I can not recommend this restaurant enough-- for me, it was one of those meals you look back on for years to come and remember for so many reasons.
I visited Arezzo with a group of my friends from Spain during our Easter holidays, where we stumbled upon Antica Osteria L'Agania by chance-- we were starving, saw a few good reviews online, and happened to be around the corner. We had a wait, but not too long. Once we were seated, we quickly looked through the menu and made our choices-- one friend tried the wild boar since it was a Tuscan specialty, but I saw truffle pasta and my mind was made up. It was a super simple dish, but done so, so well that I can still remember how it tastes today.
Along with the food, the great (and inexpensive) house wine, the desserts, and the brisk but friendly service just created an unforgettable experience, without seeming geared towards tourists or catered to foreigners. Don't miss this spot!
