Google
Such a pleasant surprise to find a restaurant with a mind blowing variety of meats, seafood, vegan and gluten free choices. The atmosphere was fun and welcoming, and the service was friendly. We ordered the elk meat balls, bison burger, wild boar and pork schnitzel. Great flavours and generous portions. Highly recommend!

Google
I love the atmosphere and the food. The staff are super kind and generous. Our waiters Colin and Gustavo were really awesome. Great variety of foods. Something for everybody. I don’t know why this place isn’t busier!

Google
To start, the restaurant was clean with a lot of decorations. The staff was pretty friendly. The only downside to this is their menu. It is much too comprehensive. They have items from around the world. They should consolidate their menu and improve the dishes they serve. My co workers did not enjoy their food and I picked a pretty safe option (beef stew).

Google
Antoinette's restaurant was a genuine highlight of my trip to Whitehorse - right there with the Northern Lights and a visit to the Wildlife reserve. The vegan menu is epic - probably the best I've ever seen, full of absolutely delicious and unique choices. The food is prepared fresh and infused with flavor. Honestly, my only regret is that I didn't have more time to try more dishes! 😋 The atmosphere is also great! There are a lot of cheeky and genuinely informative posters (: Honestly - do not miss out on the opportunity to treat yourself at Antoinette's!

Google
I was recommended to visit Antoinette's by DeepSeek, who apparently knows quite a bit about good food, for a computer! Antoinette's was exactly what I was promised -- a creative place to try exquisite, local flavours at a fair price. The staff was super friendly and helped me navigate the large variety of dishes to choose one that was both wild and fresh and full of flavour. I'm so happy I came here - it was everything I hoped it could be!

Google
What a great experience! The three of us each enjoyed our very unique and flavourful dinner items tonight. The staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming, the vibe eclectic, and the food exemplary. Also to be enjoyed along with the very diverse food options are the extensive drinks that are available. This was our first visit here, but it will not be our last.

Google
The menu is extensive, with so many choices. We decided on then scallops for our appetizer. They were cooked just right and the creamy fireweed butter sauce was simply delicious! I chose the Caribbean steak, medium-rare. The garlic and other spices in butter to cook the steak lended the perfect flavor. My steak was tender and oh so delicious. My husband chose the Elk and mushroom Bitterallen. He absolutely loved it. I would definitely stop here again on our travels. Both the owner and waiter were attentive .

Google
Discovered this gem of a restaurant from word of mouth, so glad I got to experience this amazing restaurant myself! I got the Tobago Curry Crab Cakes With Dumplings and it was soooo good. Perfect portion and a hint of spice. My sister ordered the Ox Stew and it was delicious as well. If I am ever in Whitehorse again, this will be the first stop!!

Yelp
I would use FUN as the word to describe this place. There's a massive variety of dishes to try from all over the world and with their spin on it. I tried the three sisters soup and it was super flavourful. The highlight though was the fry bread and the salmon yam cake. Both of those were SO good and complimented the soup perfectly. The service was great and super attentive. They were so friendly! The space itself is super mismatched which just adds to the ambience of mom and pop shop type of feel. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The service was very professional and pleasant. The menu has something for everyone, from plant based to meat lovers.

Yelp
Excellent quality and exceptionally flavored dishes. Menu is varied and ready to accommodate any diet need/preference. Establishment was clean and service was appropriate and friendly.

Yelp
Great variety and service. Fresh hot food. Very impressed. Eat here! Will try the kangaroo or ostrich next time tho
google avatar

Timothy S.

Yelp
Food is so flavorful!! We accidentally stayed too late after closing savoring the food and the team was so friendly. Will definitely be back! 3 Sister's Stew was so good!!

Yelp
Great food. Many good vegan and gluten free options. Ambience is very nice and relaxing. Our server was very helpful and friendly.

Wade S.

Yelp
The owner is very knowledgeable and friendly person. He is happy to discuss any questions that you may about the different options available on the menu. Their main goal is for you and your group to have an enjoyable and memorable evening.

Yelp
4.5/5- Our family came by before leaving for a Northern Lights viewing, and with overcast skies and flurries of snow, Antoinette's pulled through to make the night great. We really enjoyed the food, and there's a full gluten free menu for one of our celiac afflicted! The best and worst part is the service. With such a large menu, the staff seems to have trouble remembering orders passed and getting them put into the system so we had some dishes come out much faster than others, and some had to be reordered altogether once the rest of the food had arrived. However, the staff also goes above and beyond in being present, knowing the histories of various dishes, and accommodating guests. It felt more like we had eaten at a friend's place than at another restaurant. Antoinette's is a gem wayyyy up north and I'm hoping they'll be around when next I can make the trip!

