This hotel has a ton of potential to be amazing - and perhaps there are parts of it that are already very nice. We were put in a ground-floor apartment which certainly was a lot of space. But the furniture throughout the hotel was tacky and gaudy beyond belief and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. |The breakfast was dire, with industrial packaged stuff and no service to speak of. |On the plus side, the people at the front desk were very nice and the location is excellent as it's in the middle of the old town on a quiet street.

Stayed in Antiq Palace for 4 nights. Ideal location for touring Ljubljana on foot. Hotel room was huge, a little dated but quirky! Perfectly adequate for what we needed! |We didn't have food at the hotel. The staff we met were very friendly, in particular Jakob , who went out of his way to help us carry our bags to the taxi rank close to the hotel when we were leaving. He was a very polite and respectful young man!! We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place in Ljubljana.

Antiq Palace Hotel & Spa in Ljubljana had no working air conditioning during extremely hot weather, making it incredibly uncomfortable!. To make matters worse, when I requested a refund due to the unacceptable conditions, the staff argued with and did not believe it was a problem and took no responsibility in rectifying the situation. There was no concern for customer comfort, accused us of not working the air conditioning properly and NO basic hospitality. In fact, did not believe there was an issue AT ALL! In addition, mold on the tub, and curtains not hung properly. The owner seems only concerned with making money rather than treating guests with respect and dignity!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone—poor management, poor service, and a complete disregard for guests' well-being.

An Underwhelming Stay in a Promising Location The Antique Palace Hotel in Ljubljana has plenty of potential, but unfortunately, it falls short in several key areas. The building itself hints at old-world charm, but it clearly needs serious attention and renovation. The rooms are poorly maintained, with outdated furnishings and a layout that feels more confusing than cozy. Noise was a constant issue during my stay, and the lack of air conditioning made the warm nights uncomfortable. Breakfast was another disappointment. The selection was limited and not particularly inviting—definitely not the highlight of the morning. Overall, the location is great, and the staff were polite, but the hotel needs a major refresh to live up to its name and price point. Until then, it’s hard to recommend beyond a short stay or if everywhere else is booked.

Funny. This hotel is so full of itself. And they have awful rooms. I paid for a night, got to my room, and it had no working air conditioning. The guy hit some buttons, said I'm sorry, and walked out. That was it! "Open the window". It was 82 degrees outside and I was on the top floor. I told them that I wanted to check out or get a heavily discounted rate. They let me walk. I'm now in a hotel with working a/c and a less expensive rate. Don't stay here. It's not with it. Their management are idiots.

Very central location ,in the heart of the old town .First of all we loved the charm of the hotel and the very friendly welcome from the reception. We had a huge room and from the window we could see a bit the castle opposite! Big smart tv ,good WiFi and very warm room in 4 cold days we stayed. Bathroom was also big with hot water all the time. Breakfast was very good ( hotel wasn’t busy at that moment) with cold cuts, salmon ,cereal, yogurt etc. Staff was very polite and helping! We did the perfect choice with booking our stay in Antiq Pallace !!!

We stayed here 4 nights. Huge room, which had a view to the Castle, comy bed and pillows, minibar, working Wi-Fi and functional bathroom with good shower. Service was really friendly and location is really good, because small(ish) City Centre kind of starts here and river is really close. Because area is mostly pedestrian, it was also nice that French Revolution Square was 2-3min walk away, because from there you can start your Tours or take your Airport Taxi etc. Breakfast lacked warm options, but bread, coldcuts, cheese, croissants, yoghurt, fruits etc. were available. Only bad thing was something that wasn't hotel's fault. One morning dumpster truck woke us 6am, because it was under our 2nd floor window and also during weekends there were some real noisy party people waking us up couple of times 3-4am

To start, the location of the hotel was amazing. It was in the center of the city and a four-minute walk away from the old town. Our rooms were big and spacious, plus the bed sheets and towels were very clean and all the members of the staff, although very few, were very kind. That was the good part. One thing that we noticed right as we came, was that the corridors were extremely cold (we came in winter). The elevator was only capable of holding four people at a time, which was very stressing, as we were a big group. The tiles were either broken or not glued. In one of our rooms there was a big wooden block on the floor that had no purpose but tripping people in the middle of the night. The rooms smelled like sewage so that wasn’t very great. Due to the absurd architectural planning of the rooms, we had to bend down to get to one side of the bed, but at least it was a fun game of limbo. To be honest, I don’t understand how this hotel could have four stars. I probably won’t be returning.
