I found all sorts of cool stuff and had a ball wandering. If its fall or winter do dress warm as its chilly and the big barn doors are open.

Prices are fair, and the quality of items is consistently excellent. Whether you’re a seasoned picker or just browsing, the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. I’ve found some amazing pieces here that I couldn’t find anywhere else. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the Asheville area—it’s a must-visit for treasure hunters!

I'd recommend taking a couple hours to truly enjoy this place and see all it has to offer. It can definitely be overwhelming when you first step foot inside, but the selection is out of this world. Pretty much anything you'd want for decor, fashion, home goods and everything in-between Definitely worth a stop if youre in the Asheville area and looking for an antique market! We spent about 2 hours aimlessly walking around the warehouse, will probably spend twice as long next time!

This place is awesome! It broke our hearts to here the stories of the damage from the flood. The vendors are back as good as ever. Have time to look, there are all kinds of treasures.

Large selection, unique items. I've been there several times. This was the first time I've been in the winter. It was in the 30s outside and inside. We had to wear our coats, hats, and gloves. Dress warmly if you go when it is cold.

A must see for antiquers. Some amazing items, some mass produced. I’m not a fan of modern, but they had a lot for those who are! My favorites were right up front to the right.

The building looks great post Helene. Glad to see things back up and running. I was glad to find lots of amazing gifts for Christmas. If you visit in the winter make sure to bundle up!

They have managed to fill the barn again with stuff you need and stuff you don't need.

MASSIVE! We didn't have a ton of time so we moved through quickly in order to cover the whole place. But if you had the time you could spend hours there if you wanted to really check out every single space thoroughly. There's a lot of larger furniture pieces, some clothing, lots of decor, art, new stuff/antiques. They've pretty much got it all. Fun place to roam! PS, they've got restrooms, a coffee shop, and a decent amount of parking.

Probably one of the largest and most comprehensive collection of indoor and outdoor antique items. Furniture, books, clothing, tools, jewelry, artwork, collectibles... you name it. They've probably got it! Prices are relevant to value. Very helpful staff.

Very good store if you're interested in midcentury stuff like me. Lots of antique doors, light and bathroom fixtures. Some salt and pepper shakers, too. It has no climate control, so dress accordingly to the weather. This is a great store. Update october 2024. On the store's Facebook page, the store has been turned to soup. Priceless antiques smash around and everything destroyed. Also the coffee cart was destroyed. So sad for them.

Very impressive selection with well curated booths. The store is well filled with a mixture of new old. Very easy to navigate with a lot of carts available. Dog friendly too. Staff were friendly and welcoming.

What a huge variety of items! Everything from small antique platters to large concrete urns for your front porch. This place is huge and so wide open. It's literally a large barn and they have tons to explore. Tons of different vendors all fairly reasonable i felt like. The shop owners let you explore but did walk by with friendly smiling faces. The only thing is since it is so open the platters i brought home did have tons of dust on them but in a way the experience was worth it definitely different than a usual antique mall in a tight space with 80 booths cram packed!

Great place to wander around for hours. Wonderful selection of antiques big and small and great prices.

Antiquing heaven!!! This is a must stop if you're visiting Asheville. Furniture selection was amazing, antiques were great, and there's even a coffee vendor inside. Love this place!

This is a picker's delight. The Antique Tobacco Barn, just outside of Biltmore Village near Asheville, NC has a little bit of everything, and you could spend hours just looking around and shopping. They have large items, like reclaimed municipal streetlights, and gorgeous wooden bars, to unique old equipment, and hand-crafted wood furniture, collectibles, decor items and more. This was not our first time visiting the Tobacco Barn, and we will definitely go again. Every time we go in something new and unique catches our eye. They had several old free-standing liquor bars. They could have been reclaimed from an old hotel, or pub, even an old home. They have many architectural items, old antique desks, barber chairs, signs and more. They also have reclaimed stained glass windows, yard art and decor made of concrete, large wooden slabs for making a table or bar, and unique stools and chairs. Prices vary greatly depending on the item, but there are deals to be had. Stop by the Antique Tobacco Barn today to find your unique item for your home.

