We stayed in this beautiful lodging for a few days around New Year's and were pleased and impressed with every dimension of our experience. Francisco and Antonieta were friendly, conscientious hosts who made us feel quite welcome and gave us guidance and advice on all sorts of practicalities. Their arrangements for our transportation by car from Mexico City and to Queretaro were especially appreciated. Our rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely. The rooftop terrace and the courtyard were both ideal locations for relaxing. The breakfasts were tasty, well-presented, and sustaining. We loved every aspect of our stay and wish that we could have continued there longer. If you are looking for first-class accommodations in San Miguel, we highly recommend Antigua Capilla!

Hubby and I booked a last minute trip to San Miguel and saw this place recommended on Tripadvisor. We were so happy with our stay. The decor of our room as well as the entire property made us feel like we were transported to Spanish colonial times. The property was clean and very well maintained, beds comfortable and delicious home cooked hot breakfast included each morning. ||The location was a short 15 minute downhill walk to the main square. Beware of the walk back to the property though. Pretty steep uphill trek. We ended up taking a taxi back everyday to avoid the uphill. Taxis were easy to find and cheap so it was worth it!||The property owners were very accommodating and easy to talk to. They gave us some great shopping, food, and out of town recommendations and even hooked us up with a private tour guide, Miguel, who took us around Guanajuato City.||We recommend this place for a couples getaway or for a small group. Hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we did!||Marissa and Aaron

My friend and I recently stayed at Antigua Capilla Bed & Breakfast in San Miguel de Allende, and our experience was nothing short of wonderful. Here's why we loved it: - The property is absolutely beautiful, featuring a gorgeous courtyard. - The rooftop offers a breathtaking view of San Miguel. - Rooms are spacious, and both of ours had bathtubs, which I thoroughly enjoyed. - The hosts were amazing and provided excellent tips for exploring the city. - Breakfast served every morning was delicious. - Coffee and other amenities were available throughout the day, perfect for breaks between city exploration. - Excellent location; most attractions were within a 10-minute walk. I highly recommend staying at Antigua Capilla Bed & Breakfast. I will definitely return on my next visit to San Miguel de Allende!

A gorgeous home-like location for your perfect San Miguel de Allende visit. Beautiful decor and art. Great hosts. Super help with travel plans. Delightful breakfasts. Why would you want to stay anywhere else. And, an amazing terrace deck with a stunning view of the city. The owners have thought of every conceivable item a traveler would need to ease their journey. Good size rooms with plenty of room for luggage. Chargers at each side of the bed. Bed warmers. A phone that allows you to phone the US easily at no extra cost. Our trip to San Miguel would not have been as fabulous without our visit to Antigua Capilla.

Antigua Capilla was a wonderful experience from the moment we arrived. Francisco and Antoinetta were helpful in organizing excellent local guides and answering our questions. Breakfast was delicious and the rooms immaculate. But there was something special beyond all of that. The beautiful gardens and fountain, incredible art and ceramics, and handsome regional decor created an exceptional aesthetic experience. We just wanted to linger longer. It was hard to leave.

This b&b is like a small, beautiful 5 star hotel. The spacious rooms (with comfortable cozy beds) are decorated with Mexican art objects and the large bathrooms are covered with colorful tiles made in Mexico. Because the weather was warm we ate delicious breakfasts outside in a courtyard with a fountain surrounded with flowers and the walls that bordered the courtyard were draped with 12 feet high bougainvillea vines. Our hosts were a warm, gracious couple who accommodated all of our tourist type needs. I would never stay any where else in San Miguel de Allende!

This is a marvelous B&B, and the attentive owners went way beyond the call of duty to make our 5-day stay perfect. Their love of this home--which they themselves built 15 years ago--is obvious in every beautiful detail and will make even the most demanding client happy to be here. The food is delicious and the service impeccable; the rooms are gigantic, modern, traditional and filled with art and all the necessary closet, surface and bureau spaces. As a special treat, they built the rooms and courtyard around a small 15th century chapel! When San Miguel gets too busy or noisy for you, you can easily get back to your "home" to enjoy the quiet and beauty of the interior common areas and courtyard or the fantastical roof patio with views of, well, everything from the entire city and churches and markets and winding streets to the most gorgeous sunsets outside of Greece. If you think you need any additional amenity when you're there, don't fret--Antonietta will take care of it quickly and efficiently.

Antigua Capilla is simply magnificent. Exquisitely curated to the last detail it takes your breath away from the moment you enter the living room. Everywhere you look your eyes delight in the art and tile and whimsical or gorgeous decor. Was with a group and we had the entire facility so got to see every magical room. It was built in 2008 so has modern facilities. Housekeeping is impeccable. Breakfasts are good, especially if you get to savor Francisco's various sourdough breads. Antonietta is most helpful in every way. The view from the capacious rooftop deck is breathtaing. | You'll enjoy luxurious accommodations when you stay at this Bed and Breakfast.
