This is an excellent restaurant to take a break at when visiting Hasedera and the Buddha as it is centrally located between the two main attractions, yet off the main path so not as visible.
You order at the counter and choose between a number of sandwich options, meat/cheese platters, and sides. You can add a few glasses of wine to your order and you refill your glass from the bottles that sit on ice. There is also a water station, juice and sodas and high quality coffee options as well. Our food was made to order, so we had plenty of time to rest from all the walking (the wine helped the relaxing as well). Food was excellent, beautifully plated and the restaurant has wide windows overlooking a garden which was rich with blooming hydrangeas. I’m not sure if they take advanced reservations, but if they do - that would be a great plan for a guaranteed high quality meal and restful down-time while touring. Excellent find and I will be back whenever I take guests to see this area of kamakura.
