We really enjoyed the location (near old town, bus stop, ticket offices and Nice restaurants and bars). The girl on night reception is really helpful and kind. Both reception workers are awesome, speak good English and they have skills of hospitality and problem solve. The rooms are clean, the ones with windows have good ventilation and you don’t need a fan. We were there on August and it was very windy! We got private room. Toilets are clean and showers are good. Maybe more hangers in the shower rooms would be helpful. WiFi works perfect!

We rocked up without a booking and was happily given 2 beds straight away. Nice big dorm room, simple but clean and really comfy. Such a great location and really good price! Had a lovely night chatting for hours with Doa, working in reception. Such a friendly and smart person, thanks heaps girl!

Anzac hostel is in a great location, everything is walking distance through Çanakkale. The staff were incredible, they helped us with tours (we recommend there Gallipoli tour!!), planning the rest of our Turkey trip and arranging buses. ||We stayed in a room with a window. The curtains were very thin and this resulted in the white light from the hostels sign, illuminating our room all through the night. This was frustrating to say the least. ||The showers and bathrooms need upgrading. They were old and smelt. ||Though in saying that, I would stay at this accommodation again purely for the wonderful staff and epic location.

I am 76, so my review probably reflects that.|Last year I stayed in the dorm, this year I decided to book a single room on the 2nd floor. I knew the room would be tiny because I knew the hostel from last year. But I didn't reckon with the total lack of ventilation. I woke with a headache most mornings.|On this floor there are 2 toilets. In 1 the door does not lock. All the showers on this floor are in the same facility and the cubicles are tiny. Since the facility is unisex you must go into the cubicle fully dressed, shower, then dress in the wet cubicle! Also the only sinks are within the shower area, so you can only shave and brush your teeth along with the women. None of this worried me, but I can't speak for the women|There are lots of good points about Anzac House. The beds are comfy. The place is kept really clean by a lady who seems to always be working. The staff are great, very helpful and cheerful which makes up for the slightly worn feel of the place.||What would massively improve Anzac House would be a chill out place. The weather was mixed in October so I spent time reading, the only place for that was in my tiny room. I like to mix with other travellers so missed that here.||None of this will keep me away. The staff try really hard and the place is clean with comfy beds. Of course it is also inexpensive so I guess I will be back. Maybe with some tools to fix that toilet door!

When we stay there, there were only 3 people at the flat and they were out all day. That's why it wasn't noisy and the toilets were clean. The room was clean enough to sleep. The sheets were old. They don't give slippers and shampoo. There is no air conditioner. So if you will come in summer, you can't breath. Our room was a twin room with a window seeing the street. But some rooms don't have a window. But this is the cheapest place. If you are only looking for a place to sleep, this place is for you.

A convenient place to stay downtown for cheap. Extremely well-located for ferry/tours to Gallipoli and for dining options.||The room contained 14 beds but only 2 power points in one corner. ||There was no fab or air conditioner so we had to keep the windows open. With a loud bar downstairs open til ~1am (as expected in town centre) this was not ideal and kept us all awake.||The welcome was polite but curt and a hard sell on tours.

We had a twin room in the front - which was nice for light and breeze in the daytime, but at night there were fluorescent lights shining in our room and a ton of noise from the Ramadan festivities in front. Our second day the wifi and water both turned off - for the entire day! The staff however were very friendly and helpful to try to resolve issues and help us figure out busses. Lots of cheap tasty restaurants close by. It's not perfect, but it's the cheapest place we found and overall still a good option for budget backpackers.

This place is fine but it is lacking in certain respects. It feels more like a hotel with no real common areas to mingle in. This means it's lacking in atmosphere which could be a lot better. The WiFi in top floor wasn't working which meant getting WiFi in the big dorm was problematic.|On plus side it is by far the cheapest accommodation in Canakkle so it does the job if you just want cheap accommodation.