Yelp
This place feels like you are eating at a friends house - the staff/owners are so welcoming and so giving of their food and drink. We all had the pasta buffet, chicken curry, beef stew, and char pasta and everything was incredible! I'm gluten free and they had a whole menu for me and when the owner saw I was sad that I couldn't eat the Philippine pasta, he brought me out a bowl of just the sauce - talk about kindness!! Definitely visit this place if you are in town

Scott G.

Yelp
Incredibly diverse menu made it hard to choose! Everything we did decide on was excellent.

Caitlyn B.

Yelp
My family of 11 ate here during our time in Whitehorse while on a cruise and had a wonderful time! The owner was very nice and frequently checked in on how we were doing. The menu is very large but everything we ate was amazing! Cocktails weren't the best but we had such a fun time here it deserves 5 stars! Would highly recommend stopping here!

Trey J.

Yelp
10/10 Experience! Service and food was to die for. Skip all the other cruise recommendations. You are missing out if you do not come to Antoinette's!!

Hal M.

Yelp
Fabulous lunch, I fianlly got spicy food and my wife got a wonderful curry soup. Can't recommend it enough

Jake T.

Yelp
Super nice staff great food! Great environment, would highly recommend. Make sure to stop by

Connie D.

Yelp
Outstanding cuisine, I highly recommend this establishment. Gustavo was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful answering our questions to help us decide which things to order. We will definitely return.

Yelp
Coming from New York, the food capital of the world, and being a French Culinary trained chef, I am not easy to please. Yet this restaurant is the best kept secret in Whitehorse. Its unassuming frontage will deceive you as to the actual treasure that lays within. The food is diverse and unique with abounding flavor. You can eat there every night and not grow weary. The service is welcoming and attentive, and the owner James is a delight to speak with. Although, at first, the atmosphere may cause you some hesitation, the warmth and hospitality of the staff, and scrumptious cuisine, makes you look forward to returning. Hats off to the crew at Antoinette for a job well done.

Yelp
Amazing food, fun atmosphere! Great for groups or just for 2 people...Vegan options with flavors that are mouthwatering.

Yelp
I ordered their Aussie style kangaroo burger when I visited this place. They used a Caribbean flatbread to top. Cheddar cheese, pickled beets, a pineapple ring, a fried egg, sauteed onions, lettuce, ketchup, bbq sauce and sliced tomato were all included. Really messy to eat, but amazingly delicious when combined. Yum!

Yelp
Horrible service. There was sign outside that welcomes everyone to come in. I go inside and ask for a table. Half the restaurant was empty and they refused service. This was at 6pm on 8 or 9 June 2023. The Asians working were not very friendly and they like turning people away.
google avatar

Sangeetha M.

Yelp
This place is really cute. It caught my eye from the outside and I like the inside too. The menu was unexpected, there's all sorts of different cuisines to choose from. Portions were big and food was good. Probably the best I had in the Yukon. I really liked the elk and mushroom butterballen. I recommend ordering the cou cou sticks to start. The chocolate rum cake however was disappointing. I think it was steamed. It was very bland and not what I expected. It was also way too much for 2 people to share.

Reta D.

Yelp
Delicious and fresh food and great service. Extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend if you're looking for something more engaging- both for the palette and socializing.

Lesley B.

Yelp
Antoinette's came highly recommended by fellow guests at our B 'n B. It was a wonderful experience! The dishes were all delicious! The menu offers a large variety of ethnic foods from Caribbean to Indian, Asian to variations of contemporary cuisine. Each dish unique and flavorful. The crabcakes were wonderful as well as the duck! There are significant vegan options as well! Do yourself a favor and go to Antoinette's - be sure to try the lime and beer/pretzel ice-cream! The BOMB!

Yelp
I always dine at Antoinette's whenever I'm in Whitehorse, and it never disappoints . Even though it's under new ownership ( apparently Antoinette retired ) the new owner has retained all of the great Caribbean dishes while adding many more, including a lot of vegan and vegetarian options. We were a group of six and everyone was completely satisfied and happy with their meals. Every appetizer we had was fantastic and the cocktails were great too. This is a restaurant you don't want to miss if you live in or are just visiting Whitehorse !

Jimsy C.

Yelp
I visited this place early this year. And still, been wanting to try again their Duck Francois. BIG boneless duck breast cooked to perfection in a honey Dijon balsamic sauce with rhum seasoned carrots and Caribbean rice. We perfectly matched this with a JP Chenet Pinot Noir.

