Antica Residenza D'Azeglio

The location has Charme and soul, superbly suited for our city trip to Bologna. It is located very close to the old city center. Nice rooms with an own signature. Our host was very friendly and extremely helpful, always having good advice our recommendations. We have stayed in many B6B around the world as we like the more private atmosphere. But this one is surely among the best we booked so far.

I am determined to get back here. This is a real, Italian and personable place. This is not an international brand hotel with a coffee maker and interchangeable decor. The landlord, Agostino, is a living treasure. The rooms are idiosyncratic and comfortable, there is tourist info everywhere, and there is wifi. I suppose they have cable but never turned the TV on: there was no reason!

Very nice Gentleman running it. Very affable and friendly. Quirky and cool decor. I liked the place, only flaw is that the breakfast choice not Very exciting.

I havent stayed, but made a reservation by phone on the same day for 2 nights and said we would arrive around 18:00. We called back telling it will be 19:00 because of some delay and got a very agressive and unfriendly answer because we would be 1 hour later. Totally unacceptable as a hotel. We are the guests and we should not get the feeling that we are „the problem“.

This was a wonderful find. We enjoyed Bologna very much and this property was excellent and an incredible value. Our host, Roberto was brilliant and very chatty and helpful. He's a lovely guy and you can tell he has a long history in the industry and he was very flexible. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. We found the Bed and Breakfast very quiet which was perfect for sleeping. The thick walls repel sound. Breakfast was plentiful and Roberto had great recommendations for dinner. The price was outstanding - there were a lot of expensive hotels available but this was very very affordable and clean and a real gem. I'd absolutely stay here again. The only thing to watch out for is it’s about a 25 minute walk to the train station (a 5-7 minute taxi ride) but it was no problem for us. If you are reading this then you've already found the right place to book. It’s wonderful. This really helped make our holiday wonderful. We loved Bologna.

Agostino is a excellent host. He’s interested in people and places, friendly, kind, and very knowable. The room was large, beds very comfortable and the bathroom ok. There was also complementary fruitplatter and water from the host at the room, which was also equipped with minibar, hairdryer, the and a lot of information about Bologna and Italy. Perfekt location, close to Piazza Maggiore and easy to get around.

Our room was very big and with excellent decoration, very clean, with housekeeping every day. The beds are very comfortable and linen brand new. It is located in the centre of Bologna, five minutes walk from Piazza Majore and all major sites. Mr. Agostino is a great host,very helpfull and he welcomed us with a bottle of wine. He also offers very nice breakfast. |Overall, it exceeded our expectations.

Just amazing. This hotel was an absolute delight in so many ways. It has an old Italian fashioned style and is quirky. It’s on the second floor of a very secure apartment building close to the centre of Bologna. There is a lift but we mostly used the stairs. When you enter you are hit with the “antica” style. The rooms are wonderful. The beds large and comfortable (the best sleeps we had on our long European trip). So quiet. Good bathrooms. We had a fantastic balcony rather than a larger room. The breakfasts were great too. Finally Agostino, the owner, is second to none. So helpful, so friendly. I will definitely recommend him and his hotel to my family.
