We had an amazing stay here. The rooms and facilities are impeccable. The spa, pool and sauna/hammam have epic views and is truly luxury. The restaurant downstairs served lovely food including breakfast (we also had dinner here), enjoyed it thoroughly. Didn’t fully appreciate it at booking but the hotel owns half of the top half of the town, with sweeping Mountain View’s. Would definitely come back

Torre del nera is an amazing hotel situated in the small village of Scheggino in the Nera vally. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the view is an amazing green valley with a flowing river. This place is unique and off the beaten track even for Umbria (although it is about 20 minutes from Spoletto). I think the value for money here is great. and the staff is lovely and attentive. I just loved it and hope to come back soon. <3

We stayed here for two nights in September before our wedding. This hotel is a hidden gem within Umbria. The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are comfortable. The spa was also a great experience! The two downsides are 1. Going back to the hotel room at night requires you to walk up a steep hill in the dark. 2. The restaurant food for dinner was just average. We enjoyed the restaurants at the bottom of the hill much more for lunch and dinner. Breakfast was great though!

We stayed here for a couple of nights during a walking holiday in Umbria. The accommodation was great - both rooms were really distinctive and characterful while also delivering all the facilities we needed.

A wonderful place! This is the second time I spend my holidays in Scheggino and in Torre del Nera and each time I come here I fall in love for this place. I had the apartment “Bruschino” twice and I felt back home in some way. The hotel is well organised, the apartments are charming, extremely clean and well equipped with also the fireplace with wood to light the fire. The Spa is a small jewel in the town with Ms Chiara so kind. The lady and the staff at the breakfast restaurant are wonderful, they are representing what hospitality really means. This is the right place if you love nature, medieval time, coziness and a real local experience.

An absolutely wonderful experience. You can feel the medieval vibe yet the accommodations are charming and modern. The staff were most welcoming and the restaurant breakfasts were delicious. The location is lovely and situated on a hill with breathtaking views. Nearby are easy hikes, cute towns and a beautiful stream. All in all a very magical experience.

We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a group trip. The hotel was charming, clean and the facilities were very good. The restaurant’s breakfast menu and dinner were delicious and well prepared. ||The staff were very helpful and friendly. We didn’t use the Spa or swimming pool but if we’d stayed longer we would have made use of these facilities.

We visited the restaurant last night with some good friends. The restaurant is a lovely place to be and the food was marvellous. It is slightly more expensive than we pay normally ( we spent 45 euros each on three courses and wine) but everything was delicious and very fresh. Many English groups go walking in the Valnerina, and we would recommend the restaurant for a lovely meal, friendly staff and good value. They have rooms so that people can stay as well. Scheggino is a delightful place to visit. It includes the Urbani truffle museum, several restaurants and a shop and lovely walks all around. We had the truffle pasta , a 'porchetta' of rabbit, the beef and the fish, amongst other things. Everything was beautifully presented and delicious!