Yelp
Best meal we've had between Oklahoma, USA and Whitehorse (4,000 miles!!!) Shared the Halibut TNT and the Tocho! First- I wouldn't classify this restaurant as a "Diner" - especially if you are used to American style diners. Honestly I was expecting breakfast and burgers when Yelp said it was such. It's Caribbean style cuisine! The halibut tnt was sensational. Fish perfectly cooked (I'm so picky with fish-this was a risky choice for me) laid on what they call "coo coo" I've not had before- it was like the inside of a hush puppy but sliced like bread and not fried! Covered in a wonderful coconut tomato curry sauce. Served with float bread, which is a very soft bread, fried. The tocho was awesome. Also had a curry taste and we loved the curry chicken and fresh tomatoes! Glad we stopped here to eat passing through!

Texan I.

Yelp
Over priced. Poor service. We arrived 30 minutes before closing and they debated seating us. We should have left then.

Pamela R.

Yelp
Kind service fits the atmosphere and the food was delicious! Wonderful experiencing this variety in Whitehorse.

Hunter B.

Yelp
Went here on whilst driving to Anchorage just looking for somewhere to eat. It didn't look very inviting from the outside which almost dissuaded our group from entering but we did anyways. I ended up ordering the Pork Schnitzel and it was good. Far from the best I've ever had but it was good regardless. My main complaint is the service. Although the staff was nice, everything took very long to come and the waiter forgot our order.

Ray A.

Yelp
We stopped here based on our tour drivers recommendation and we are very happy we did. Don't believe the vague negative reviews. We were a party of 8 and every person loved the taste and quality of the food, I had vegan masala and the spices were sublime. They have a pretty amazing menu with a lot of meat options but also a full vegan menu. I'll be back someday!!

Yelp
Great food and service! Love the variety when your looking for something different to eat!

Yelp
First time in Whitehorse and having dinner here has made day 1 in this beautiful area of the country fantastic. I'm not what was better - the amazing food - the friendly service - or the passion the server had for her home town and the history behind the restaurant. Our server Nika was perfect, can't say enough about how great she was. Food was super fresh and healthy portions. Great presentation and the float was so tasty! This is a must if you are staying in town. Loved it!

Yelp
I wrote what was a 3 star review for me and my girlfriend's visit to this restaurant on Google. It read (originally) like this: "Food was good and well cooked but between one appetizer and two main dishes, the total cost of food came to over $100 dollars. Personally found the food not worth the cost." Once this review was posted, the business manager of Antoinette's Google listing felt it necessary to call us liars, say we "got too drunk to add", and complained about us tipping (while also not pulling up the correct bill). We didn't order any alcohol that day as we are generally not social drinkers. I made a reply calling the business manager's review out for calling us drunk along with the other oddities of the whole reply, and the review has now been pulled down for review for potential abuse (if you try to find it in the next few days while it's under review it will not show up for you). I would not be surprised if it was manually flagged by the same person that wrote the response to me. If true, that's an abuse of the abuse flagging system. Overall, I am incredibly dissapointed with current management and will not be returning to this restaurant until it changes hands again. To see the review I wrote and the reply from the business owner, if it is not on Google Reviews (although I don't see why it would be taken down, I was rather cordial in all of my wording), there is a tripadvisor review of a similar fashion to this one with the google review screenshotted and added as photos to the review.

Mark S.

Yelp
Worst service and food that I've ever experienced. The only reason I gave them 1 star was because there was no way to give them less. Avoid this place like the plague. The 4 star rating that you see was earned by the previous owners.

Allison M.

Yelp
Amazing food. I had the oxtail stew and my husband had the duck Francois. They were both tasty. I don't know how they made the oxtail sweet and spicy so well but it was so good. Would definitely come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent service and tasty food! We started off with an excellent appetizer and the elk and mushroom bitterballen - it was really good. Will come back next time we are in town

Yelp
This restaurant was delicious!! Very small menu, but everything is tasty and there was a HUGE selection of daily specials. We tried almost the entire entrée section of the menu between the four of us. Our favorite main dish that we tried was the chicken curry stew. It had good heat without being unbearably spicy. We started with the salmon pate and ended with the coconut creme brulee, which were both amazing. As for drinks, the beer and wine were both a little warm for our taste. I had a Coco Morrison which was delicious and I may try to make a copy at home! The tonic water gave it just enough of a bite to make it refreshing and not too sweet. Overall, delicious food and would definitely recommend!

Yelp
Lived up to the reviews! Ribs were tender, curry chicken stew and shrimp were excellent (for Whitehorse). Would be 3.5-4 stars back home, but rounding to 5 given the location. Place was obviously understaffed but some of the customers were obviously horrendous. We sat by the window opposite an obnoxious group of 8ish who kept complaining and cussing (despite kids) and when a kid dropped stuff saying things like "oh don't worry they have people to clean your s*** up." They were obviously drunk and talking about being high, and wouldn't shut up. So yes, expect slow service and very frazzled staff (seems like a chronic problem based on TripAdvisor reviews), but the food is worth stopping by. Only thing is, tell your staff to at least make eye contact when folks walk in, the wait won't be as bad that way.

