|We knew the Antico Borgo di Sutri as a very nice hotel, a beautiful wedding location and a good restaurant. The renovated the restaurant recently and apparently have a new chef, who transformed the cuisine a major step upwards. The quality and presentation of the Amuse Bouches compete already with many Michelin starred restaurants. It went on with an interpretation of Vitello Tonnato, two spectacular “primi” (one containing tortelli with a liquid Parmesan core – which is difficult to make) and an excellent lamb under a crunchy crest. A pre-dessert again presented in style of a Michelin star and an incredible dessert in a superb balance of sweet, slightly salty and crunchy elements concluded a remarkable dinner. Not to forget the Petit Fours, which were almost a little "after dessert".The wine list is very interesting and– we should not say this too loud – very moderately calculated. In an area not overly rich in really good restaurants, this is truly a shining star
