Clean, cool, and well merchandised. Sadly, in antique shopping, this usually means a bump in price, and that's what we encountered. Merchandise is fun and quirky but a little over curated and certainly overpriced. Lots of true vintage but also some reproductions slipped in at the same price point. Still a lot of fun to browse, and we found several items unique enough that we might be willing to take a hit on the price to bring them home. Staff was welcoming and no one hovered. Thank you! Nothing can ruin a shopping experience like passive aggressive asset protection.

Like many have said, you can spend hours here.. so many different items on so many scales and tiers. Something for everyone for sure. People were super nice. They spent extra time wrapping breakable items, which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely go back again. Wish I had more time to look through the store.

Google
so wonderful enormous selection of very cool and strange items

I love thrifting. This place has so many many items. I was in this whole store for an hour, No exaggeration. Unfortunately, I didn't see that much Star Wars, but I really did enjoy. Tips: Some items are hidden so if you are looking for good items, look in hidden places as well.

Google
they had some really cool items in there, but also quite a bit of racist statues and some stuff that was literally just being sold at tj maxx. i found a cool playboy postcard for $5 and wanted to buy it. when i went to the register the man there waited until after he had rang it up to tell me they don’t take tap to pay. we thought it was a problem with the apple pay stuff so my friend tried to put it on her card but he wouldn’t accept that either. he yelled at me for not having cash because i left my wallet at home and told me “better luck next time.” i’m not sure what he even meant by that?? was he implying i was trying to steal or something?? i was going to ask how much the minimum card cost was but he walked away immediately after. really weird and off putting so we left.

As is my problem with many antique stores… Yes, alright, racism etc is part of history. But what kind of person buys racist antiques to put in their homes? They probably arent buying it for a museum. I would not want to cater to the type of customer to do that and it makes buying from this store (like many others) difficult. Not to mention both times I went in here it felt like every single time I looked up the same staff member was walking up and down the same aisle we were in following us around. Maybe she thought we were teens looking to steal but I’m around thirty and a mother, I dont need to be followed around a store. And as again with other antique shops… Many things to find and go “huh, I saw that in tjmaxx a couple months ago” or many pieces of jewelry that are definitely just pieces from current trendy stores (like hot topic, not actual jewelry stores) that arent worth their price tag. I am unsure how they get the items they sell and maybe thats on the customer to know what theyre looking at before they buy it but it rubs me the wrong way.

Google
You could spend hours in here. So many fascinating artifacts. The best booth is to your direct right upon entry. Super cool vintage items. It’s like a museum! Great to visit on a rainy day too.

Google
Generally quite a wonderful store! I’ve always had really good service here. My only gripe would be some of the pricing is a bit inconsistent with the actual worth. Otherwise, great

Yelp
A fun place with lots of records. Friendly colorful people working there. They seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Caring us important to the vibe.

Yelp
Nice store but unfortunately stanly at the register is extremely rude, nasty, lazy and spoke nasty to my mother and other customers with attitude.

Toni K.

Yelp
Stopped in yesterday. The man that was working there was rude, nasty and not acting professional. NOT going back. We used to like browsing through that store.

Yelp
A must-visit when in Asbury area. Great selection of items at very good prices. This past trip did quite a bit of holiday shopping helping me to stay with my goal of up-cycling rather than buying new. Staff here very friendly and accommodating.

Yelp
i would have easily spent $300-$400 after scanning the store but unfortunately they have a protocol for checking prices and examining the merchandise which they do not tell you as you come in the store. I asked for a case to be opened for price and item examination but when I asked to see other items in different cases I was hit with a very rude statement that made me feel like an idiot the woman , short, husky, reddish blonde hair, bit my head off. Like a nice person that i am I stood there altruistically waiting for her to return with the keys to the other cases but she never walked to the back of the store again. she left me there hanging there were at least 5 more items I would have bought but I guess they didn't want to make money that day. In conclusion I don't plan on returning to this location ever again. Disappointing....

