Wonderful tropical resort to completely unwind. Do as much or as little as you want. Immaculate presentation throughout the whole resort. The setting is just stunning! Comfortable rooms serviced by the friendly staff daily. Food was amazingly tasty. Best eye fillet we have tasted and the fish was cooked to perfection! Vegetables and salad always so fresh. Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended staying at Aore Resort. Thank you Aore for an incredible stay.

I was after a diving holiday on the Coolidge and the Aore Island Resort was suggested to me by my travel advisor.|OK, I love the place, the setting is magical. The accommodation is great and the staff were wonderful.|It is obviously a bit dearer than being in Luganville, but the setting and peace and quiet made it all worthwhile.||The staff are amazing, the meal good, with a few options (lunch - 4 options - 20-30,000 v, dinner - entree - 2 options 10-20000, mains 4 options, 22-30000 v), The meals were great, no problem there. I was probably a bit more pampered than most as there were very few other visitors due to the shut down of Air Vanuatu.||For divers, you are locked into the restaurant for meals, although there are boat trips over to Santo the timing doesn't workout for meals.||Good other activities, snorkeling, kayaks, fat bikes, and other stuff. ||However, the big shortcoming is the wifi. Do not rely on it, or even hope for it. These days wifi is essential to maintain contact with the rest of the world, and in my case, my wife. ||I spoke with staff when I first had issues with it, nothing happened to resolve the lack of coverage. I understand not having coverage throughout the whole of the resort, but sitting in the restaurant/reception area and having no coverage 99.9% of the time was less than stellar. It got to the point that I had to catch one of their boats to Santo and find the local internet provider (Digicel) to buy a SIM with some data on it so I could maintain contact with my wife. These days, this lack of coverage when promised is unacceptable.||The only other issue that some people may have an issue with is that there is no air conditioning. There is lots of shade, lots of fans, and usually some air flow. If there isn't it can be uncomfortable, but I was there in the wet season so I was prepared for it.

After our arranged accommodation was cancelled, we sent a Facebook message to Aore Island Resort asking if they had accommodation available for the night. They responded in minutes offering us a bungalow and giving us all the information we needed. We caught their boat across and were met by a member of staff who apologised that our bungalow wasn't quite ready. We had a cocktail in the bar, but within 10 minutes, she'd returned to take us to our bungalow. It was beautiful with everything we needed and extra touches, including a welcome coconut to drink. We had dinner in the restaurant and they cooked a special meal for me as I'm vegetarian which was delicious. When we asked what time we needed to check out the following day, they invited us to stay as long as we liked. We had breakfast with free champagne the next morning with excellent service and food. When it was time to leave, the boat came to the front of the bungalow to collect our baggage so we didn't have to carry it. The resort was beautiful, the staff were beautiful and we had a beautiful time!

Oh, Aore! We are a family of five and spent a week in the NSW school holidays on Aore. From the moment we stepped off the boat on the jetty we realised we'd made the right choice. The hotel is styled impeccably, clean and relaxing. The rooms are lovely, with rattan features and comfy beds. We were lulled to sleep each night by the sound of the ocean a few steps from our verandah. We paddle-boarded, canoed, snorkelled (snorkel gear comes with every room), cycled around the island, took day trips to the beautiful blue holes on Santo. There was so much to do.|A huge highlight for all of us was the food - especially the lobster! Oh my! We ate so well (and so healthily). The staff were gorgeous, and nothing was too much trouble. |A big shout-out to Brad, Lisa and Montana for being such awesome hosts. Lisa - I just loved chatting to you - what you have done with Aore is truly special and we can't wait to come back.

Breathtaking scenery with outstanding service, staff and facilities.||The food is extremely flavoursome and substantial.||The staff are outstanding, courteous, professional and very welcoming.||The entire resort is immaculate and well tendered by the staff.||Escape hustle and bustle but can catch the resort ferry to return with ease and comfort.||Snorkeling, kayaking, bikes at your doorstep. (All provided for to guests)||Thank you Brad for a great time. Looking forward to returning.

We have just left the resort and had an amazing week. Location is amazing. Perfect spot to wake up each day and look out at the water. Food was incredible and all the staff were polite and helpful. Highly recommended.

