APA Hotel Roppongi Ekimae

I don’t usually write reviews, but tonight the staff truly went above and beyond. I had been waiting by a laundromat machine that had just finished, but the owner of the clothes took their time returning. I went downstairs to ask if someone could assist, and the receptionist let me know the load had just been removed. When I returned to the laundromat, someone else had taken the machine, which was frustrating. Another machine was almost done, but I didn’t want a repeat of the experience. A staff member (a trainee) who was checking on the area kindly offered to wait by the machine and remove the clothes as soon as it finished. She was extremely polite and professional. Her help genuinely made my night. Thank you to the APA staff for the excellent service!

Great location in the Roppongi district, set a bit back from the main road so there were no noise issues. The room included a bed, a small desk, and a bathroom with a compact tub. Although small, the space was used efficiently. The authentic breakfast was a wonderful way to start the day!

This place is a complete nightmare of a hotel. Check-in is at 3 p.m., but they kick you out at 10 a.m. sharp. I booked 8 nights but couldn’t bear to stay — I had to request a refund. The room is tiny, claustrophobic, and unbelievably uncomfortable. And I’m a small person, yet it still felt like being trapped in a box. Want to check in early or stay a bit later? They’ll happily slap you with outrageous extra charges. There is absolutely no real service here — everything is cold, self-service, and without a hint of genuine hospitality. The price is insanely expensive, and what you get is the exact opposite of what you’d expect for the money. A total rip-off.

Rooms are super tiny. So if you have large luggage or feel claustrophobic I would not recommend staying here. For short stays with small light luggage then this place is great as it's by the station and right in the middle of Roppongi.

This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Roppongi. If you're a business person traveling in the area or someone who likes The nightlife, this hotel is a little out of the way, but it is right near everything you needed to be when I say out of the way. It's a little confusing to get there, but once you're there and understand the location it provides everything you need. The customer service as always in Japan is amazing. The rooms are a tad bit small but that's what these types and this brand of hotel is all about effective space. Everything in this hotel room had a place and there's no empty space. Everything is where it needs to be. I would say they need to upgrade their televisions because not everyone speaks Japanese and they do not have Smart TVs in their rooms. This is the third hotel I've stayed in of this brand and none of them have Smart TVs.

Only good thing is location I stayed at multiple hotels in nearby areas but this was most compact room I've ever seen. And you are in Tokyo and no heated toilet seats. Also they don't provide any cutliries and other small services.

The property offers decent facilities, including an onsen. It's only a 5-minute walk to the nearest Donki, but it takes almost 10 minutes to walk to nearby subway stations. While the hotel is relatively clean, cleaning was only done every 3rd day of your stay, yet cleaning was not thorough like the Japanese standard--a layer of dust on the headboard and desk has built up on the 4th day, he did not refill the tissue box, and forgot to replenish the coffee/tea drawer. I noticed a small piece of garbage (was a watch band pin) on the hallway floor for several days and began to wonder if the floors were ever vacuumed.

This hotel is very bad at servicing . I have inform them twice to please clean the room but they didn’t clean even single time also . And the manager name called Shunsuke Hisaka said we don’t clean the bedsheets because it’s not in his policy . Really this the service of APA hotel . Very disrespectful and unsatisfying . Never gonna use the APA hotel again .

My wife and I booked this hotel very last minute...a day before our 5-day trip to Tokyo. Surprisingly, we were able to book at a great rate through Booking.com, despite the last minute reservation. I was very concerned prior to my stay due to a lot of reviews mentioning that the rooms were small, but this hotel exceeded my expectations with the location, cleanliness, and great service. The hotel room was small as described in reviews. However, there was enough space to accommodate my wife and I comfortably during our trip. Regardless, we were out exploring Tokyo everyday and basically spent time in our room to shower and get some sleep. The room was clean which makes it comfortable and the maid service was spectacular, while providing you with fresh towels, shavers, pajama robes, and toothbrushes. If you are looking for a hotel with a GREAT LOCATION during your stay in Roppongi, I would highly recommend this hotel. It is nearby everything you want to be close to, including great places to eat at the train stations...not to mention Starbucks, Don Quijote, and Family Mart. There is also a 24-hour sushi spot called Sushi Zanmai which also serves delicious sushi. Lastly, this hotel provides option for daily breakfast for $14-$16 USD. The breakfast options are great and also very satisfying. I didn't realize something as simple as an omelet could taste so good. I have to say it was the best tasting omelette I ever ate, as it was so fluffy and tasty! This hotel will be my first option if I ever plan to stay in Roppongi again.

Low budget stay for a date night with an endless amount of restaurants and bars in walking distance. The room is small but we are familiar with that in local hotels. The bed is very low and soft and did my back no favors.

Typical (meaning small rooms and few amenities) but brand new APA hotel in Roppongi. Pros: fresh new carpet smell, comfy beds, good curtains to darken the room for sleeping, and close to metro, bars and restaurants. Cons: no coin laundry (unlike many other newer APA hotels) and only one elevator for the 15 story hotel - be prepared to wait when things get busy.

Yes, the room is tiny, but that's to be expected in Tokyo. I found the bed to be very comfortable and the service great. I loved all the small items they give you daily in the hotel like bath sponges, dental kits, hairbrushes, and even bottle water. The location is amazing. It's right by the Roppongi train station and so close to so many amazing places to eat & drink. I only had 2 complaints. One was the blanket was pretty heavy making it very warm in the middle of the night. I would constantly have to remove it from me to sleep in the middle of the night. The other was that the TV only had BBC World as their English speaking channel and even that was dubbed in Japanese half the time so you couldn't understand it.

the hotel is in a good location close to metro station room is extremely small even for Japan standards staff is pleasant but not very helpful; also travelled to Kyoto and Kanazawa where the rooms where night and day better than the room in Tokyo for comparable price