Yelp
Really wanted to like this place because I love antique stores and collect vintage books, earrings, and fashion pieces, so I went in yesterday with my partner on a whim! Initially had a super positive experience, my partner and i were just browsing and an employee asked me if i wanted to try on an item in their bathroom which was super nice of her, so i tried it on. unfortunately it was too small. she offered some solutions, i said i'd think about it and she called the dealer that was selling the dress and got me a discount (super nice, but she already knew the dress didn't fit). she then proceeded to find my partner and I in another part of the shop to ask if i had decided and further try to sell this dress, which was too small around my ribs (which can't really shrink), and went so far as to tell me maybe i could "shave off a few pounds" and "not eat as much" and then commented about my chest size. I'm a size 4-6. i'm a small person. she also continuously commented about my budget (which i never told her), and overall made our experience deeply uncomfortable, and we didn't stay for much longer after. we do both believe she was well intentioned, but it really still was not at all appropriate. So overall i'm appalled and will probably never be going back. Normally I'm not the type to leave reviews, especially negative ones, but an experience like this could be incredibly harmful to others. I did still get a book which was really cool, but the experience was probably one of the worst and most uncomfortable i've ever had. i've only ever worked in customer service, i get needing to make a sale, but unsolicited, unwarranted comments about a total strangers body and finances when they haven't told you literally anything and you're just making assumptions is way too far. it's honestly just appalling.

Yelp
This is a wonderland of finds. You will be overwhelmed. So plan ahead and give yourself time. First browse then dive in. Jewelry, clothes, hardware, decor - you name it they have it. Unique finds, treasures for a lifetime.

Yelp
I loved this place You can immediately feel the love that was put into this antique store. Each section is like its own "room" with a hand picked assortment of nostalgic items. I was surprised and delighted with each new section I ended up finding two video games for my retro gaming collection that I haven't been able to find anywhere else. I highly suggest you visit this shop if you love antiques

Yelp
I would give this store zero stars if I could!! I recently spent $392.39 at the Antique Emporium of Asbury Park. I purchased one item that cost $15. When I arrived back home, this $15 item was not in my bag. I called the store and the man who answered said he put said item in the bag. I said in fact it was NOT in the bag. He said well it's not here. I asked - since it wasn't in the bag - if I could kindly have a refund. He replied - sorry can't help you. I informed him that I'd never visit his store again. He said oh well too bad goodbye. I have never been treated so rudely. Very poor business practice. I spent almost $400 and they would not refund a measly $15. Sorry lost my business and it would've been good. Like Vivian said in the movie "Pretty Woman" - BIG Mistake!!

Yelp
This is one of the better antique stores I've been to. You can rent out a cubby and keep all the things you want to sell in it. You have workers that walk around that can assist you and believe it or not the prices aren't too bad. There's something in here for everyone, as long as you have the patience to dig through everything

Yelp
I love Antique Emporium! Tons of Vintage intense to rummage thru. I always find a great Knick knack or two to add to my collection. Lots of collectible LIFE magazines and others. I definitely recommend a stop off here.

Yelp
When I first walked in, I thought this was the greatest store ever. I collect post cards and letters. I saw a stack of envelopes and I specifically asked if the letters were inside, and I was reassured they were. When I got home I came to find out sadly, there were no letters. I paid $7 for old envelopes! Later that day I went into my wallet and I realized, I also never got my change. I understand how that can be my fault.. but I shouldn't have to ask for Change and also receive incorrect information about an item i am purchasing. I am never visiting this place again. Horrible experience.

Yelp
Love this place! Wasn't looking for anything in particular, just browsing. It's like a museum! I love all the retro stuff and spent quite some time walking around. Everything is clean & neat and sectioned depending on vendor. I ended up with a few books this time around. Expect to spend some time there if you want to see everything. Lovely staff.

Yelp
cool thrift store but SUPER expensive when it comes to buying used and old items. this place is PACKED with items and if you're in the mood to go shopping for old items, this place is for you! it's not bad and the customer service is great. it took maybe 10 minutes to just walk around the store but my friends and i weren't really looking too in depth into each and every item there (that i feel like would take about 30 minutes). but if you're into thrifting or you just want to see old items, this is the place for you! otherwise, i've seen cheaper places that had cool items too.

Yelp
Nothing special just a lot of crap. My wife wanted to get in the store about 15 before the store was closing but the man at the door wouldn't let her in saying they were closing soon. What horrible customer service. So we came back today just to realize it was a waste of time. NOT WORTH THE TRIP

Yelp
The best place around for antiques and for looking around. The staff is super sweet, and I've never left empty handed ! I will continue to support them .

