AP Cabanas Beach & Nature | Tavira

Here is my reason for giving it a 2! I think if it was not for the staff, waiters, bartenders and receptionists I would give it a „1“. The hotel looks quite impressive online. Many amenities. The 10 € per towel is fine because you get your money back when you turn in your towel. But I agree lots of bird droppings in and around the pool, need to find a solution to it. We had a good time at the bar and bartenders we had did great. Regarding the food we only ate breakfast there nothing else and it was a bit disappointing despite the variety! Orange juice is from a box not fresh. While you see lots of oranges orchards around loaded with oranges. I don’t think we will return and go back to our old place. Just wanted to try something new.

This was our first time in Cabanas. The staff work hard and we're friendly. The rooms were not brilliant but ok. The cleaning staff made the beds but had to ask excessively for water and toilet rolls. My bedding had a rip in it which was there the whole holiday meaning the bed was just made and not changed. The towels were dingy. |We had excessive rain whilst there and the hotel flooded in certain areas. Water leaking into the building towels and buckets all over the place. I went in the spa which had rain leaking through the roof into the pool area. It was a very small and uninviting place. |I did not get a warm meal the whole time I was there. There was plenty of choice but after trying the meat a few times I gave up. Boot leather cold food is not for me. Even after complaining it did not improve .to me everything was really salty and cold. Not what I would expect from a 4 star hotel.|The new yr eve party was a huge disappointment. After the meal you had to wait over an hour for the party to start but there was no where to sit and enjoy a drink as the sofas had been moved out and the other area they were opening up wasn't until a certain time. I ended up going to my room. We were not the only people having this opinion. We will not be returning

Returning to this hotel for a 3 night escape in December. We came last year at this time & loved it. So this year we had an expectation and it was surpassed. A quiet off season corner of calm, delicious food which easily accommodated my allergy requirements. Outstanding staff member was Sylvia Gaspan, managing the restaurant and paying attention to all guests needs. We used the spa area, the sauna looks out onto the garden and we watched the sun set. Hired bikes and cycled on the local routes. Walked into Tavira, took about an hour over the salt planes and an easy path to follow. Enjoyed the live music and the drinks in the evening. Mainly the chilled vibe at this time of year is why we returned, and will do again.

An absolutely fantastic hotel. Tranquil- no disco! Close (4 minutes)to the Rio Formosa a very peaceful,tidal river estuary. Immaculately clean and tidy. Large outdoor pool. Rooftop pool and lounge looking out over the estuary to the sea. Some of the best food I've had the pleasure to eat. Very friendly and helpful staff. Negatives, none whatsoever. So pleased to have found this place. Will be sad to leave,but will definitely be back.

A superb quality hotel, in a quiet and select area on the edge of Cabanas. You can walk in to Cabanas with 10-15 minutes. The hotel offers a very relaxing experience with cozy and comfortable lounges, the main reception and bar offer a great array of alcoholic and non alcoholic drink, speciality wine and spirits. A good coffee is available at the bar, but you can use the coffee machines day and night. The main pool is large and offers great sunbathing with plenty of sun beds, whilst the solarium offers a warm small indoor pool, a jacuzzi suite, sauna and steam. Massages are available at an extra cost. The bedrooms offer all the facilities expected with hot showers, his and hers sinks. Comfy beds, decent towels, fridge and complimentary still mi real water and with a good value upgrade, you can be treated to a quality coffee machine, robes, slippers etc. All room outlooks are pleasant but the River and Nature park room views are a real treat. The staff at AP Cabanas Beach were very attentive and friendly. To sum up our Christmas 2025 holiday was AMAZING.

Had a Beautiful stay at AP Cabanas Beach and Nature in Portugal. This was our first time visiting Portugal and have to say it had been our best holiday for us. The hotel staff were welcoming with a welcoming with smile all round, very were professional from front of house main desk, Spa therapist, restaurant and room service all delivered to a high standard. That is what made our stay a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel itself is amazing, lots of space to relax you did not feel over crowded. Loved the variety of high quality food choices across the 2 onside restaurant Ria and Grill which we could book 24 hours and the staff went over and above to amend a meat order due to my sister not eating meat which was lovely of them at short notice being that it was a set meal. Flor de Sal The main buffet restaurant had a delicious range and loved that the restaurant accommodate as range of eating buffet fro. Breakfast, lunch and dinner up to 10pm serving. The rooftop views were incredible as you can see from my photos. I highly recommend this hotel for a Beautiful and relaxing stay. We just Loved every minute of our stay with you AP Cabanas Beach and Nature and Thank you so much for the beautiful gift of your finist red wine that was sweet of the team x

The hotel facilities were generally excellent, the pool area one of the best we have seen. However it was spoiled by the childish behavior of the young golfers. Foul language from them was the norm (also very boisterous behavior), so much so after 2 attempts to use the roof top bar we gave up, and just used the one downstairs. In addition to the poor behavior the golfers also ordered multiple drinks at a time, on one occasion 20 drinks of various hues, causing a 30min wait to get served. A 15 minute wait was very frequent. In addition it was a 20min walk to the town centre, 15 min to the beach (which was excellent). I don't want to walk miles to have a change of scenery. I was also lucky in that I enjoy seafood which was excellent, but if you are a carnivore then the choice is somewhat limited. The staff were uniformly excellent, including the reception, could not fault. One other problem which is not confined to this hotel and difficult to control are the vaping fraternity who think it acceptable to vape in public spaces. I find this very repellent due to the asthma attacks I get if I am within 2meters of a vape. I don't know how you stop arrogant people who persist in vaping in public indoor spaces! A minor point are the chairs and sofa's if you have a bad back then the only comfortable chairs I found were those in the dining room, TV room and the balcony, the rest gave me a bad back. If the golfers had not been there it would have rated 4 star a least, a pity, as there was much to recommend, no reserved sun-loungers a nice environment in the grounds and close to the nature reserve. Despite the nature reserve mosquitos were not a problem, wasps were a nuisance.