Covid times visit. We were visiting a friend and she told us this was a must. Checked hours, called and confirmed they were open. Mask wearing is a must right now. It was fun walking through all the different things and booths. I love bargain hunting. We wandered for a couple hours at least. There are some really unique things here. The giant slabs of oak trees and unique statues. Lots of home decor and furniture. I thought the swivel, rocking outdoor chairs were genius ave wished I had more room in the car. I appreciate that they were open and taking cautions.

HUGE place with tons of vendors so it will take a while to go through the whole place. My favorite problem to have! Love coming here!

This place is huge, so plan on spending some time here if you want to see everything. There's a variety of most every antique and treasure on the planet. Prices are fairly consistent with what we've seen during our travels. If you're into woodcrafts make sure to head out back because there's plenty of lumber for sign making or furniture construction.

How could I even see anything in the store when the store wasn't open? Their website says their hours and we were there on Tuesday and no doors are open, no sign that said they were closed today. We walked 1/2 way around the building thinking we would find the door and...nothing. No answering machine, nothing. 3 other people were in the parking lot with us, all saying the same as us, the web says they are open. NOT good business practice.

Fun to walk through. A good place for large furniture pieces. A lot of small items repeat through out the building.

Lots of stuff but the staff that work there have zero personality and just want you to leave after they get your money. No thank you, no good byes.... Nothing. I was like maybe I should have went elsewhere:(

Interesting selection. Random. Priced towards the higher end for antiques than a central Virginia where I'm from. Petty customer service - I asked if they can help me out with a box of glass, they looked like I asked waaay too much. Not very chivalrous, nor great customer service. I did get the impression if I was a white woman and asked, they would have helped So, I would recommend black people come but give them the same lack of respect they give to others. Anyways, let's see how the rest of Appalachia is.

Great place normal mix of "created" antiques and real. 2-3 hours of browsing. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

A unique warehouse-like market that houses a variety of vintage and antique goods under one roof, which used to be a tobacco storage barn in the olden days. Parking can be a challenge here as there's a limited amount of spots in the small lots. Make sure to avoid parking on the left side of the road as it is private property with warnings about illegally parked cars being towed. The barn offers a variety of vintage goods, clothes, and some newer crafts throughout the various stalls. These are deeper spaces than other places I've been - instead of items being spread out in a horizontal space, they're packed into a vertical layout, often with items lining a designated walking path that loops you back to the main aisle. I did visit in winter, but the barn can feel cooler than the temperatures outside - I was glad I wore two jackets and a scarf as it got very drafty with the front and back doors of the barn open. Like other places with multiple stalls under one roof, you'll take your items to the front to purchase.

Yes, it's huge. Yes, it can be overwhelming. But dang - it is a treasure trove of things you didn't know you needed until you found them here. Like many antique malls, there are stalls that are way over-priced, vendors with dusty merchandise that hasn't been cared for, and a LOT of "fake old" reproductions (not necessarily a bad thing if it's priced right). However, there are a lot of sellers here with unique, interesting items; some actual antiques, a lot of vintage, and some architectural salvage (doors, windows, shutters, pillars-however very few light fixtures or tubs/sinks). My favorite stalls were the concrete lawn statues (very reasonably priced), the almanac and map prints (also reasonably priced and would make great gifts!) and the stalls way at the back with Victorian stained glass windows from the UK (very well priced considering their age and beauty). I did some damage with Mr Mastercard but I am so happy with my purchases! Good things to know: The Barn sells almost all furniture; I only saw 2-3 stalls that had any clothing. There are a bunch of amazing vintage clothing stores in Asheville with amazing selections, so save your clothes shopping for another time! I strongly recommend that you measure before you come here- they have a lot of old doors, windows and large pieces of furniture that are so cool that they probably will be gone the next time you visit. I know that we will definitely be back!

Second time we were in Asheville we stopped and the place is great. And willing to wheel and deal.

