Very special place in old Italian village. Very romantic and special garden with fruit trees. We had a beautiful big room on the first floor - very authentic details of the original building. Dinner was served in the hotel but was a bit disappointing. Not much taste and everybody ate at the same time (20 hrs) which gave a kind of catering feeling. Hardly local wines but expensive international wines which is not necessary in Sardegne and not very 'green'.

Quirky hotel full of character. Superb food. Set menu of 5 courses...of which you could add a wine pairing. Great wines. Good breakfast selection Quaint little town with some terrific views. ...part of our walking holiday

The service matched the stunning home-turned-boutique-hotel. We were thrilled with the architecture, art and meals. The rooms were comfortable, cool and had exquisite details. The meals were outstanding and the crew was excellent. We LOVED this place.

Such a nice hidden gem! A lovely hotel with a very nice restaurant as well. We loved the people working here and their attitude, the dinner and the breakfast were amazing, and the hotel itself is a true bijou! Highly recommended!

This charming and unique hotel was our home for the first two nights of a three week trip to Sardinia. It proved to be one of our highlights. We also booked via Dolce Vita as part of a hiking trip. We were welcomed by Lucilla on our first evening who was equally charming and spoke passionately about the family home, and the history of Sardinia. She also provided us with plenty of tips for our holiday. |The following fine dining experience was delightful, with delicious food, prompt service and fine wine. The next evening we wanted a simpler meal and were given directions to the local pizzeria, with food served to us in take-away cardboard boxes, at the single table and bench in a tiny room, with the oven crackling a few metres away. A complete contrast but we enjoyed the experience as we struggled to communicate to the two staff members in our very basic Italian. |Back at our accommodation, just reaching our room was adventurous, as we climbed stairs, exited the first house, crossed a cobbled street, entered the second house, walked through a courtyard, got distracted by the books in the library and climbed another flight of stairs. Our room was comfortable and spacious, with a view over the town. Lovely. |On our final morning we enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet outside in the courtyard, whilst I tried to capture the idyllic scene with my camera. We left feeling as though we'd discovered an authentic piece of Sardinia and have already recommended this special place to friends. We will certainly return.

Wonderful small family run guest house and restaurant in Santu Lussurgiu. Beautiful old buildings. Very quiet and secluded and so is this area! This is not a hotel so other travellers note what I am reviewing. Set menu for dinner. I dinned here twice, both times the food and dining experience were excellent. All staff from cleaning, kitchen restaurant and reception are very welcoming and friendly. Standard buffet breakfast but an extra touch is the selection of cake and cheese. Will definitely come back

Firstly, the restaurant is worth visiting even if you don't stay here. Set menu at 8pm. I ate twice, excellent food, wine, experience and service both times. If not raining, dinning in the courtyard is magical. Inside also beautiful. Staying here is tranquil, secluded and quiet. It is a family run guest house, not a five star hotel, so bear this in mind with this review and reviews by others. Santu Lussurgiu is a small beautiful country village in the mountains. The rooms in this guest house are in old houses and are exceptionally clean. The place has character and charm. There are a couple of relaxation areas including a small library. Excellent location within Santu Lussurgiu. Everything else within the village is a walk from here. Good buffet breakfast with the star being the choice of delicious cake

Absolutely lovely stay at this place. The rooms were beautiful, with balconies looking onto a very verdant courtyard where you have your breakfast and dinner if you choose to (a five course set menu which plays with local ingredients in the area and is good value for money). The staff were all incredibly friendly and made you feel very welcome. I would definitely recommend staying here!