Yelp
Went in here thinking I'd just have a 10-minute mosey through the shop and see if anything caught my eye. Once inside, realized it only looked small from the outside. The inside is HUGE, the size of an old-time department store floor. Dozens of vendor stalls. It probably took me an hour and a half just to see everything, let alone make buying decisions. I didn't get out of there for well over 2 hours and of course I saw a few things I just couldn't live without that separated me from a chunk of $$$. Even if you're not the antique-shop kind of person, you should check out this store. It has something for everyone, and I do mean everyone. For example - somewhere in the middle of the store is a vendor stand featuring rare early punk vinyl records. The last place I expect to find an old Buzzcocks 7 inch is in an Antique Emporium staffed (at least when I was there) by Fran Drescher's mom and a couple of Golden Girls, but that stand had a lot of cool vinyl. If you like mid-century modern or 60s mod decor, or old toys, or bric-a-brac, you'll find plenty to interest you. I'm tempted to make a return visit just to peruse the frontmost stall which had about a dozen retro hanging lamps (I have no idea if these were originals or reproductions, and frankly don't care, I just liked the look). It's also fairly clean and well-organized so you can walk up and down the three or four wide aisles without having to climb through firetraps and piles of stuff and risk breaking things. The counter staff are also nice, don't mind opening locked cabinets for you to see things, and don't give you the fish eye if you're under 65 or buying a lot of stuff. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5 is the prices, They are on the high side, and since most of the vendors are absent, I'm not sure if you'd be able to haggle them down with the counter staff. Then again, all the shops in this area are on the expensive side so you kinda expect it. Parking is an issue but that's true of all of Asbury Park so I'm not taking off a star for that.

Yelp
What a treasure trove of unique items! Probably one of the best laid out / kept antique stores I've been to in the local area. Came here on a gorgeous Saturday after stopping in Asbury for my usual items (MOGO for lunch, and Asbury Park Roastery for my coffee) - I never noticed this place here before. The store was kept fairly clean, isles were clear of "junk", and each vendor's section provided nice and varied items to browse through. Best yet, unlike a lot of other antique stores I've been to, most of the stuff in here is actually vintage and in decent shape. Prices are varied - some vendors have their items priced pretty fairly, while others have some pretty crazy stickers on their items. The staff is pretty friendly as well. Parking is the only downside - it's pretty much street parking only, all of which is metered, and there's not much of it. Not a huge deal, but still frustrating. Either way, a real gem in an up-and-coming town. Worth going to if you're in the area, especially with an amazing food place next door!

Yelp
From soup to nuts here folks: need some vintage kitchenware or an autographed photo of Uncle Miltie? They've got you covered. Lots of pretty decent old jewelry, some vintage wear, interesting paintings, a few original movie posters from the 30's-50's, Edwardian era books and 60's comics, 40's cheesecake/beefcake photos and pinups galore. All sorts of kitschy over-the-top stuff. Actually not too expensive by NY standards but maybe a little pricey on some items for the area. Prepare to spend a lot of time in here if you're into vintage items and antiques. Oh, and in the way back they have what I assume are two of the horses from the old Casino carousel, before it was dismantled.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp & the reviews made me want to check it out. Traveled 35 minutes & it was kinda worth it. Let's start with the parking... it's totally abysmal! Took me 20 minutes of circling to secure a spot. Electronic pay meters are $1 per hour or $10 per day. As for the place itself... jam packed with every type of antique & vintage item imaginable! Furniture, pottery, glass, toys, collectibles, a ton of jewelry, signage, Civil War memorabilia, vintage vinyl, lighting, concert tee's, leather goods, clothing, accessories & oddities. Want a taxidermy fox? You'll find it here. The staff is awesome. Let me repeat... AWESOME!!! I spent more than 3 hours & they accommodated my every question, request to open cases, and haggled with a smile. Super friendly & knowledgeable. They even looked for items I might be interested in once they learned what I collect! The restroom was super clean & stocked as well. The only downside... the prices. Most of the many dealers located here are charging full retail. As an avid collector & reseller, I was only able to purchase items I truly wanted for my personal collections. If you're looking to resell, forget it. There's no meat on the bone here. Overall great experience but doesn't warrant more than 3 stars due to parking, prices, crowded conditions and lack of organization & space in many of the booths. For me it will be an occasional visit.

Yelp
Lots to see! A trip down memory lane. Have purchased many items here. Always a stop when I'm in asbury!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite antique stores in the shore area. Their prices are very reasonable -- and the variety of antiques and collectibles is astounding. My home is filled with lovely antiques from the Antique Emporium.