As I begin the process of moving into my new/old studio, I need to put some needed things and some wanted things and the Tobacco Barn (we Ashevillians don't add the Antique at the beginning) has everything I would need or want and more! Furniture selection is outstanding along with tons of knick knacks that can make any place stand out. As a straight male I'm not a decorator by any means, but no one could go wrong picking up stuff from this place. It is a large space, but they have plenty of parking in the back of the building and it is close to the center of town. No one.........and I mean no one in the area compares.

I loveloveLOVE this place. I travel the 40 a couple times of year usually spending a night in Asheville. I could while away hours here exploring every booth in the 80k square foot barn. So many unique items large and small! If it's cold outside, it'll be chilly inside..bring a jacket. There are rolling carts and shopping carts to fill as you push them through the aisles. There's also a coffee bar. Be sure and check out back as well!

Excited to check this place out from all the good reviews but I was disappointed. Seems like there are many reproductions, maybe 40% of the items for sale. Lots of large items that I wouldn't even know where to begin to decorate with. We came on a pretty cold day in November and it was freezing inside. I did find a beer crate from Belgium for $37 so the trip was not a loss but I do not think I would return. Prices are a bit too steep for my liking and not enough small items. This place is A-OK if you are looking for a statement piece or your not looking for true antiques.

My husband and I decided to stop by Antique Tobacco Barn during our weekend getaway to Asheville since it had been recommended to us. Even though this antique shop has a lot to offer it may not be for everyone. Los Guidry's Thoughts and Recommendations: - Very cold! We came here during the month of January and there is no centralized heating. There were a few over head heaters towards the front but the rest of the time we were freezing. Winter or summer dress accordingly if you plan on coming here. - SO much stuff. Y'all this place is huge! We spent about 1 hour browsing through the warehouse and we still didn't get a chance to see everything. It was pretty overwhelming and some spaces do not have great lighting. - Prices in general too steep. Each installation/ display is a different vendor so you'll find various prices throughout the warehouse for similar items. For example, I ended up purchasing 2 brass candle holders I found at a decent price. I found many other brass candle holders that were far more expensive though. My husband and I like to check out antique shops wherever we go (VA, GA, etc.) but this one in general was a bit overpriced. - Parking is limited. Please come prepared to park on the side of the road or drive around waiting for a car to leave a patch of dirt available for parking. Overall, Antique Tobacco Barn is a pretty neat store. If you come mentally prepared ( and wearing enough layers unlike me) then you're going to have a good time. To be honest the best part of my visit here was the Dirty Chai Latte I ordered as soon as I walked in. It was delicious and kept me warm.

Huge antique barn. Something for everyone. Very pleased to learn they were pet-friendly. I found a petal car that was in great shape and reasonable priced.

Probably my favorite of all the antique stores we stopped at on our trip to Asheville. It is absolutely huge and has a range of items from legitimate antiques (Victorian baby prams, iron locks, etc.) to cutesy up-cycled decor. They've also got a large selection of things like doors if you're looking to add some character to your home. The barn has got large flatbed carts for your shopping needs, and in a nice touch there are garbage cans throughout the barn. It turns out that I'm insanely allergic to Asheville in the spring, so I was glad to have a place to toss my used tissues instead of having to stuff them in my pockets until I could find a suitable receptacle. Highlight: the oddity of a child skeleton in a medical display box. Lowlight: the barn holds the winter cold for a long time - even though it was sunny and in the 60s outside I was shivering through my jacket inside. If you're looking for a great place to browse and maybe find an unexpected treasure, Antique Tobacco Barn is for you!

This is a wonderful antique barn. It is huge and probably one of the biggest I've ever seen. However, my husband saw the name of this place and somehow believed he'd find some great cigars. I'm giving three stars because we wasted and hour getting to this place for a cigar only to find a bunch of antiques.

Love this place! We always find a keep sake, lawn ornament or just something because. The staff all wear mask and gloves and are always ready to help. Every time we are in Weaverville or just near Asheville we stop by. Love it!

