttlefish tasted burnt. Despite the fact that we only got a seat on the 3rd day, and had thought that it must be good in such a busy restaurant, it was a complete disappointment. We won't be seeing each other again.

It’s a bit expensive but the food is nice. We had the fresh fried calamari which were a bit oily, but okay. Black ink pasta was okay as well. Highlight was the vongolle with bottarga which was very good. The service in general was really nice in the beginning, but then they just forgot about our table completely (we were sitting outside) and we had to get up and go inside to ask for coffees and the check.

Good food and service. We had a great seabass, however the sides were quite small. Tuna tartare was aslo quite good. I would say that the interior design was a bit outdated hence 3 stars, but its the case with many italian restaurants.

This was one of our best meals out. Food was incredible, atmosphere was great, location and venue is beautiful, the food and service did not disappoint. We were so happy to have found a great restaurant in the centre. Would highly recommend!

A MUST VISIT when in Cagliari!!! We hadn’t made a reservation but tried our luck, and the staff made it possible despite having an already full restaurant. They even gave us complimentary prosecco while we were waiting which was so unnecessary and sweet. We had our dogs with us as well and they even set up a water bowl for them before we sat down. They go above and beyond here!!! The food. THE FOOOOOOD…. By far, the best seafood pasta (fregola) I’ve ever had in my life. My husband had the fillet with green sauce and it was also to die for. The service is impeccable, they are all so genuine and accommodating. We will definitely be back . Highly recommended, phenomenal portions and beyond fair pricing.

Since it is in the most touristy part of the city I was expecting English speaking staff. That is not the case: we couldn't reserve a table at first because the waiter on the phone didn't speak English we could get one though the second time we called. The waiters couldn't describe the menu, couldn't help us because lack of basic language skills. They forgot to give us bread, water and a Coke (even though they tried to add the Coke to the bill). The food was average. I was expecting more based on the price tags.

The lobster pasta was delicious but not heavenly based on previous extensive experience in Italy. The restaurant is lovely though and would come back any time. Recommend the the Balari white wine

Food overall didn't disappoint, but wasn't one I'd say was what was expecting. The fish was good, and my wife's pasta was also good. Wine is affordable in most restaurants, I believe a bottle of white dry wine was $14 euro. The biggest screw up occurred when another couple and us got each other's meals at first. The screw up was kinda awkward, with no apology from the wait staff. That was probably what lost them the fifth star from us.

Nice location. Directly in the old town of Cagliari near the harbor promenade with its luxury shops. The service and the wine are good. Here you can not expect tyical Sardinian top food, you will not find it in tourist locations... But it is still upscale.

Lot of cute restaurants in via Sardegna. This one was ok. The bronzino al vermentino was well cooked but not particulalry tasty. I liked the seafood salad. It was fresh and not too acidic. Staff was ok. If you have a car, park at the port parking lots. The walk is literally 5 min.

Just an awful dinner experience all round. We are in Cagliari for a week and our first evening recommendation was Antica - big mistake! Express tourist location - our ravioli was industrial & luke warm, our medium steak was underdone blue, service was impossible to get and two items on the menu we wanted were not available don't go...

Loved this seafood restaurant. Wonderful mussels. Great seafood carbonara. Very reasonable wine and food. Delicious. Great service dessert of puff pastry stuffed with sweet s cheese. Seadus. Was fantastic the honey and orange flavor was unique and awesome great service. I loved this place. Make sure if you are cruising that you come here.