This was my second time staying at Aore Island Resort. After being ferried over we went to our rooms and were greeted with fresh coconuts. This was a bit rushed. Lunch wasn't an option as the kitchen was closed.||The snorkelling is great, but the resort is definitely quieter than my first visit. That hasn't translated into better service unfortunately. The menu options are too repetitive and needs an a la carte offering. Meals were hit and miss with our steak overcooked, chips not cooked and portions for entrees tiny. We ordered a lamb rack entree for it to come out as a single lamb cutlet with some pumpkin puree. For $30 AUD I expected more.||The cocktails are not up to stardard unfortunately. The margaritas are watered down and our espresso Martinis came out warm. Warm cocktails in 30 degree weather is unacceptable. ||WiFi only works in the Nakamal. It's not the best. After evening meals we wanted to relax but the bar was closing early and the staff were watching football on their phones which detracted from the ambience. Some staff need more training, while others were warm, welcoming and helpful.||As for amenities, we went to use the resort games, but they are missing too many pieces. There is no nightime entertainment, no band or fireshow. We did see the water ladies perform, and that was a beautiful experience. The kayaks need proper seats, and the bikes need to be upgraded.||For 4 nights, we spent nearly $1200 on food and drinks alone, but the quality didn't match the price. The owners don't engage with you unless you instigate something, and with past feedback, I don't think they'd be receptive to alternate opinions or criticism.|||Idyllic location with turquoise waters. An easy boat ride from Santo island. We spent 3 nights and stayed in studio sea view room. Was good waking up to the sound of the waves.||Things to note:||Food is expensive and is set, changing everyday. Think Australian prices and some. An a la carte menu would be ideal as there are limited food options. Also, this is not an adults only resort, there were a lot of kids and it unfortunately brings down the ambience. The WiFi only works in the Nakamal and is poor. We spent over $300 a night with no WiFi in the room and no room service||Being away from the main island in Vanuatu it can be hard to get to as Air Vanuatu are extremely unreliable. Make sure you have insurance as Aore Island Resort is not cheap. I booked initially with Agoda and was told they hadn't received my booking and that they have told Agoda to remove their listing. This is still happening and is a bit frustrating as Agoda is owned by booking.com so to label them a scam site seems a stretch.||One thing to note is the tours are expensive and if you are after a cheap holiday, Vanuatu is not for you.

To whom it may concern,||||I have recently stayed at your alleged resort on Aore island from the 28/11/2024 to the 05/12/2024. I have a few points I would like to bring to your attention which would be beneficial for you and all future visitors.||||1. I understand that it is a tropical location and there are bugs that come with that, but there has been no measures taken to try and reduce the impact of said bugs on the guests of this “resort”. Not even a f citronella candle is in site to combat the bug problem. Instead you thought one communal can of bug repellent will do the trick located at the bar. What a f joke that is to cut some costs.||2. The way we are expected to eat like we are on a school camp is outrageous considering the price tag you slapped on this “resort”. Like seriously can’t even have f lunch if we don’t come in between 12pm-2pm. God forbid you leave this god forsaken island to go explore another part of Vanuatu and want to eat outside of those hours. ||3. The quality of food that is on offer here is foul. My partner got her steak brought to her with a serving of f flies on the side. Could’ve at least salted them for her f me dead. This is after she spent the first night here with severe gastro. The portions are outrageous as well considering we are practically told what times we have to eat. It’s like this island “resort” is a fat camp. Ate my dinner of fish in 4 f mouthfuls and got charged a premium for it, didn’t even taste good.||4. Now onto dessert, the one thing that people like on this menu of yours is the chocolate moose, appears you have more chance of winning the powerball jackpot than getting a serving of the chocolate moose. It’s not like there’s 100 people at this s hole either, would be lucky if there was 20 people and you can’t even cater for that.||5. The accommodation situation is another thing, once again I understand that we are in a tropical location but the bugs that we are sleeping with is foul. They end up splattered on our bed sheets and we are expected to sleep in that. Not to mention the geckos, I was laying down on my bug infested bed on Sunday afternoon and a full gecko s landed on my chest. Not only that but our entire room has been peppered in gecko s. It smells like a petting zoo in our accommodation and it is absolutely unacceptable, especially for the money that we have paid.||6. Entertainment is a word that must mean nothing to you. Apart from next to none activities to do throughout the day, there is no evening entertainment such as a band, fire shows or anything. No exposure to culture which is what happens at real resorts in tropical locations in the pacific islands. We arrive to have dinner at the time we are told once again, have our fat camp sized meals and are left with no form of entertainment or anything. The bar staff pack the place up as soon as you have your last mouthful and you are made to feel like you need to go back to your accommodation by 8pm to stare at the f ceiling cause you don’t even have TVs in the rooms. I’ve got nothing against the no tv situation but if you can’t provide any entertainment for guests then you have to have them in the rooms. It’s a f joke that you’ve got going on and the guests are the butt of it.||7. Brad, the owner, haven’t seen this bloke since I arrived at this hell hole. Most owners or managers of resorts mingle with the guests in the evening and come check in on the guest around dinner time to see how everything is going and if there is anything that they can do to enhance their stay at the resort. Nope, not this bloke. Seems to be playing a real life game of where’s Wally. I don’t think it’s any accident that he has made himself so scarce either. He has two eyes and a brain I would assume so he would be able to see the absolute atrocity he is offering up to guests for a premium price hence why he is nowhere to be seen. Must live by the out of sight out of mind mantra. ||||The list goes on and on but I can’t be f wasting another thought on this fraudulent establishment, there’s no chance of getting any refund or compensation from people like you but I won’t be recommending this s hole to a single person.||||Regards, yet another disgruntled guest.
