I have written about this wonderful hotel many times. Recently I had to stay overnight in Faro and of course I stayed in the Eva Senses Hotel, the very welcoming lady receptionist was so helpful and kind. Unfortunately I had to leave very early in the morning so a taxi was organised and a precautionary wake up call. |As always my room was exceptionally clean, everything I needed was in the bathroom, very very comfortable bed, air conditioning. Excellent. Indeed when I was in my room I received a call from reception to confirm my taxi reservation and wake up call. In the morning everything went so smoothly. |I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Had a wonderful stay here back in May. The Hotel and staff were amazing. We had a lovely room overlooking the marina and enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the world go by and the amazing storks nesting over Faro. The room was nice, airy and clean, with safe, minibar, coffee and tea. Breakfast was lovely, plenty to choose from and topped up frequently. Wonderful views while having breakfast. Whilst we didn't eat in the restaurant we ate 4 times in the Adao steak house. The quality of food was fantastic (gorgeous mushroom sauce). Perfect cooked steak and burgers and the sweets were amazing. Service was impeccable. Loved the cocktail bar, very nice to have a selection of non alcoholic drinks, the staff were very attentive. Can't really fault the hotel at all. A few noisy guests late at night but you get that everywhere. Thanks for a wonderful time, can't wait to return.

Pros and cons 1 - The location: it’s very close to the bus station and the pier. 2 - View from rooftop: no matter you have breakfast in the morning, swim in the afternoon or have a drink in the evening, the view from the rooftop is definitely a bonus. 3 - Potato cakes served at breakfast: delicious! However, 4 - the orange juice at breakfast: too much sugar and flavouring essence. 5 - the pastry at breakfast: eh! 6 - shampoo, shower gel, conditioner: 3-in-1! 7 - the facilities in the room - need to be renovated… or at least painted 8 - the room is not sound-proofed, you can hear the other guests next door and in the corridor, and also the lively commercial street downstairs from the window. P.S. I might be too strict for the rating, however, this rating is based on the fact that this is a 4-star hotel and also on their offer. I feel sorry to say that the 2-star hotel I stayed in Lisbon actually won after the comparison of my experience…

Had a lovely 4 night stay in this hotel overlooking the Marina, great view!|The room was lovely and the staff made our stay special with little touches here and there. All the staff were excellent very helpful and friendly. Like other reviews the pool could do with a little TLC but definitely didn’t put us off at all. |We had no problems with noise or building work during our stay as mentioned in other reviews!|The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice , drinks in the hotel were very reasonable , great value for money, the hotel is probably in one of the best locations in Faro , stunning views and also very close to bus & train station and just a very short walk to the ferry to Faro beach , would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is nowhere near 4-star standard and absolutely not worth the money I paid. What was supposed to be a comfortable solo holiday stay turned into one of the most frustrating and disappointing hotel experiences I’ve ever had.||I was placed in two different rooms during my visit, and shockingly, neither of them met even the most basic expectations for cleanliness—something that should be a given at this price level.||||The first room was appalling. It was visibly dirty, with stains on mirrors, doors, furniture, curtains, and even the TV screen. Some furniture was broken, and a lamp had exposed wires hanging from the ceiling. To make matters worse, the shower drain was clogged, making it impossible to shower properly. When I immediately reported these cleanliness issues to reception, housekeeping came but made only the slightest effort—one mirror was wiped down, and that was it. Everything else was left exactly as it was.||||The next day, after another complaint (and even discovering that the room phone didn’t work), I was moved to a second room. At first, it looked fresher, but it quickly became clear that standards were no better. There were still stains on the tables and mirrors, and to my disgust, I found long strands of hair from a previous guest stuck to the shower wall and the hair dryer. These were obvious, visible issues, yet the hotel’s housekeeping ignored them.||||What shocked me the most was not just the poor condition of the rooms, but the total lack of care. It felt like this hotel has no standards for cleanliness whatsoever and is only interested in taking guests’ money without delivering on the 4-star promise they advertise.||||After two nights of feeling uneasy and stressed in dirty rooms, I decided to cut my stay short. Sadly, I was told the remaining nights were non-refundable, so I left with both my holiday ruined and a significant amount of money wasted.||I cannot express enough how disappointing this experience was. Instead of enjoying my trip, I spent it dealing with frustration, dirt, and a hotel that simply doesn’t care.||||If you value your money, your comfort, and your peace of mind, do not book this hotel. It is not 4-star quality—it is a rip-off.

We arrived at the hotel at 3:40 PM and were informed that our room was not yet ready. This was absolutely fine, as we had planned to go out for lunch anyway. After a short while, we returned to the hotel and were told once again by a very kind assistant that the room was still not ready. We waited patiently, and about 20 minutes later, we were informed that our room was now ready. We were also pleasantly surprised to receive a complimentary upgrade to a marina view room, which we appreciated.||However, our experience took a disappointing turn when we requested pool towels. We were informed there was a €10 charge, which we were happy to pay. I offered to pay by card, but was told it was cash only. I explained that we didn’t have any cash on us. The assistant said he would check with his manager to see if card payment could be accepted.||At this point, a man I believe to be the manager possibly named Reuben approached us in an extremely rude and aggressive manner. Without any explanation or courtesy, he repeatedly shouted “No! No!” and told us to go to the cash machine across the road. His behavior was unnecessarily confrontational and frankly quite alarming. I was genuinely shocked at how unprofessionally he handled the situation, and it clearly made other staff members uncomfortable too.||This interaction unfortunately cast a shadow over an otherwise pleasant stay. The hotel itself is quite nice and appears to be undergoing maintenance. As a result, the gym was dusty and lacked water facilities, but I imagine this will improve once renovations are complete.||The breakfast service was excellent great variety and quality. However, the pool area is in need of refurbishment; it looks old and tired, and again, hopefully, this is part of the ongoing improvements.||Overall, the hotel has a lot of potential and many positives, but our experience was let down by the poor handling of a very minor issue by one member of staff.

When I first stayed at this hotel about five years ago, I was blown away by the stunning views of the Ria Formosa and the expansive rooftop area with its pool and bar. However, during my recent visit last month, I was somewhat disappointed. While the rooms are still nice, the rest of the hotel is clearly starting to show its age. Particularly the restaurant and rooftop bar, which are in serious need of repairs and updates. That said, the food and service remain excellent.

Perfect hotel for a stay at Faro, amazing location by the airport busy stop, rail station and the harbour plus surrounded by restaurants and bars. The hotel itself has everything, great pool and sun loungers already had somewhere to sit, a bar on the roof too and an outdoor lounge area and beautiful restaurant. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice and a piano player to make it really special. The hotel went out of their way to help me celebrate my sisters 40th and would come here again anytime I’m in Faro!
