I stayed one night while on vacation & enjoyed it :)
Room was especially compact, but also laid out more thoughtfully than most. What I liked most, compared with other hotels, was the TV software—when I came in the room, it was already on in English, with a home screen showing a little video how to wear yukata, bath crowdedness meter, and other facility info. It's a welcoming touch, and I really appreciated the free streaming music & videos (with English subtitles).
Raised walkways connect the hotel to the station, malls, even Takasaki Tower Museum of Art (unfortunately closed the day I visited), and it was easy to catch the bus to Kannon-yama from here (worth the trip!).
Front desk staff were very nice, and the breakfast was tasty.
I want to stay again next time I visit Japan!