Pat H.

Yelp
Delicious! Went for lunch on Sunday. I had the scallops appetizer which was a perfect light meal and very flavorful. My husband enjoyed the Buffalo Benedict which was also really good. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful food. And live steel drum entertainment for the next 7 days. I will be back.

Yelp
- casual, easygoing atmosphere with friendly service; busy place, abuzz with diners enjoying every moment, every morsel - short menu with a variety of choices to suit anyone's preferences (three words: Crispy Guacamole Salmon = my own slice of food heaven) - moderately priced - delectable dinners artfully presented with an abundance of flavours - absolutely delightful!

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise to find a taste of Tabago and Trinidad in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada! Excellent....we will be back and will let our friends in Juneau know! The spiced pork jerk with pineapple salsa and grilled sweet potato was scrumptious and the spiced rum cake for desert was over the top.

Yelp
Caribbean food down the street from our hotel in Whitehorse? Okay. They were able to accommodate our group of 12 by setting up a large table just inside the door to the left. The restaurant is actually larger than it looks on the outside. I shared a bottle of cab Sauvignon to go with my snapper dish. Their wine selection was good, the snapper was perfectly cooked at flavorful. It was also a healthy portion of food. This place isn't cheap, but not a lot of places up here are. I will definitely return when I am back in September.

Yelp
My daughter and I arrived in Whitehorse from Vancouver for a vacation on November 11th. We have dined at several 5-star restaurants in Vancouver and last night we discovered Whitehorse's hidden gem - Antoinette's. It is a little off the main strip at 2141 4 Avenue but it is far better than the other 6 better known restaurants that we've tried in Whitehorse. And it's certainly the most reasonably priced for the superb excellence and quality of the food. My daughter had the Elk and Mushroom Bitterballen and I had the Wild Boar Keshi Yena ABC (historically a slave dish made from the scrap meats, preserved fruits and cheese rinds discarded by the masters of Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao Islands). They also serve fabulous mocktails (which can be converted to cocktails). My daughter had the OPC Fizz (orange and pineapple juice with a hint of cranberry juice topped with lime soda) and I had the Cuddles on the Beach (cranberry, grapefruit and peach juice topped with ginger ale). The dinner was so filling we had no room for dessert. Antoinette's is now our FAVOURITE restaurant in Whitehorse and we will certainly go back for dinner at least one more time (and try to squeeze some dessert in) before heading home to Vancouver. I would have given it 10 stars if there were more stars available in the ratings! A definite MUST TRY if you are ever in Whitehorse!
google avatar

Francois D.

Yelp
Interesting food - definitely something I wouldn't have expected on my first visit to Whitehorse. Go figure - the tastes of Trinidad & Tobago just about as far north as you can go in Canada. Service was a bit inconsistent but the dishes were delicious. Will definitely be back during my stay here.
google avatar

Yelp
Our group of nine had a wonderful dining experience at this lively and friendly restaurant in late June. Everyone enjoyed their appetizers, dinner selections, and drinks. Service was excellent; our server was in the Yukon from Britain. Four of us ordered the Moroccan goat stew which was outstanding. Flavorful and attractive presentations of all dishes. We we hardly needed - but did order one desert, a chocolate truffle plate that was so rich it had to be shared. Amazing! Looking forward to a return visit next time I'm in Whitehorse.
google avatar

Jeremy Or Nicole N.

Yelp
We had the Cou Cou Sticks to start, then the Lamb special (wrapped in bacon) and the spiced pork. They were incredible! Also, make sure to have a Jojito and:or a Carib beer with your meal - delish!!!!
google avatar

Ryan J.

Yelp
Came here on my first night in the Yukon - this place came strongly recommended from a few friends. All great things to report. I will say that Caribbean cuisine is not really my preference, and to note that almost everything has a bit of a southern flair. Even my bison burger had pineapple salsa on it - so you can expect those touches everywhere. Incredibly friendly staff, varied menu and excellent food choices. This place has a reputation in town for being excellent and it really is. It was also packed, which indicates how popular it is. Worth a visit, especially if you love this type of food. Who'd have thought this type of place would be in Whitehorse?
google avatar

Alex K.

Yelp
If i could give this place a better rating than 5 stars, I would! An absolutely delightful place and unexpected treasure in this one horse town. Great service, fantastic atmosphere and delicious food. Place has a lovely energy and a great vibe. 10/10+++++++++

Yelp
Just saw this restaurant and very tasty looking entrees featured on the Dabl Tv Chnl show, You Gotta Eat Here. I've added it to my list of places I plan to eat at when visiting this area of the country. Loved the owner/chef's culinary techniques and food descriptions (and her accent!). So, as we eat with our eyes, too, 4.5 stars I give to Antionette's!!
