Antonelli San Marco

We booked a truffle hunt, cooking class, and wine tasting with Wendy. The experience exceeded our expectations! Wendy and her assistant, Nicoletta, welcomed us into their kitchen and walked us step by step through the process of preparing traditional Umbrian dishes. Wendy’s teaching style is one of patience and encouragement. We enjoyed the fruits of our labor paired with Antonelli wines at lunchtime. We highly recommend this experience!

While I didn't stay at the hotel, the winery itself is housed in a beautiful building with stunning views. However, the tasting experience felt overpriced and the pours were quite stingy compared to other local vineyards. While the reds were unremarkable, the white wines were truly excellent. Their Vigna Tonda is the standout—easily the best dry white I’ve ever had, boasting a lovely color and a fantastic nose and flavor profile. It is well worth a visit just for a bottle of that.

Took a private group cooking lesson & wine tour with Wendy (there were 12 of us). The cooking lesson/lunch was a fun and educational experience and I'm a professionally trained chef who gives cooking lessons herself! Wendy is very well informed and she has her pulse on every detail about this winery, this region and the kitchen. The wines are very good and the tour was good. Highly recommended! Beautiful setting overlooking the vineyards and countryside.

My family and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Antonelli San Marco whilst traveling through Montefalco, and we were absolutely thrilled with our experience. From start to finish, it was a day to remember.
The winery tour was exceptional. Our tour guide Wendy provided us with a fascinating insight into the winemaking process as well as the region itself. She was not only knowledgeable but also passionate about their craft, making the tour engaging and informative for all of us.

What truly stole the show was the phenomenal Umbrian lunch served during the tasting. The gourmet spread paired perfectly with the wines we sampled, creating an exquisite gastronomic experience. Each dish was carefully crafted and bursting with flavours that complemented the wines beautifully. They went above and beyond, ensuring that our group of 13 people were taken care of and even provided a special gluten-free menu for my sister who has dietary restrictions. The ambiance of the winery was also charming, with picturesque vineyard views adding to the overall experience. We left Antonelli San Marco with full hearts and satisfied palates, eager to return for another unforgettable visit. Highly recommended for wine enthusiasts and anyone seeking a delightful culinary adventure!

The wine tasting was excellent as was the bruschetta that they provided, just a simple grilled bread with their olive oil. The wine that we tried were diverse and there were choices at several price points. We ended up bringing 8 bottles home

Professional, friendly,this is a very high quality Montefalco' s winery!!one of the oldest in the area with a very high quality standard of all its wines that I have tasted!! Thank you!!

Our wine group is enjoying a 1 week stay in this region, and came to Antonelli for a cooking lesson followed by lunch with wine tasting. Our fabulous teacher Wendy Aulsebrook was a natural teacher with an effervescent and welcoming personality. Originally from Australia, she had that charming Down Under manner which is so engaging. We made fresh pasta, completely by hand, foccacia, roasted vegetables and Umbrian cookies. The wines were excellent, and very affordable. I have enjoyed many cooking lessons over the years, but this was definitely a topper. I highly encourage a visit to this excellent winery and take a lesson with Wendy ! Your heart and your stomach will thank you.

The wines are delicious and very reasonably priced. The views are spectacular. Highly recommend!
