We stayed mid October (2025). After checking in i asked the desk staff to send the housekeeping staff up to our room to clean the bathroom again . It hadn't been cleaned properly. And in a top drawer, there was cake crumbs and a used tea bag wrapper, from a previous guest. The bathroom was cleaned as per my request. The crumbs and wrapper were still in the drawer a week later. During the week, i kicked a flip flop under my bed. I had to pull the bed out to retrieve it. Under the 2 twin beds, it was thick with dust. The housekeeping staff made up the 2 beds every day, cleaned the bathroom & left clean towels. They didnt sweep the floor behind/around/under the waste paper bin, around the dressing table or the balcony floor, which was unswept when we checked in. The balcony table was not wiped clean once. My stay (with my friend) was mid October and our weather was hot hot hot! And the rooftop pool and surrounding sun bathing area was closed. And sadly, all the front desk staff (apart from 2 men manning the desk on Sunday 26 Oct, very friendly, very helpful....and both were smiling and jovial) were not very friendly. Does no one smile? Are the hospitality staff trained not to appear happy to see us guests coming through the doors? I and my friend loved our stay in Faro but sadly the Eva Senses wasn't the great hotel we were led to expect. We read all it offered online before we booked. It looked perfect. A little expensive, but we didnt mind that if it was as great as it stated on their website. Its a shame, we were really very disappointed after being super excited about going to stay at the Eva Senses. Breakfast buffet was excellent, pianist absolutely fantastic, views from the restaurant amazing, the hotel in general spotless. But just not our room. Sadly, we feel very, very let down.

We booked this hotel because of its location in Faro, which is excellent, right on the marina and a short walk into the town. We’d read the reviews before we booked which said the hotel needed some updating and looked a little tired, and they certainly weren’t wrong. Our room (a city view suite) was large and comfortable but could certainly do with an update on the decor. The main public areas are comfortable and modern, however the roof top pool and bar was not only grubby and tired, it was simply a health and safety hazard. A lot of the sun beds are broken and in pieces just left where they have broken (having obviously not been inspected for quite some time), the glass safety barriers are filthy to the point it’s difficult to see through them, there are also numerous glass panels cracked or broken (surely a safety problem on the 5th floor), the canopy on the bathroom terrace was just shabby and a disgrace. The service in the bar on the ground floor was also abysmal, we went in on two occasions and were simply ignored by the staff so went elsewhere on both occasions (which is a shame because we like a drink on holiday and usually spend a few hundred euros in the hotel bar whilst we’re away). The maid service in the room wasn’t great either we were there for 6 nights in total and never received a single replacement teabag/sugar/creamer over the whole holiday, simply unacceptable when you pay over £200 per night in our opinion! On the positive side, The reception staff were polite and very helpful (especially with a problem we had during the holiday) the breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had whilst abroad, and the staff in the restaurant were great. Yeah that’s the only positives really!! A shame to be honest, it could be a really great hotel because of the location and layout. Would we book the hotel again? Probably not is the honest answer, I hope they get their act together and spend some money over the winter (and train their staff properly). Will they? Who knows.

I very much appreciated the service, location, and accommodations. Due to issue with another booked hotel, I came here to inquire if I could get a last minute room. They were able to provide one. I am very grateful for their service. The hotel is in a prime location by the water, a nice stroll around with a perfect view of the sunset, good eateries at the hotel and short walk away. I highly recommend the AP Eva Senses. It is worth the little bit extra especially for a solo traveler!

We stayed in a standard double with a city view room for 2 nights. The room was spacious and had a nice view of the outside road. The breakfast area was large and a nice setting to enjoy a meal, as you looked over the water area in Faro. A very busy hotel whilst we were there (mid-September) but convenient location nonetheless. Faro city itself does not contain too much to see, but the hotel is located close enough to explore the sites via walking. A nice place to base yourself to explore areas around Faro, I would say and the beach is a approx 20 minute drive away. Enjoyed 2 very good meals at Faaron steakhouse and The Chimney.

We had a suite for my husband, myself, and our two daughters. The room was very nice and clean. The breakfast included in the morning is outstanding with lots of choices. The upstairs pool is a little bit dated and was very chilly! But I believe they are renovating it this winter so it might be better next year. The staff was very friendly in the hotel is located in a great spot close to old town and lots of restaurants just five minutes away by walking.

Nice hotel, placed right next to the city center and the harbor. Friendly staff, good breakfast and we got a free upgrade to a suite! We were able to check in early (before 2 PM). Be prepared for a little noise at night if you have a room with city view. Also be aware that you have to give a €10 deposit per pool towel in cash which you will get back when you hand in the towels again.

Lovely setting overlooking the harbour, needs a good tidy up.|Two out of five nights external noise meant little sleep. Local bar playing very loud music until early hours.|Room clean but poorly finished, electric cable with bare wires. |Staff all very friendly and helpful, breakfast adequate.|Swimming pool has green algae growing in it, needs a good clean and area around it refurbished.|We enjoyed our stay but this hotel needs some attention.

A number of negative points to what could be a great hotel due to its location. The first being if you book a harbour room make sure you are not given room 402. Ask for a floor below. The noise above was because this room was directly below the rooftop bar. The scraping of chairs and banging about goes on until 1am and then began around 6am. My sleep was broken 3 times. The next point is you have to provide €10 euro cash only for a pool towel. Very much an unnecessary procedure. Why not allocate towel cards on arrival. The third is you can use the indoor pool without a shower cap, which you guessed it, you will have to pay for. This is an additional €5.|The indoor pool within the spa isn’t heated as you would imagine and is a real shock to the system. |The hotel is extremely busy and check in is like wacky races. The poor staff are overwhelmed. All in all, the hotel is in a fantastic location and if you can book a lower harbour room with balcony. Other than that I’m afraid it’s overpriced and underwhelming.