This place is huge! I love going into antique places and browsing but this place was a little overwhelming for me. I would have to go many times to see everything. I did see a lot of the same stuff. So if you are going because you need to decorate a vacation rental or restaurant, they have ample of the same things. There is a decent selection of books but too much for me to even look at in one turn. The prices are a little steep on some items. Really neat woods and pieces of furniture. But there are a bunch of apple crates out back that are antiques but they are apple crates..They were $22 or $24. If you wanted a set for your house it seems like it would just be cheaper to go to a hobby store and buy matching baskets. But if you have that kind of money to spend, it could work for you. I would definitely go back but in the Spring, its open so if it is cold outside, it is cold inside.

Well, it certainly is big. Thus ends my positivity about Antique Tobacco Barn. The wide range of wares is crammed into the stalls with no thought to display, promotion, walkways or any type of categorization. Yes, I know that each stall is run by a diiferent person leasing space, but the dictate from management seems to be "just dump it in there." With that level of attention to detail, I would expect bargain prices, but these are not to be found either. Every tag I checked was substantially higher than what I would expect based on years of going to places like this and even most "nice" antique stores. I don't honestly know if anyone works here. There was certainly no one stopping children from riding tricycles through the main aisles. We got worn out by the piles of goods, not finding much that was all that interesting and the shock of the prices when we did see something. I'm not likely to be back.

Traveling here on vacation and decided to stop and see this antique barn. The barn is very big filled with cool stuff but lots of the stuff was extremely over priced and stuff you could get at a goodwill. The roof was leaking onto lots of furniture and damaging wood as well. Nice place to stop and look around though.

This is one of my favorite antique shops. Stuff is always changing and it's a varied collection of things. I stop here once or twice a year when I am in town. It's the old skool kind of shop I like with all level of antiques. Purchases were made as always! I will be back. 45 minutes to cruise the place if you are in the area.

I was in heaven at this place when we visited during our week vacation in the area! It is the biggest store I've ever been in. Loaded with antiques and collectibles of all kinds! I found something both times we visited while there. A 800 silver tray marked as silverplate. And a kpm plate for $5! Yes there is a couple vendors with fake reproductions. But there obvious and I don't think there trying to pass them as real as there priced very fair. If you want to decorate your home without spending loads on real antiques. Those vendors are the go to spots. But other than 3-4 vendors like that. Everything else was either antique, vintage or high end collectibles. Most things are priced very fairly. Warning in winter it's cold as it's a massive industrial building unheated. But absolutely a must to go see.

My experience with the Antique Tobacco Barn in Asheville Cameron, part of management, was rude, condescending, and hateful. She insisted I wear a mask per Cooper's order but, per Cooper's order, was not honoring medical exemptions. So, I told her I would wear a mask. However, when simply TRYING to ask why she would honor one order but not the other, I was told I could leave and she was not there to listen to me, the customer, in the most hateful tone she could muster. Let's be clear, Cameron doesn't really care about mask and any protection they may offer. Half the people in there were not wearing the mask correctly. Cameron cares about being in control. She wants customers to wear a mask because the governor says so (the companies right to do so and I support this which is why I put on a mask rather than walk out). But when confronted with her own hypocrisy, she had no defense so, she did the only thing she's probably been doing her whole life, she got angry and handled herself poorly by lashing out at me. You never know how someone will treat you until a situation arises that test the fortitude of a person. That's when someone's true colors are revealed. Needless to say, Cameron, deep down, doesn't appear to be a good person. I kept my cool and was not rude to her but, I will not support her, or that business, while she is employeed there. As a result, I will let every person on social media, in print, and on the airwaves, know what you can expect from the Antique Tobacco Barn as long as Cameron is employeed there. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS BUSINESS. There are plenty of other places to go. I reccomend visiting Black Mountain.

