Did you know that the City of Madrid has been honoring businesses that have been in the city for more than 100 years with a bronze plaque? This small bakery is one of such businesses. It offers delicious, fresh baked pastries that melt in your mouth. Really friendly staff. If you are looking for that special gift or just for yourself, this is the place you were looking for in Madrid. The box price is per kilo, which means you get more for your money.

September 2022 - I forgot to post this review. Very nice place, it is an ancient pastry shop still furnished in ancient style. Good service. The biscuits were really tasty and varied.

Madrid is known for its warm people and vibrant atmosphere, but this bakery? It’s like stepping into a sitcom where the grumpy old lady is the star—and not in a good way. The cashier’s charm is so nonexistent, you'd think she’s been hired specifically to scare tourists away. Smile at your peril, because you’ll get a glare colder than a Madrid winter. And the prices? Let's just say your wallet will feel lighter faster than you can say "croissant." Even the overpriced pastries seemed to be thinking, “Are we really worth this?” If you want a lesson in unfriendliness served with a side of daylight robbery, this is your spot. Otherwise, keep walking, Madrid has way better places to charm you!

Attractive old fashioned bakery doing a roaring trade among native madrileños. The 'suizo' buns we bought were very good

Seems like it might be the oldest bakery/patisserie in Madrid! Founded in 1830. Small, but lovely and. The servers were happy to be there and very helpful. We got mini chocolate éclairs and a roscón de reyes (Christmas sweet bread). All fantastically tasty. There was a line outside and that's how we discovered this lovely shop! Definitely recommend!!

Recently tried Huesos de Santos. The ones we tried in the shop were good, but the ones they packed us to go barely had any filling.

The oldest bakery in Spain since 1830 Try their torrijas and also their cream puffs / pie They have kept their tradition alive, not moderised it

It is one of the oldest pastry shops in Madrid, established in 1830. Its signature item is the Roscón de Reyes, a round, ring-shaped cake traditionally eaten on January 6th for Three Kings' Day. Notably, this version does not contain a figurine or a bean inside. Their pastries, including Empanadas, Hojaldres, and Ponche, are also delicious.
