It's amazing, and lives up to the reputation. It's worth the walk, just EAT HERE! A variety of Pastries and Pizzas, along with local craft brews and wines. Good Value, and friendly service. (they speak English!) Family friendly staff go above and beyond. I recommend the Cheese or Garlic pizza and the Ragu Lasagna (Classico). Just a knock-put place to take a rest. There is also a restroom on site.

Stopped here for breakfast and decided to try their pizza too. Ordered the caprese Pizza and so glad I did. Truly delicious pizza and so affordable. Must try if you’re around

Delicious food! Pistachio croissants and suppli to dye for! Amazing customer service. It's our second time here in two days. Very reasonably priced. Will be back on our next visit to Roma! Grazie Team Forno

A real "forno" serving pizza, pastries, cornettos and all the delicacies you can think of from morning till late. The place is still in the original way as it should be, small tables and wonderful service. It is located in the heart of Monti where you can have your breakfast and start your day in Rome.

This is a nice place for a quick bite. We had a slice of pizza which is priced by weight. We also had a cannoli and a panini. The cannoli is good.

Delicious pizza, we ate for two people (two pieces of pizza warmed up plus a small baked good for dessert) and it came out to 9.40€ for the both of us. Super quick as well. Would recommend for after visiting the coloseum!

We had our breakfast here everyday while we were staying nearby for our 5-day vacation in Roma. Everything was delicious: pizzas, sweets, bread… The coffee was great too. And people who served us were very nice. Thanks and go on!

Antico Forno Serpenti was one of the best discoveries during our trip to Rome. We loved it so much that we went back for breakfast a second time, and we’ll definitely return if we visit Rome again. The service is absolutely outstanding. Maximiliano and his team are some of the kindest and most attentive people we’ve met. They truly made the experience special. The food was incredible. The focaccias with mortadella were delicious, and the Sicilian cannoli were the best we found in all of Rome—they’re a must-try. I also really enjoyed the Aragostini and the cheese, ham, and courgette Twisters. Everything was fresh and full of flavour. On top of that, I was so happy to have pear juice here, something that sounds common, but I rarely find it in the UK. It’s a small detail, but it made the visit even better. Antico Forno Serpenti is cosy, welcoming, and serves amazing food with exceptional service. Thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful experience!

This place is just wonderful!!! You can choose from a ton of different things crusted Roman pizzas and pastries. Everything tasted absolutely amazing and the service is great! Coffee is selfserved from a machine. The place is so cute with little tables. Loved it here!

Tried the pizza and a cappuccino. The cappuccino was nothing wildly special (you get your own from the machine in the back), but the pizza was lovely. Was warmed up after I ordered and was perfectly melted and crispy. There's not a ton of seating, but I lucked out and snagged a spot as some people walked out - gets suuuper busy.

The food and service are excellent!! Alim was cheerful and attentive and this place is highly recommended!

Fast, good, and friendly. We got two supplì, some pizza and a prosciutto cotto and cheese rusticò. Can't say anything bad definitely recommend!

Go here and get the Roma pizza (just sauce). And anything and everything else they have. This was my favorite pizza in all of Italy. I wish I had realized that before I left Rome. Seriously.

We ate lunch at a nearby restaurant, but the pastry case looked so beautiful I had to stop. I'm so glad we did. I asked the lady at the counter what her favorite sweet was and she said the apricot tortino di pasta frolla (basically a shortbread crusted pie). IT WAS SO DELICIOUS! We were eating and walking but turned around to go tell her how tasty the pie was. Definitely stop in for a treat, and ask what's good. You will not regret it.

We popped in just for a coffee and treat just to try - it was Absolutley beautiful food, I had their pizza and it was the best we have had during our trip which I wasn't expecting for a modest cafe, we can't wait to come back for more. Staff was super friendly and welcoming.

This place is pretty touristy because of the location but the food was pretty good. Pizza is ordered by the weight and they also have lots of pastries available as well as beer and coffee. My husband and I shared a slice of pizza and it held us over until dinner. I think there is seating outside on the street which was fun too. If you're in the area, try it.

If you love, good food, this place doesn't disappoint!! The Greek salad was so so delicious!! with goat cheese, cherry tomatoes and thinly shaved, red onions along with olives and cucumbers. We also ordered a (four cheese pizza) fromage was in the name. It wasn't one of the square pieces from the display case. It was a round, freshly made pizza. It was SO GOOD!! The crust was crispy and the cheese was really good. We came back and had the pizza two more times doing our short stay. With all the good food in Rome, that's saying something!! The people were friendly, and the service was good. Great place for a quick delicious meal.

The smell from the street drew us in. After a hectic ordering process, we had our apple and chocolate pastry. It was good, but didn't blow us away. We mistakenly assumed a bakery would have good coffee--false! Why are there even coffee machines in Italy? So subpar.

