4 Stars — Here’s Why
This past Friday night, after a long week and zero desire to cook, pizza felt like the obvious choice. When I walked in, though, the atmosphere caught me off guard. Things felt mildly chaotic—several employees behind the counter, a couple customers waiting, and what looked like a few mixed-up orders. No one acknowledged me to ask whether I was ordering or picking up, which felt a little strange.
I kept the mood light by chatting with another customer until I finally caught a young man’s attention to pay for my order. And because I’m five months pregnant, grabbing a slice of chocolate cake on the way out felt like the right thing to do… until I saw the price. Almost seven dollars for one slice! I don’t hurt for cash, but that’s practically the cost of a small pizza. Still, I’d already committed, so into the bag it went.
While waiting for my pizza, I took a bite of the cake—good flavor, but definitely on the dry side and absolutely not worth $6.75. I also mentioned to the staff that the walkway needed more salt, as it was extremely slippery where water drips down from the roof. They had some salt out, but not nearly enough and not in the most critical spot.
Then came the biggest disappointment: the pizza itself. One of my photos shows how little cheese was on it, which was surprising and a bit disheartening. I’m someone who loves leftover cold pizza, but this one didn’t make the cut. With so many pizza options in the area, I’m not sure I’d return.
