My husband and I were delighted that we happened to discover the Evergreen Inn when looking for a place to overnight in Antigonish. It’s located just slightly outside of the main part of town, in a quiet area with a beautiful view of the surrounding hills. Their website describes it as “a small boutique inn” and it’s exactly that! The attention to detail both inside and out was fantastic – they think of everything! We stayed in a standard queen room and it was bright, very clean, with all the comforts of home (small refrigerator, microwave, glassware, cutlery). The bathroom was surprisingly spacious and the addition of two bathrobes and slippers was a nice touch! We even took advantage and used their laundry facilities at the end of the inn which was perfect as we were mid-way through our roadtrip (you'll need change which you can get from the owner). The check in/out process was super easy and they have a cute little breakfast area which was well stocked with an assortment of continental breakfast items and had great coffee. We highly recommend the Evergreen Inn and will definitely stop by again if we are ever in the area!

My family of 4 including two kids stayed here in early August 2025 for one night. A lovely place to stay, with many small thoughtful touches of comfort throughout. Really much nicer rooms than many hotels. The kitchenette is a wonderful convenience. Breakfast was plentiful and included homemade muffins and scones. The host was very nice. We definitely will visit again if we are in the area.

We stayed at the Antigonish Evergreen Inn for 5 days, and it was such a lovely experience. From the start, everything felt welcoming and easy. The room was spotless, well cared for, and had thoughtful touches that made it feel more like home than a hotel. The water pressure in the shower was excellent (always a big plus!) and everything felt very clean and comfortable. The real highlight? The blueberry scone — hands down the best I’ve ever had. It’s little details like that which make this inn stand out. Overall, a quiet, cozy place that made our time in Antigonish even more enjoyable. Perfect for couples or anyone looking for a stay that balances comfort, charm, and genuine hospitality. We’d absolutely come back!

My wife and I stayed at Antigonish Evergreen Inn for three nights in late September on the sixth leg of our Canada Maritimes road trip. We arrived mid-afternoon and we received a warm welcome from Christy who answered a few questions and gave us some local tips.||The room was spacious with a kitchen area alongside the bed, wardrobe, desk, chairs and a table. It was helpful to have the facility to make hot drinks - there was a wide selection of teas and coffees provided as well as a single cup coffee filter machine. With the full sized cooker and microwave it would be possible to cook meals in the room. There was adequate cutlery, crockery and glassware. We made use of the fridge (which operated very quietly) to store drinks, fresh fruit and rolls bought in the local supermarket. We found the bed to be very comfortable and we slept warmly. The room had plenty of heating and cooling options, most notably a highly efficient electric fire. The bathroom had a shower over the bath tub. There was plenty of room in the bathroom - it was well designed for our requirements.||We enjoyed the breakfasts which we sampled - such a variety of cereals and extras like seeds, nuts, dried fruit. There was porridge, blueberry scones and muffins. Eggs were cooked to order - poached or boiled. It was good to have a selection of more interesting types of bread to toast. A big thank you to Astrid who looked after us in the mornings on two of the days. We very much enjoyed chatting to her and the other guests.||This bed and breakfast accommodation has been ideally located to explore the Cape George scenic drive, as recommended in the information pack - we enjoyed our tour very much indeed. The town of Antigonish is a ten minute drive from the inn - everything is close to hand and we ate extremely well in the recommended restaurants.||My wife and I were very impressed by all the thoughtful extras provided - the towelling robes and slippers, an umbrella and a shoe horn being examples. It was very clear to us that the family owners take great pride in their business and richly deserve all the excellent reviews garnered over the years.

….reality. ||Easy to find, and we were met in the “reception” which is also the breakfast. Extremely nice hosts.||Got the key, and the first thing you will notice is the view of the natur just outside the window.||Then the peace and quiet feeling, you immediately get.||Clean, very clean.||There is a kitchenette. Big fridge etc. However, there is actually no place to be seated to eat. On top you are warned about frie or sear too much because of smoke.||How soft the beds should be is obviously individual. ||Bathroom very fine. I just prefer either a shower or a bathtub. Again, it’s individual.||Location is 30 min walk to town, which is fine when in the car all day.||Breakfast is extremely minimal. ||Good two days stay. However, reviews, expectations, realty and price don’t quite add up.

We were only there for a short stay but everything was lovely. Drove straight there from the North Sydney ferry so we could see the Bay of Fundy the next morning. Lots of nice touches. It was great having an equipped kitchenette, although we only used the sink. Great for anyone traveling with babies/kids, it made washing bottles a breeze. Room was impeccably clean. A continental style breakfast was set up in the main foyer with a toaster with bread/bagels, cereal, yogurt, homemade baked goods and a porridge station with lots of mix-ins available. Coffee/tea and juice. Eggs were available on request. Linda and her husband were so attentive to everyone having breakfast. I would definitely stay again if we were in the area.

We spent one night here, and I’m afraid it was a disappointment for us. I will preface by saying we stayed in the 2 Bedroom Apartment, for which we paid $375. I did not see any mention that it was a basement suite. It was quite dark, but that was fine. They had a dehumidifier that was far too noisy, but we lived with that. However, we were particularly looking for a quiet night, but the residents who lived above put a nix on that. My husband and I were both intermittently bothered by their footsteps, starting at about 11:00 pm, resulting in a rather sleepless night. It just continued to spiral for us, as the coffee maker was leaking, and the hair dryer did not work. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable and breakfast was a lovely bonus, as the lady managing the breakfast room was quite delightful.

Beautiful setting on the outskirts of town. Very convenient and easy to find. Large room with kitchenette. Bathroom large with shower tub combination. Plenty of room to move around. Coin operated laundry available on premises (bring your loonies). All in all one of the nicest rooms/settings of our trip.