Quick and easy stop for a light meal or snack going to or coming from the colosseum. During the day, they have a fresh menu you can order from, but we came in the early evening when they just had pre-made food available. This included some baked items and pizza by weight. The pizza was freshly crisped up in the oven and piping hot when we received it. It was really good. We liked the one with grape tomatoes the best because it tasted the freshest and cheesiest. The suppli was not very good. It wasn't fresh so maybe that was the problem. The inside was not flavorful and the mozzarella wasn't melted well. Service was OK, not too friendly. We don't speak Italian but got by fine.

Owner was very friendly especially since we were tourists and couldnt speak the language. Had the most wonderful salmon lazagna and blueberry pastry. Quaint little restaurant. Even other Italians were friendly to us there. We have been disappointed overall with the unfriendlness of the Itailians in Rome. This place was the friendliest place during our stay. Great food and would recommend to others.

Randomly walked into this place near the colosseum. Food was a lot better than I was expecting. Pizza was heated up, the crust was light and crispy with zesty sauce and toppings. Pastries were great. Tasted fresh and homemade from scratch. I love that a lot of the pastries and pizza you can pick the portion size and pay by the weight. Their prices were very good as well. As an example one euro for one cold bottle of water.

Their pastries are stale and hard even though it was only 10am. Coffee is self serve and from a machine. Stay away from this place.

This place was around the corner from our airbnb so we decided to give it a try. The only pastry (and we tried a few) that was worth coming back each day: a buttery croissant looking pastry with powdered sugar on top and pistachio cream filling. This was AMAZING, but it sells out early in the day! All other pastries were 'meh' and the lady that helped us each time was super rude. She really could not care less. I would give the pistachio cream filled pastry 5 stars alone, but the service of the attendant each time was certainly off-putting and the fact that they sell out early and don't make more throughout the day...

Coffee is very good, but you get the pod and prepare it yourself, the hot chocolate is delicious and the pastries OK. Very close to Coliseum and not expensive

We found this place by accident while we were looking for a small snack on our way home. The Pizza was really good and not expensive and you can decide how large your slides should be. I would come back again.

Really impressed with this bakery in the Monti area (near Cavour metro stop). It is on the corner of Via dei Serpenti & Via Panisperna. The shop has beautiful interior design, and even at night all the desserts are lit up and beautiful (see photos). The staff are friendly and nice too. I think they sell sandwiches/meals and coffee, but we just stopped in for the cookies. This would make a swanky date night while on a walk around Monti. We enjoyed: Brutti Buoni cookies (literally ugly but good)- an egg white based cookie loaded with nuts -I liked it but husband thought it was too sweet Pastry filled with jam (excellent! flakey, buttery and gooey in all the right parts) Chocolate chip madaline cookie (good!)

Don't go-Food is terrible and they only have business because the area is full of tourist that don't know any better :-( They have a lot of American pastries so I tried several because I get home sick sometimes. Every single one was horrible. Dry, cheap ingredients and bland. I would feel bad about posting this but the employees were also very arrogant and rude. Non vado-le dolce sono terribile e loro hanno commercio/business solo, perché la zona è piena di turisti che non si conosce è molto brutto :-( Loro hanno molti di dolci americani, così ho comprato molti diversi, perché da tempo mi manca NYC (mia casa). Tutti erano orribile. Secchi, ingredienti economici/brutto, e blandi. Mi sento male per questo distacco, ma i dipendenti erano anche molto arrogante e maleducato.

We got pistachio and chocolate filled croissants and a simple butter cookie that were rock hard. Cream inside was ok but the pastry scrapped your face and throat. The espresso you make yourself using a instant pod from a coffee maker and they do not have milk to make anything else. How this place got such a high rating (probably by buying it) is mind blowing. You do not have to be a croissant connoisseur to know you are eating cardboard and drinking instant coffee in middle of Rome! The prices were comparable to other cafes in the area and servers were kind. This is the only time that a place so highly reviewed on yelp failed so miserably to live up to its high reviews.

Wifi, pastries, pizza, coffee--all easy to order, affordable and very tasty! The cappuccino was 1€ and it was excellent. I also was able to find a seat without paying for a sitting fee.

Foccaccia was very good. Loved the zucchini especially. Affordable and near most of the major monuments.

Stopped here on a whim because we could smell the pastries. Soooo good! They have pizza and various sweet pastries. Would recommend.

The pastries are decent, but they only serve coffee from a self-serve Keurig-style machine--they'll give you the pod at the register.

We were coming back from the Colosseum and stopped here for a quick lunch. Was fast and inexpensive.

Glad we searched this bakery out, close to the apt. in Monti we stayed at. We pointed at a loaf that caught our eye, the owner called it "The best" - forget what it was called! - but he assured us that among other things it was 'full of fiber'. Hey! That loaf lasted for several days of toast/cheese snacks and was a delight. We laso got a couple of teir versions of chocolate croissants which just came out of the oven for the stroll back. Mmmm - happy he suggested them they were also delicioso!!!

Awesome pizza!!! Ate here twice in 3 days !! The place is very small, almost standing room only - filled with locals.
