11 Best Places for Shopping in Venice | Condé Nast Traveler

"This bright little stationery shop in Campo Santo Stefano specializes in ebru, or paper marbling. But it also sells charming cards, notebooks, wrapping paper, and small accessories stamped with colorful Venetian designs. The marbled paper and "carte a stampo" prints—of notable palazzo architecture, botanical or geometric motifs, or even ducks and dachshund—lend themselves well to pocket-sized notebooks, notepads, and cards. But you'll also find frameable one-off prints layered with gold leaf, plus holiday ornaments and desk accessories." - Andrea Whittle

Really amazing shop and well worth a visit. A great range of products all hand made using different techniques and the owner kindly threw in a couple of bookmarks.

I have been coming to this store for years. Management change. The goods are still beautiful, but the new owner was so incredibly rude to my mother and my daughter for no apparent reason. My daughter bought a card but the experience was horrible. They lost a long time customer.

I happened by this lovely paper shop and noticed some beautiful things in the window. I am so glad I did, because it ended up being my favorite shopping find in Venice. The proprietor of the shop has been making traditional marble prints and gorgeous block prints for more than 40 years, and everything is just perfect. I walked out with a print suitable for framing for myself and a journal with a handmade block printed cover and 100% cotton Amalfi paper as a gift for a colleague. Venice is not as well known for stationary as Florence, but this quaint shop run is far better than the many stores I visited in Florence. A gift from this place is elegant and understated- skip the garish Murano glass and mass produced masks and pick up some gifts here, instead.

Yelp
A gem of a stationary and paper goods shop off the major tourist path in Venice. The shop opened in the 1970s and is still manned by the original owner, a lovely, classic gentleman. There is a wide array of stationaries, journals, prints, and handmade Amalfi paper. The owner reintroduced traditional marble printing to Venice, but his block prints are also beautiful. An ideal spot to find some tasteful gifts that are easily transported, useful, and not the usual, garish masks or blown glass. Venice is less known for stationary than Florence, but this is a finer shop than any that I visited in Florence. I think this is my favorite find from my 10 days in Rome, Florence, and Venice.
