This has been our favourite hotel in Italy. The rooms are beautiful and the breakfast was good. I left a backpack on the bus from Florence and Elisa the host rang the bus company to try to get it back without me asking her to.

Absolutely delightful stay at this property. The room was clean and adequate, bathroom had all necessities provided. Breakfast had a daily changing menu with varieties of bakes, fruits, etc. Elisa is very warm and is always eager to help answer your queries. All other staff members are warm and welcoming.

I honestly don’t know how anyone gave this hotel a 5-star rating. The staff was excellent and the location is great—but you need to know you’re basically staying at my grandma’s house in the early 1970s. Not just because of the thin gold bedspread on a four-inch-thick, stiff, old mattress, but also because of the smell, the itchy sheets, the flat rock-hard pillows, and the tiny shower. Seriously, the shower in our suite was smaller than the one in our 25’ RV.|If this hotel would just invest in new mattresses, sheets, pillows, and comforters, the rest of the antique furniture and vintage vibe would actually be charming. Even the tiny shower would be forgivable if we’d had a good night’s sleep.|Also, be aware the room faces a fairly noisy street, so don’t plan on opening the windows for fresh air. And for some reason, our AC stopped working on the second night.|Bottom line: Call before you book. With any luck, they’ll have updated the sleeping situation and handled the “grandma” smell—then it could really be a great place to stay.

We loved staying at this B&B. Elisa & Ilaria were very welcoming and helpful. The room felt very authentic, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent & we liked the lounge area where we could make our own drinks. The air conditioning was a welcome bonus as it was quite hot at night. |The B&B was in an excellent location for exploring Siena. It was a perfect stay and we would recommend it.|Thank you Elisa & Ilaria.

Wonderful Stay in the Heart of Siena We stayed at B&B La Cicogna with my family for the Strade Bianche race and absolutely loved it. The location is perfect – right in the historic center of Siena, in a charming building full of character and history. Our room had beautiful frescoes, and it was very clean and comfortable. The staff were incredibly kind, always available, and made us feel truly welcome. They even prepared breakfast very early for us before the race. There’s also a bike room, which was perfect for the event. A warm, elegant, and well-organized place – we were 100% satisfied and can’t wait to return!

Unforgettable Stay in Siena I stayed a long weekend at B&B Il Giglio with my cycling friend and her family to participate on the epic Gran Fondo Strade Bianche 2025 and had a fantastic experience. The location couldn’t be better – right in the historic center of Siena, very close to the Piazza del Campo. The building is full of historical architectural details that give it a unique and authentic feel. My room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated, and spotless. It had a cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The staff was very welcoming, always friendly and helpful with recommendations. Breakfast was delicious and prepared each morning, with local specialties and fresh coffee. We could make use of a special bike storage room that was made available specifically for the bike event. A peaceful, elegant place with a personal touch – I was very satified with my stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Charming B&B in the heart of Sienna. Lovely historic building, well restored with beautifully decorated rooms ( check out those ceiling paintings). Just around the corner from il Campo on a quiet street. Elisa and Illaria are excellent hosts and guides. Elsa evn rescued us when our car GPS failed to get us to proper parking.|One of the best values we experienced in our two week travels in Tuscany- a real gem
