Antica Locanda Mincio

Michelin 2021. Italian authentic ristorante with great variety of cuisines and long list of local and global wine selection. Beautiful outdoor and indoor seating. Good for any group size, kids, and seniors. All dietary covered. Outdoor is accessible. Large paid parking lot only accepting coins for €2/hr.

Very nice terras under the trees, hidden from the blistering sun and with a lovely view on the river Mincio with its sounds from the small cascades and the old town. The staff put in all the effort to serve and advise us on their menu. Even though they were closing between 2 shifts, they let us empty our glasses in all tranquility. The evening shift would make out table clear. But we saw where they put their laundry/table cloths so we did it our selfs as a token of respect. We had the suggestion of 4 kinds of tortellini which is a speciality of the village. Very tastefull!

The atmosphere is over 5 star, especially the tables by the river. Food was great, I ordered duck ravioli with truffle, which went well with local white wine. Service was okay, but don’t expect much. Just relax and enjoy the food and the view

It was a warm July day and after visiting the local fortress we decided to stop in the cool shade of beautiful trees standing behind the bridge over the river… white tablecloths gently flopping in the wind, lots of attentive waiters that were always smiling, amazing food and wine and most importantly an atmosphere of those good old times, that can be barely found in today’s world. I’m not surprised that Margaret Thatcher came back multiple times. Thank you, it was a beautiful experience, I’m sure we will be back. You’re amazing.

Lucky to visit such a beatiful location early season in April. Unique historic place and then be seated at a table at river Mincio with a view, with good food and services. We did of course their homemade tortellini and the fish (believe it was a river Bass, a local catch).

Great experience, fantastic settings under the trees by river Mincio. Food was exquisite, I had the duck filled ravioli with tartufo nero, and it was exquisite. The cremino as dessert was excellent as was also the tiramisu. Good service, waiters were friendly and recommended some dishes and wine that were truly worth trying. Will certainly come back.

We had a wonderful experience! Special thanks to Bianca, the lovely staff member who welcomed us so warmly. The service was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious — everything was perfect! We also really appreciated the kindness of the owner and her husband, even though we didn’t catch their names. The food is halal, which is a huge plus. Highly, highly recommend this place to everyone!

This restaurant was the highlight of our time in Italy. SUCH a find. A gorgeous location by the river, shaded by a cathedral of trees. The food was out of this world. One of those meals we will talk about for a long, long time.

We were trying to decide on where to go for tortellini in Borghetto (WiFi in this tiny town sucks), when we got a whiff of the amazing smell of brodo coming from Antica Locanda Mincio. There were supposed to open at 12:30pm for lunch, so we queued up since it was only 12:20. They didn't open until 12:40, but it was worth the wait (and we got an amazing riverside table to boot)! We got both the tortellini brodo dish and the one with sage butter. Both were amazing. Pro tip: if you have any broth left, drop some of the buttered ones in there and you get double yumminess!! Besides the view, our server was nice and spoke English. Inside the restaurant was a pretty interesting antique decor. It wasn't a cheap lunch, but one pays for the view ;) We got a half bottle of local wine, salami plate, 2 tortellini dishes, and 2 cappuccinos for 60 Euros.

The best Tortelini in the world. Great seating area with stuning views. This is a hiden gem!
