This trattoria has a classic vibe, with pure and typical Milanese cusine. This is a Milan highlight for me. Authentic and delicious food, impeccable service. The servers are all career waiters, older men (I say this time and time again, best sign), and I was blown away by the attention to detail, every detail of the interiors and utensils were beautiful. You can tell everyone who worked there takes pride in what they do. The tortellinis, with ricotta cheese and spinach, with butter and sage are such a simple dish and so so well done. The gnocchi with gorgonzola cheese are a plate for those who enjoy a good strong in palate dish, even though amazingly balanced. And I recommend to book much in advance!!!

Excellent Milanese cuisine in a very charming historical setting. Tables are set with monogrammed linens and silver. Dishes are brought to the tables on a cart by the waiters. Recommended to us by a local, the Antica Trattoria Della Pesa, was a a wonderful choice for lunch. An opportunity to enjoy great food and timeless elegance.

The excellent food alone deserves 5 stars, but the refined old school atmosphere and exceptional service takes this dining experience to a sublime level. We looked forward to our lunch here after talking to with a local and asking for a dining recommendation. She was very enthusiastic about looking it up on the map for us so she could share one of her favorite restaurants in Milan with us. We wish we could personally thank this stranger for such a lovely recommendation. We started with Prosciutto di Parma, it was delicious. Then I had the Gnocchi verdi al gorgonzola, a truly wonderful dish. I can’t recall the name of what my wife ordered but it was an excellent stuffed pasta with sage and butter I believe, a delightful combination that was a joy to taste. This restaurant is not cheap but it is worth the money for a very pleasurable dining experience.

Google
a true traditional Milanese spot. must hit if you want to savour authentic flavours. get the risotto alla milanese or riso al salto for something more rare, without doubt get the costoletta alla Milanese.

This restaurant is located near Corso Como and represents a pillar of Milanese traditional kitchen and flavors. The signature dishes are risotto alla milanese, with saffron and parmesan, also with beef meat and bones. There are also good appetizers like ham, salami and other typical Italian. The service is quick and very expert. The price is relatively high, but definitely deserves a try.

Before coming to Milan, read several articles and watched a few YouTube videos on the best restaurants for local Lombardian/Milanese cuisine. This place was mentioned in every single one and did not disappoint. Be prepared for Milanese Viel, Saffron Risotto and various other cuts and chops. A must visit when in Milan in my opinion.

The food is classic Milanese with incredible risottos and ossobucco. The fried saffron risotto was unique

I love eating at Antica Trattoria della Pesa in Milan. It’s an authentic and charming dining experience steeped in tradition. The restaurant’s vintage decor and cozy atmosphere transport you back in time, enhancing the enjoyment of classic Milanese dishes. The ossobuco with risotto alla Milanese and cotoletta are insane. The menu showcases the best of Northern Italian cuisine. The attentive service and high-quality food make each visit memorable. The exceptional culinary experience and nostalgic ambiance make it well worth a visit for those seeking traditional Milanese flavors in a historic setting .

Yelp
Walked into the restaurant but was very busy so they asked if we minded to go around the corner to their bistro (same menu). Waiters were very helpful with the Americans poor attempts at Italian. Osso Bucco was amazingly tender and with a super rich saffron rice was the hit of the night. We love anything pounded out thin and fried but this was a bit on the dry side, but much better when eaten with the delicious potatoes. Would certainly come back but too many other places to try. If you like/love osso bucco you should try theirs!

Yelp
First off I have to say this is one of the most incredible experiences of my life. My chef took me to the market where we could pick out food to cook. I have never seen a market like this so fresh and food so available chef was extremely knowledgeable and we tasted all the fresh foods. The market was so amazing, we went back through a second time! We walked through the streets of downtown Milan Italy to her flat where we made fresh pasta, had a wonderful meal and delicious dessert of tiramisu. Her flat was so comfortable and cozy. It made you feel like you were cooking at home. Chef Sandra was a great chef and hostess, and even shared her recipes with me. I would highly suggest this amazing opportunity to all of my friends. Thank you chef Sandra.

