We loved our stay at Apa Kabar! For the very low cost we really don’t have any complaints. Staff were very nice, our room was cleaned each day, the pool was super fun, and there is decent snorkeling right in front of the hotel. It is an older hotel, but for the price you can’t beat it! Our boys stayed in the loft in our one room cottage. It was perfect for them. A little hot, but with the fan they did fine. Breakfast included is fine. We were able to arrange bike rentals and laundry for really cheap rates right at the hotel too.

The villas, decor, staff and service are just as described on their website. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The cafe has been renovated and has a very Italian atmosphere and the coffee is excellent. Plenty of off road parking. Good snorkeling off a very clean and maintained beach. This is my third trip to Apa Kabar and I’ll be back.

Everything was relatively decent during my 2 week stay at Apa Kabar Unfortunately when the hotel bill came there was an issue as I was told it's 50k per day for bike rental but the bill showed 70k. I know it doesn't seem like a big deal but it was the hotel manager's mistake, not mine so I expected them to take the hit and give me the price I was quoted; Instead I was given quite a rude and unapologetic response Apart from that, the staff are really friendly and helpful apart from the aforementioned manager and overall it's pretty good value for money, right on the seafront for 600k per night. Sadly there are a few cleanliness issues as well such broken & dusty lamp shades and a dirty mosquito net in my room The restaurant has some pretty good dishes like the fish curry; Quality varies depending on what you order This could have been a 5 star rating, it's a shame about the manager's attitude and the few cleanliness issues which could have been easily mitigated

The villas are right on Amed beach which is full of working fishing boats. It's a pebble beach with good snorkeling right beside the villas on the left. You can book snorkeling and sunset tours right out front with a local called Johan. I was in the private villa with its own infinity pool overlooking the ocean. Service was friendly, food was good. I'd absolutely stay again.

Been twice before ... great location. Would not recommend it again... WARNING........Apa Kabar cancelled reservation through bookings for our Christmas reservation a week before arrival. (We booked 6 months earlier) Bookings said the establishment cancelled, they had overbooked was then told villa pool needed urgent repairs even though villa was still advertised. No hot or cold water and brought sheets from home and cleaning products. Due to the great location, it was no big issue. But I can't overlook cancelling accommodation a week before arriving for Christmas and untruths.

Do not trust this accommodation. Have stayed twice previously. |They have cancelled our Christmas accommodation on bookings 21 Dec - 31 Dec (booked 6 months earlier) a week before we leave. We now have to find new accommodation a week before we fly out.

Location is the best! In front of the beach but rooms are old. Problems with water. Sometimes no water, sometimes just only hot water. Or just very weak water. Very poor breakfast. No good coffee. Not very well clean rooms. Looks very old. Very slow at check in. We texted before arriving a few hours ago and room wasn’t ready. We just liked only the location.

Recently stayed here with my family, we had 3 cottage sea view rooms. We have stayed in Amed many times now, at various hotels, and this has to be one of the best location we have found. Literally right on the beach, without gorgeous ocean views and great snorkeling right out the front. So many fish and great coral, highly recommended. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food in the little restaurant is ok, and the rooms are comfortable. The Cottage rooms have an upstairs mezzaine level with 2 small beds, great for children of a slightly older age as the stairs are too steep for small children. There is a good coffee shop and a couple of good little restaurants within about 100m of the hotel. Overall, a very relaxing stay and we will certainly be coming back again soon.