Huge space and lots of Interesting things to look at, a lot of furniture but Overpriced on most everything I saw, cool stained glass windows, lots of garden things, shutters, old doors and iron gates, but again very over priced so wouldn't consider getting anything - there's a small coffee bar and restrooms inside. Would go back to look but not buy

Massive selection of rustic antiques. Prices were average for this range. Included large selection of hardwood slabs for projects. Freezing cold inside but a coffee bar at entrance.

Rustic, Salvaged, Vintage & Antique decor - for the exception of clothes (there are a few places) you can find pretty much anything here. So many awesome things for your home. A large barn filled with fun treasures. They have a little coffee bar, def great to have while you walk around and peruse. We enjoy spending the day their & we always find something unique there. Whenever we're in Asheville, we always make sure to stop by. Be sure to visit!!!

I was super excited when I walked in this place! It's one of those places where you just know you're going to find a gem and a deal, my favorite combination!!! Lots of unique pieces that are priced accordingly but also lots of little pieces that are priced very fairly! Give it a look!

We rolled into the Tobacco Barn on a recent trip to town. We went through it carefully and found many of the booths to be really narrow and deep and packed with a variety of treasures. You had to really get back into the booths to dig around and see all of the variety of items. We even noted a few newer re-pop items that looked old in the mix of some booths. There was a fair amount of dust coating many of the booths from normal air flow in the building I guess. Not as much killer large architectural stuff as I anticipated. We did manage to find a couple of underpriced sleepers tucked in the mix of antiques that we can resell for a profit. Many things were priced at full on retail but that is to be expected. The guys working the counter were nice and they actually reminded me of construction workers or lumber yard guys who happened to be working in an antique mall.

Awesome place. If you can't find it, keep looking because it is probably here, somewhere. It is a huge place, but most areas are very well organized. I will agree with some other reviews that the prices on some items are high. Also, be careful of what you are buying; the item label may not be correct. For instance, depression glass labeled "made in Taiwan". If you go on a cold day, bundle up! or stop by the coffee bar!

I don't understand why this is in the 3 stars.... this place is ginormous, and had so many cool things!! Their prices are kinda high on things like furniture, but I'm assuming they haggle. I know that we were impressed. We got there an hour before they close so we kinda rushed through it. But from what we saw we will be back!

I try to go here at least one afternoon a week to find treasures to decorate my home and to see what's new. It is a HUGE selection of quality items, antiques, collectibles, art, oddities, etc. The staff is really nice and very helpful. My only 2 complaints are: 1. Some of the prices in general seem to be high in comparison, and 2. One person's booth has furniture from Mexico, roughed up to appear to be antiques, and grossly overpriced. I spent a lot of time in Mexico in the past 12 years and I recognize almost all of these pieces as being priced - RETAIL in Mexico - 1/10th of the price marked retail here. So I can only imagine how little they cost wholesale. Buyer beware!

This place is okay. Fun to walk through but not a ton of antiques. Seems like lots of replicated antique products. They do have a coffee bar which is amazing!!! If you have an hour or two to kill, you may want to check it out and enjoy a coffee...

I love the entire Biltmore shopping area,however, the Tobacco Barn is my favorite. I've never gotten so many compliments on my home, and it's due to my shopping here. Tons of UNIQUE items, not just antiques, it's really cool stuff.

Everything you could think of to create your own fixer upper. Wish I could take home a little bit of everything. It is a new must stop shop every time I come to visit Asheville.

Very nice. If you can't find it at ATB, you just might not need it. High quality items organized and well displayed without being overly crowded.

I was not impressed with the Tobacco Barn. There was a large variety of items although some were not antiques and I felt the prices were overpriced. I have shopped for antique and vintage items both locally and abroad and did not see anything unusual at ATB. Customer service could be improved, too. I was interested in the price of an item and the person I asked did not hear me at first because he had earbuds in his ears listening to music and then his response was very short and didn't seem interested in helping me at all. I realize some people think this place is amazing, but all I saw were very overpriced items. The building was clean and there was a wide aisle in the center, but the majority of the booths were crowded and one could not move around to browse through the items. Overall, ATB is clean, overpriced, and has a nice variety of items.