Yelp
We had been given the names of two traditional Milanese restaurants, and we tried both... This one was slightly more traditional and maybe slightly better than the other (you'll have to stalk me to find out the other!) We started with a couple of non traditional Milanese antipasti - the carciofi salad and the eggplant parmigiana - both were absolutely fantastic. I had the risotto milanese which was probably the best I've ever had and my husband got the osso bucco - again, totally traditional and fabulous. We were able to pair with a "local" Lombardia wine at a pretty reasonable price. Finished off the meal with the zabaione - which seemed to be something everyone was getting (when in Rome... or Milan...) So if you are headed to Milan and want a traditional Milanese meal - definitely make a reservation here! You'll be sorry if you don't!

Yelp
My favorite spot in Milan. Casual yet quality service and food, everyone always loves whatever they order. I get the same thing every time because it's that good! Short pasta with tomato basil. Friendly staff!!

Yelp
I was a little concerned due to some of the reviews claiming this place is a tourist trap, I'm glad to say they are dead wrong. Truly traditional Milanese cuisine executed perfectly from start to finish. Prices are slightly above the local average (which is low to begin with if you are visiting from any coastal US metropolis), however I feel they are justified.

Yelp
Two "traditional" Milanese restaurants were on our schedule. This was by far the best. Its a small busy restaurant. Open since 1880 and lots of the decor indicate it. Service was spot on - welcoming but not fondling. I started with a garlic gorgonzola bean soup that was terrific. Then a great osso bucco. Dessert was a caramel custard with berries. All with excellent regional Italian red wine. Good solid food and perfectly prepared.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat on my recent trip to Milan. For my 100th review of the year I wanted to pick a special place to review! Hooray! The food is absolutely incredible here. We made it after a day of work at the Monza F1 racetrack. We came in and were seated to a large table in the middle of the room. The setting is old-world Milan. Think 1800's. Beautiful oil paintings on the wall. Antique furniture. Such ambiance! We started with a plate of prosciutto. To complement it, we had a bottle of CA' del Bosco Curtefranca red wine (a blend of Cabernet, Carmènere, Merlot, Barbera and Nebbiolo). Next, for round one, I had the most fantastic homemade pasta. I wish we could do it like this in the states! For the main dish, I devoured the steak fillet tossed in a balsamic glazed over greens. Holy Cow! One of the best dishes I've ever eaten! So good!! Finally, to round out the dinner, we ordered dessert. I opted for the lemoncello, since they were sold out of the zabaglione. Next time, right?! It was sweet and tart but all in a good way. If you ever make it to Milan, this is a must stop restaurant!

Yelp
Food was delicious. Service good, a bit slow. One waiter for 20 people. But he was pleasant and helpful. . A little crowded and overpriced as it is a key tourist location.

Yelp
Big restaurant serving excellent Italian food for a challenging price! The restaurant is big and get noisy when crowded. The food is really good and the service is really good too even if they are not really speaking English. The boss is really friendly and speaks English, he translated the entire menu for us and recommended really good wine for a reasonable price.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to me by a local Italian taxi driver. He was right. Everything was delicious. We had Caprese with buffalo mozzarella and Grilled Vegitables as appetizers, and pasta dishes Spinach Gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce and Fettuccine with lots of porcini as the main. Everything tasted like what I expected.

Yelp
Very good homemade pastas and a better than average wine list. Service was friendly and helpful. What you expect from a Trattoria in Milan. Quaint, not rushed and a memorable meal!

Yelp
I was there yesterday. Shall I comment for my American fellows or for the Italian friends? First of all, I hate reviews based on price. Was it good or not. Well nothing special. I was back again tonight. I shall take one star off down to two

Yelp
If you are looking for an authentic milanese experience, this place is your place. I had the pleasure to come with some collegues during Expo time and I want to surprise them with speciality of north Italy, not very famous abroad. Ossobuco, risotto alla milanese and typical Lombardy's starters were just perfect.

Yelp
American living in Italy here. My Milanese friends wanted to take me for a traditional and nice italian meal. It was just that and wonderful. I had a salad appetizer (don't remember it's name) and then the veal kidney main. The salad was amazing it was just some sort of green with a salty (I think fish) topping it. So yummy. The veal kidney was a new experience for me. I don't know if It was the preparation or just how kidney's are but it was gross. Just remember what functions a kidney does.
